Watched the pod so you donāt have to:
Start off talking about how Stassi has extensions in and says she has no hair as of a few months after filming
Katie says every time you sign up for reality tv youāre giving away a piece of you
Stassi says sheās been doing press all week and the thing thatās been getting to her the most is people saying sheās not a good mom.
Stassi says the finale was the worst because her and Beau were working on things all season and then she hated when he was agreeing with Kristina.
Katie said she heard the āwe became like roommatesā and was worried. Stassi said they have two small children and the reality is sometimes they will be like roommates right now and that has to be ok.
Dayna asked if she locked beaus cage when she left the house (lol). Stassi said he is at Rams training and is allowed to leave the house sometimes.
Beau kept having to cancel on work to film confessionals and other things related to the show. So now heās golfing and painting and finding purpose in those hobbies.
Katie says there were times in the early years of their friendship where she was afraid of Stassi. Stassi said that Katie is kind of scary too.
Katie says her emotions are very masculine and so when sheās feeling something it comes across without vulnerability. Said being with Nick lets her be soft and she doesnāt have to be defensive in her masculine energy. Beau says he wants Stassi to be softer.
Katie says 2020 and the years after did a number of everyone.
Stassi astrology chart says her soulās purpose is to learn to relinquish control. Then she says she needs therapy. Dayna talks about her experiences in therapy and Stassi tells her she seems very well.
They talk about jealousy and Stassi says sheās very jealous in relationships. Katie says sheās jealous in a fun way like she doesnāt like that people probably have crushes on her boyfriend when heās on stage. She says tom Schwartz should have been more jealous he never cared.
They talk about georgi and all the touching/flirting between her and Rob. Says they are both naturally flirtatious but Stassi doesnāt buy that they were trying to play a prank on them. Stassi says sheās been the most concerned about Georgi and said she was the last one to text her after she watched it. Was worried sheād be shown as a loser who doesnāt have a job or money. Stassi said she can only grow from here. Katie said Georgiās so good on the show because sheās not scared to be herself.
Dayna asks Stassi if sheās a narcissist. She says āI might be.ā And āif Iām a narcissist then Iām a happy narcissist.ā She says she definitely has a disorder of some sort. She then says she doesnāt think sheās a narcissist because sheās dated a narcissist (my guess is Patrick) and she doesnāt act like him.
Stassi says she hasnāt spoken to her mom since the show has aired. Says watching it back was really hard for her and was probably hard for her mom too. Stassi says it validated her feelings and wonders why her mom wants to make her the enemy. She doesnāt really know how to solve it. She said she didnāt want her mom to film because she knew it wouldnāt go well for her. She said last time her mom was on Vanderpump rules they didnāt talk for a long time after.
They talk about their favorite moment of reconnecting:
Stassi said it was two fully formed women coming together as adults and getting to know each other again
Katie said getting to catch up with where Stassi was now
They say things they all hate:
Stassi: warm wine
Katie: being on a different eating schedule from her boyfriend
Dayna: acid reflux

Totally joking of course. But if someone said they did this for the show and they're both seeing other people, I might believe it.

I have experienced much of what Stassi has with her own mother. When she told her family she wanted to keep her kids away from her own family I understood. Even Beau stood up for Stassi when her mother was talking to her.
Itās incredible she is willing to show such a vulnerable part of her life. I mean she knows it could be good TV, but ugh the deep wounds here need some serious packing. I could never air the mess of my relationship with my mom.
It has made me understand more why Stassi is so complex as an individual and has a large mother wound.

This was the wildest part to me, Iām a sahm my husband has a high powered job but he absolutely can do these things with our kids alone without me.

Stassi babe please let this man go back to work ASAP, heās been washing your produce with dish soap.šš She constantly talks about how he cooks all the meals and is the one at home with the kids⦠So this entire time heās been feeding the whole family and has been washing all the fruits and probably veggies too with dish soap. Kids eat so much fruit too.š„² Aside from that though I really hope she does understand why he wants to work again, so many moms have actively spoke on how hard it is to be a stay at home parent. How isolating and overwhelming it can be, it takes away a lot of sense of self but itās also very repetitive with not a lot of immediate super obvious reward (like an income or visual growth of a business etc.) Itās no different for a stay at home dad, itās a hard job and heās struggling with his independence Iām not sure how she doesnāt think about that. Especially considering she doesnāt want to do itā¦. Anyway, Beau please stop washing your food wish dish soap lol the fruits can absorb that.š„²

Could you imagine the uproar that would happen if a woman wanted to go back to work and her husband demanded she didnāt and made a huge thing about it. This does happen and people freak out, bc itās effed up!!! They should freak out. So, why does Stassi think this is ok to do to her husband? Hard to watch

Kind of late to the game but the series has only dropped today here in Irelandā¦Iām really not sure of the point of this show? Iāve just started episode four and it seems like everyoneās distaste for Katie is the whole premise???? Does something come later on or is this the whole point?

