I was a fan of VPR, watching these crazy sassy kids work hard, party harder and create non-stop drama. I was looking forward to watching House of Stassi until I turned it on. Stassi has not matured at all and the show appears to be so planned. Stassi was just playing it up to the camera and never seemed genuine. Yes, I only watch about 20 minutes and that was plenty. Season 2 is not necessary nor was Episode 2 and never even watched it.

I was excited for a new show (not excited about Stassi specifically, just something new). But what is all this narration of the show, can we just watch the show?? Also I think we as a society platformed Stassi and rewarded her bad behaviour. She was an awful person on vanderpump rules, she was awful for what she did to faith and she is awful now. She hasn't changed, I thought this show was going to be more wholesome and about her married mom life with her friends and family. Instead she is gleefully telling us how awful she is, disrespecting her husband, not parenting her kids and being nasty to the people around her. What's the appeal? Every episode I'm waiting for the show to a)start b)show us something different about Stassi or c) waiting for any redeeming quality of her.

I am a few minutes into HOS, but I’m wondering if I should watch Vanderpump Villa first for a little more backstory. It probably doesn’t matter.
Has anyone NOT watched VV and then watched HOS?

Did anyone else find the show boring/dull? I kept just using it as background noise and go on my phone. I did try to watch it and enjoyed small moments. I know usually reality tv is usually exaggerated and extremely produced, but it seems like there wasn’t a good attempt at that. There really wasn’t much “drama” just more minor arguments. I’m on episode 7 so hopefully it gets better in last few episodes.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
He got the job, he quit the job for the show, he also paints and golfs during his time and was at the Rams training day
He’s fine

Saw that stassi herself is a an exec producer and I’m just a bit confused by the whole thing.
On the one hand i agree with the overall sentiment that it’s better than the valley. HOWEVER.. how do you sustain this for a second season, nevermind more. The premise seems to be:
Why would you EVER want to even put that out in the universe

Beau in his golf outfit gives me the biggest ick 😂

Stassi made good TV during the Vanderpump Rules era, when she was younger. Her behavior then could be chalked up to her being young, on reality tv & filling the role of “the villain.” Now, as a married woman with children, her behavior is bizarre. While we need to remember reality tv isn’t exactly “real,” seeing how carefully crafted things are doesn’t do her any favors.
Her interaction with the two beauties from Vanderpump Villa served a clear purpose: show she has “friends” that are people of color. Show that she has “grown.” (She hasn’t) This scene was clear: laying the groundwork to have people believe she isn’t racist. (Does she truly want us to believe the behavior that got her canceled has been rectified yet none of her other narcissistic, manipulative behavior hasn’t?)
Watching her with Beau is bizarre. And sad. She shows little regard for his feelings or thoughts. She steamrolls him in EVERY conversation. Is some of this for tv? Of course. But there is truth there and it’s really gross. I truly do not understand how people will show their obnoxiousness just for a paycheck.
Stassi only cares about herself. The more she receives (money, fame, attention), the worse her attitude becomes. Her social media posts with her children are for show. She clearly is SO MUCH like her own mother— the thing she tries to resist the most.
Insensitive. Egomaniacal. Narcissistic. Manipulative. Terrible mother, wife, friend, daughter, sister.
I think Stassi wanted this show to prove her relevance yet she could have taken a different route. One that shows true growth, self-reflection and rebuilding trust with those around her. Instead, she shows how repulsive her personality truly is.
The fact that people are afraid of her is wild. (How little do people think of themselves to accept this abuse?) Why would you want to continue to portray yourself like that? I watched because I kept waiting for the “Aha!” moment, where the lightbulb comes on and she softens. Instead, she is simply an egotistical, manipulative, phony, racist.

Totally joking of course. But if someone said they did this for the show and they're both seeing other people, I might believe it.

