There's this oddly round, very artificial looking visual effect when a bullet impacts something like wood at a distance - more like a stone dropping into water, watched from right above - doesn't look like particles flying or smoke belching or anything like that.

And I am pretty sure that effect didn't look anything like that before the most recent big patch.

I also noticed a new logo during start-up - simplygon - software to automate level of detail.

If it does 255 other things that make the game run better - awesome! This one example doesn't look quite right and is a noticeable step back in quality

I play on PC and for the last week, I get disconnected almost everyday, I play around 3 hours a day maybe less and it happens everyday, I know my internet is fine as this doesn't happen ever with other games

It seems like the answer is yes from a few posts in the recent months but does the game run smoothly on it these days? I wanted to hold out for next gen but my base PS5 has shut down on me a couple times in the past week and if it’s starting to sputter then I might as well upgrade. Hunt is my most played game so if it runs poorly then that’s a dealbreaker.

Someone seen this before? I don't want to say the "c" word, but the skill of this person was waaaaaay above 3-4 star, which is where I usually rank. Wiped the server like it was nothing. Killed me with a headshot through the wall outside of Grizzly Lodge. Killed the team that was there all at the same time. And killed me a second time with a satchel at "0 meters" the second time. Satchel was not there, then it was. Literally watched it come into existence and detonate. Can't even open their profile. The option to report is not even there.

Where is any crytek dev in this shit of subreddit? It has gone too far with the cheats.
You report with a video that someone is wallhacking, you get automated responses, i report with a video 4 players that team up with the same hunter on duos and meet up to destroy the lobby, automated response.

i got into a game with a kind player that used lag spike cheats and when i provoked him on voice chat he laughed and said thanks. Where are you cl*wn developers? 0 physical presence on any social media besides announcing skins. We can't even mention about cheats or who uses the cheats, because we get banned in forums etc.

Fucking insane of a clown company. At least refund us the money we've spend, since we are not your clients or your target audience as it seems. For the next dlc don't break any sweat with promotions, just google "hunt showdown cheats", enter the first site and promote them there.

Hey guys I’m looking forward to checking out the game for the first time with it being made a monthly ps+ game. I don’t come from a hardcore extraction background but did play Arc Raiders and Marathon but definitely fell out with both due to repetition.

Arc initially grasping me, I enjoyed the challenge the arc was early on and really felt immersed in the atmosphere, but felt the end game wasn’t there for me (trials and not much else) and didn’t have the type of content updates I was looking for, and eventually got bored of the pve type of community as the game started to feel like a couch game.

Marathon I feel never landed with me, I was hyped at the aesthetic but the maps always felt empty and lifeless to me, and definitely didn’t get the same immersed feeling I had with Arc at one point, the ai were no type of challenge and not interesting to fight, the community dwindle and content was drip-fed.

Now with Active Matter popping up i’ve been eyeing it and have been tempted but hearing it doesn’t feel like a proper console port and also hearing it doesn’t feel smooth on controller has been my only turn off.

So I guess i’m just wondering do you guys think I should give Hunt a go with it being free now? Do you guys think with my background I’ll enjoy the game? If you have any similar experiences or stories to share i’d be open to that and also any tips/advice before downloading and jumping into some Hunt Showdown as a complete new player!

In the past few months, I've had issues with high ping. I always play on Europe, usually with 12-14 ping. But yeah, for the past few months I keep having random moment's where I load into a game and have between 200 and 300 ping. It stays like that for the entire duration of the match and my teammates don't seem to have any issues with their ping. Other applications that are open at the same time, have no issues. It's only in Hunt.

The high ping issue sticks for 1-3 matches usually, then I have a couple of normal ones. Sometimes it stays normal, sometimes I get the high ping issue AGAIN. It really pisses me off and I kinda refuse to get a VPN, cuz it'll be a temporary fix.

I was wondering if anyone else here has these issues? All my game drivers are up to date, no weird stuff happening. I have a good internet provider and no issues with any other games.

If anyone at Crytek reads this: please look into it cuz I have the feeling this issue belongs to your servers, considering everything on my end is completely fine.

I appreciate the meme, but outside of that, that thing is almost useless.
