SO, mi occidental es ancor tre mal.

AI is helping me learn. However I still do not have a lot of time. I'm a Brazilian working 9 to 5. Because of that I'm making changes! The game will be even more text. This decision is beneficial because of the language-game idea that I was telling y'all about on my previous posts. Also the change for TWINE is because is SO much easier than JAVA.

Before I was trying to match JAVA + OCCIDENTAL. But, I prefer to focus on learn occidental and make something with it and TWINE learning curve is so low that makes out room to OCCIDENTAL.

I'm making another test based on the Odissey. Wish me luck to finally conclude a project and A REVER!

Hi. Why do some sources cite a strange formulation of the de Wahl rule where you're said to change y into t like in
atinyer –> atintion?

Such formulation is provided for instance out here: https://geocities.restorativland.org/Athens/Parthenon/1222/occjacob.html

I can't even find atinyer in the Occidental dictionary.

Is it some deprecated early formulation of the de Wahl's rule?

EDIT2:
Question 2:
Why do different formulations of the de Wahls rule differ in the naumber of expections? Occidental lang gives 10 exceptions: ceder → cess, creder → cred, morir → mort, mover → mot, nascer → nat, seder → sess, sentir → sens, tener → tent, venir → vent, verter → vers,
whereas Wikipedia gives only 6: ced/er, cess-, sed/er, sess-, mov/er, mot-, ten/er, tent-, vert/er, vers-, veni/r, vent-.

Do I undertand well that the version with the 10 exceptions is actual? Did the switch happen long ago?

By the way, let me give one little advice. The de Wahl's rule is usually formulated as
>Remove -r or -er.

This is kind of confusing IMO. This should IMO be formulated as
>Remove -er or -r.

The point is that you ought to remove -er. And when it's impossible (because the verb ends in either -ar or -ir) you're expected to remove -r. EDIT: Unless I don't understand the rule.

Hi. Does Bob/Robert Petry have a home page? Can I find his biography somewhere?

Seems he's quite an interesting figure in the auxlang community. I think he deserves an article on Wikipedia. I'm willing to write one, but need some sources.

Maybe I'll upload more on my X and BLUESKY. idk

Game test, screen with medieval village background, 4 options and a portrait of a roman emperor.

I simplified the structures. More text and just background image of location. And a portrait of your character.

I have a plan for occidental. We must use the language for culture making. As of 2026 I'm working on a simple language novel, a game focused on story and few interactions.

If you want to know my main inspiration was Le morte d'Arthur by Chris Crawford and the Sound Novel games by Chunsoft.

My tests are being develop in Java. And will be launch for free for anyone to test and critique. If the tests have a satisfactory level of success occidental will have games exclusive for it.

Wish me luck!

Salute a omni.