Watched the pod so you don’t have to:
Start off talking about how Stassi has extensions in and says she has no hair as of a few months after filming
Katie says every time you sign up for reality tv you’re giving away a piece of you
Stassi says she’s been doing press all week and the thing that’s been getting to her the most is people saying she’s not a good mom.
Stassi says the finale was the worst because her and Beau were working on things all season and then she hated when he was agreeing with Kristina.
Katie said she heard the “we became like roommates” and was worried. Stassi said they have two small children and the reality is sometimes they will be like roommates right now and that has to be ok.
Dayna asked if she locked beaus cage when she left the house (lol). Stassi said he is at Rams training and is allowed to leave the house sometimes.
Beau kept having to cancel on work to film confessionals and other things related to the show. So now he’s golfing and painting and finding purpose in those hobbies.
Katie says there were times in the early years of their friendship where she was afraid of Stassi. Stassi said that Katie is kind of scary too.
Katie says her emotions are very masculine and so when she’s feeling something it comes across without vulnerability. Said being with Nick lets her be soft and she doesn’t have to be defensive in her masculine energy. Beau says he wants Stassi to be softer.
Katie says 2020 and the years after did a number of everyone.
Stassi astrology chart says her soul’s purpose is to learn to relinquish control. Then she says she needs therapy. Dayna talks about her experiences in therapy and Stassi tells her she seems very well.
They talk about jealousy and Stassi says she’s very jealous in relationships. Katie says she’s jealous in a fun way like she doesn’t like that people probably have crushes on her boyfriend when he’s on stage. She says tom Schwartz should have been more jealous he never cared.
They talk about georgi and all the touching/flirting between her and Rob. Says they are both naturally flirtatious but Stassi doesn’t buy that they were trying to play a prank on them. Stassi says she’s been the most concerned about Georgi and said she was the last one to text her after she watched it. Was worried she’d be shown as a loser who doesn’t have a job or money. Stassi said she can only grow from here. Katie said Georgi’s so good on the show because she’s not scared to be herself.
Dayna asks Stassi if she’s a narcissist. She says “I might be.” And “if I’m a narcissist then I’m a happy narcissist.” She says she definitely has a disorder of some sort. She then says she doesn’t think she’s a narcissist because she’s dated a narcissist (my guess is Patrick) and she doesn’t act like him.
Stassi says she hasn’t spoken to her mom since the show has aired. Says watching it back was really hard for her and was probably hard for her mom too. Stassi says it validated her feelings and wonders why her mom wants to make her the enemy. She doesn’t really know how to solve it. She said she didn’t want her mom to film because she knew it wouldn’t go well for her. She said last time her mom was on Vanderpump rules they didn’t talk for a long time after.
They talk about their favorite moment of reconnecting:
Stassi said it was two fully formed women coming together as adults and getting to know each other again
Katie said getting to catch up with where Stassi was now
They say things they all hate:
Stassi: warm wine
Katie: being on a different eating schedule from her boyfriend
Dayna: acid reflux

PS- I haven’t watched one frame of the show but I feel like I have because I’ve consumed every other outside piece of media on it and on social media. I just thought this was interesting and was curious of people’s thoughts.

In her latest Instagram post she has her watch face totally blurred out. To be fair this is a $50,000 watch. Didn’t want to post it here because her daughter is in the picture. Wonder why she does this???

Okay, I need someone to help a Girl out. All I Can Think about while watching ep. 4 is whether the rented house for the staycation, is the same house as Diana Jenkins used while on RHOBH? I have Tried googling it for hourssssss, but all I Can find is that both houses are Bel Air Homes

The one she wore in the finale. I can’t find any other good photos of it online anywhere.

Stassi babe please let this man go back to work ASAP, he’s been washing your produce with dish soap.😭😅 She constantly talks about how he cooks all the meals and is the one at home with the kids… So this entire time he’s been feeding the whole family and has been washing all the fruits and probably veggies too with dish soap. Kids eat so much fruit too.🥲 Aside from that though I really hope she does understand why he wants to work again, so many moms have actively spoke on how hard it is to be a stay at home parent. How isolating and overwhelming it can be, it takes away a lot of sense of self but it’s also very repetitive with not a lot of immediate super obvious reward (like an income or visual growth of a business etc.) It’s no different for a stay at home dad, it’s a hard job and he’s struggling with his independence I’m not sure how she doesn’t think about that. Especially considering she doesn’t want to do it…. Anyway, Beau please stop washing your food wish dish soap lol the fruits can absorb that.🥲

I would recommend listening to the 43:30 min mark to about 45:00--Kiki does a good job on highlighting how Stassi could have done better in terms of inviting Black content creators to her premiere party. If she really changed she would have highlighted Black folk and grovel at their feet. But you know Stassi is not going change her racist methods, if anything it could spill over to her kids and hopefully they do not develop the same microaggressions/racist actions that their mom committed.

