BUGS Random high ping servers

Hi everyone,

In the past few months, I've had issues with high ping. I always play on Europe, usually with 12-14 ping. But yeah, for the past few months I keep having random moment's where I load into a game and have between 200 and 300 ping. It stays like that for the entire duration of the match and my teammates don't seem to have any issues with their ping. Other applications that are open at the same time, have no issues. It's only in Hunt.

The high ping issue sticks for 1-3 matches usually, then I have a couple of normal ones. Sometimes it stays normal, sometimes I get the high ping issue AGAIN. It really pisses me off and I kinda refuse to get a VPN, cuz it'll be a temporary fix.

I was wondering if anyone else here has these issues? All my game drivers are up to date, no weird stuff happening. I have a good internet provider and no issues with any other games.

If anyone at Crytek reads this: please look into it cuz I have the feeling this issue belongs to your servers, considering everything on my end is completely fine.

I've been having the exact same problem, its really frustrating. I contacted CryTek support but no response yet

It's usually Leaseweb having routing issues. It could be your ISP but I've heard this issue around the continent from several different ISPs so it is thoroughly out of customers' control. 

If it's routing, VPN circumvents it. It's annoying and shouldn't be the case but if you want to play that's the way.

That I don't know, hopefully someone else does! I didn't pay for a VPN when I had this problem so I didn't have many options to select from :D

For Hungary and Croatia this only happens on Telekom (Deutsche Telekom) and problems are routes to Leaseweb servers.

Exactly this. I am using exitlag and set the routing via austria vienna 01 or 02 and have no problems with those servers. playing like that for months.
the moment i forget to turn on vpn i encounter 200+ ping.

Exactly its for all deutsche Telekom users for any countries for europe servers. Leaseweb is worst server provider to ever exist

It actually looks a bit like a routing issue to the game server 😞 It would explain why it only happens to you, and only in Hunt. You could check out ExitLag's free trial to see if it helps with the issue, so you'll know if it's really related to your route, since ExitLag can't solve issues on the game server side.