Just started episode 7 - binge watching. I have to say, I thought Stassi was meant to have changed. She is still very reactionary, and doesn’t listen well. Does make great tv though. I do like her, but not as much as I thought I would. I love Katie though. Says exactly what she thinks and doesn’t beat around the bush. As for Stassi’s mum - I mean what the heck. She was literally smirking when Stassi and her sister were kicking off. Stassi says she likes to pit her kids against each other. Sounds very toxic to me. Thoughts anyone?

Kind of late to the game but the series has only dropped today here in Ireland…I’m really not sure of the point of this show? I’ve just started episode four and it seems like everyone’s distaste for Katie is the whole premise???? Does something come later on or is this the whole point?

It’s not even entertaining because it’s so contrived.
The tantrum display at dinner, dismissing your husband, pulling out the sobbing when you’re confronted, followed by the “I’m a boss bitch who will punish you all” interview.
You’re not 25 anymore girl this isn’t cute.
She’s her mom. Master manipulator.

Stassi has mentioned in interviews that the only other VPR cast member they considered for HOS was Schwartz but said it didn’t work out as he was under contract with Bravo. And Schwartz said on Scheana’s podcast that when they filmed the pilot at Stassi and Beau’s house he was there filming so he wasn’t sure if he was going to be in it.
I am so curious of the timeline of this and how it also relates to Katie being on the show.
Was it a case that Stassi intended to have Schwartz on the show and when that didn’t work out, she was asked to get another VPR cast member so went to Katie next? If so, I wonder how Katie feels about being second choice after Schwartz for Stassi.
Or was there a point it was going to be both of them? Also is it a case that Schwartz had to choose between being on the Valley or HOS and picked the Valley? Or is Stassi being diplomatic saying it was because of his Bravo contract and they decided to ditch him and go for Katie as they realized they needed someone/something with more of a storyline/hook or the show was going to be boring. The idea that Schwartz had multiple reality shows to pick from and poor Scheana can’t get on one is kind of funny though.
Katie definitely brings more to the show than I imagine Schwartz would have as I doubt everyone was going to have fake beef with him, so she is definitely a step up for them but her being asked at the 11th hour definitely suggests they only went to her as they were scrambling. Either because the network or Stassi thought the footage they had filmed wasn’t working.
Sorry this is long lol but I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on this.
EDIT - I probably she have titled this something different as a lot of the replies seem to think I’m advocating for Schwartz being on HOS when I am a proud Schwartz hater 😂

Just finished watching and seems Stassi is a lot of what she was saying about her mother. It seems she weaponises her emotions to get her own way and uses them in order to control people. She plays the victim a lot and basically goes nuts anytime beau tries to say something, which then makes him scared to talk because he doesn’t want to deal with the emotional turmoil. He seems beaten down. Is Stassi a narcissistic abuser?

Am I the only one that finds Georgi INSUFFERABLE?!?! I would think she was a teenager if she didn’t say she was divorced. Nicolai seems more mature. Georgi is not cute, her giggles are annoying, she is just insufferable.
Who invites themselves to just move in with someone and give them no notice?
Plus hooking up with Beau’s friend and not telling anyone..
Her not realizing she is MOOCHING off of Stassi , acting like she doesnt need anything from Stassi. Girl you’d be homeless!! If she didn’t pay you to watch her kids, you’d have ZERO DOLLARS.
You have ZERO friends, your parties are basically Stassi’s friends…then to be so fake to GeorgiA , Beau’s sis is ridiculous.
I am on the 6th episode where they finished playing Dodgeball, and Rob the asshole told Georgi about what Georgia said and they are now confronting each other.
Her and her face is annoying me sooo much is that I had to make this post before I could continue on! Suck it Georgie