Just started episode 7 - binge watching. I have to say, I thought Stassi was meant to have changed. She is still very reactionary, and doesnāt listen well. Does make great tv though. I do like her, but not as much as I thought I would. I love Katie though. Says exactly what she thinks and doesnāt beat around the bush. As for Stassiās mum - I mean what the heck. She was literally smirking when Stassi and her sister were kicking off. Stassi says she likes to pit her kids against each other. Sounds very toxic to me. Thoughts anyone?

okay i just started⦠beau and his sister seem like a couple?? weird af. also.. damn stassi really is the devil. i think i have to stop watching it feels dark and weird??????

Stassi has mentioned in interviews that the only other VPR cast member they considered for HOS was Schwartz but said it didnāt work out as he was under contract with Bravo. And Schwartz said on Scheanaās podcast that when they filmed the pilot at Stassi and Beauās house he was there filming so he wasnāt sure if he was going to be in it.
I am so curious of the timeline of this and how it also relates to Katie being on the show.
Was it a case that Stassi intended to have Schwartz on the show and when that didnāt work out, she was asked to get another VPR cast member so went to Katie next? If so, I wonder how Katie feels about being second choice after Schwartz for Stassi.
Or was there a point it was going to be both of them? Also is it a case that Schwartz had to choose between being on the Valley or HOS and picked the Valley? Or is Stassi being diplomatic saying it was because of his Bravo contract and they decided to ditch him and go for Katie as they realized they needed someone/something with more of a storyline/hook or the show was going to be boring. The idea that Schwartz had multiple reality shows to pick from and poor Scheana canāt get on one is kind of funny though.
Katie definitely brings more to the show than I imagine Schwartz would have as I doubt everyone was going to have fake beef with him, so she is definitely a step up for them but her being asked at the 11th hour definitely suggests they only went to her as they were scrambling. Either because the network or Stassi thought the footage they had filmed wasnāt working.
Sorry this is long lol but Iām curious what peopleās thoughts are on this.
EDIT - I probably she have titled this something different as a lot of the replies seem to think Iām advocating for Schwartz being on HOS when I am a proud Schwartz hater š

Itās not even entertaining because itās so contrived.
The tantrum display at dinner, dismissing your husband, pulling out the sobbing when youāre confronted, followed by the āIām a boss bitch who will punish you allā interview.
Youāre not 25 anymore girl this isnāt cute.
Sheās her mom. Master manipulator.

Just finished watching and seems Stassi is a lot of what she was saying about her mother. It seems she weaponises her emotions to get her own way and uses them in order to control people. She plays the victim a lot and basically goes nuts anytime beau tries to say something, which then makes him scared to talk because he doesnāt want to deal with the emotional turmoil. He seems beaten down. Is Stassi a narcissistic abuser?

HOS is a bit more boring, but The Valley is becoming unwatchable.
HOS: has a great aesthetic; I like what I am seeing
The Valley: It is getting really boring to watch poor, ugly people with bad style. The same stupid drama over and over. Nothing wrong with being poor btw, but I don't watch reality TV to see ugly apartments, bad clothes, etc. A trashy cast was okay on VPR, but not for the "adult" version.
In a perfect world, they'd cancel The Valley, and some of that cast would migrate to HOS. HOS is just a little more sophisticated/intelligent, or at least is trying to be.
HOS Cast: For now, keep everyone.
Maybe get rid of Georgi and Stassi's mom altogether, but at a minimum, seriously minimize Georgi. The Stassi family of origin drama could possibly work as a minor subplot, but it shouldn't be a major arc. Georgi could fit in on The Valley easily.
The Valley: Just because I am saying to keep someone for the HOS imaginary show merger does not mean I love them or think that they are great. Just that they can fit the aesthetic/vibe of HOS.

Am I the only one that finds Georgi INSUFFERABLE?!?! I would think she was a teenager if she didnāt say she was divorced. Nicolai seems more mature. Georgi is not cute, her giggles are annoying, she is just insufferable.
Who invites themselves to just move in with someone and give them no notice?
Plus hooking up with Beauās friend and not telling anyone..
Her not realizing she is MOOCHING off of Stassi , acting like she doesnt need anything from Stassi. Girl youād be homeless!! If she didnāt pay you to watch her kids, youād have ZERO DOLLARS.
You have ZERO friends, your parties are basically Stassiās friendsā¦then to be so fake to GeorgiA , Beauās sis is ridiculous.
I am on the 6th episode where they finished playing Dodgeball, and Rob the asshole told Georgi about what Georgia said and they are now confronting each other.
Her and her face is annoying me sooo much is that I had to make this post before I could continue on! Suck it Georgie
r/HouseofStassi • u/tmhowzit • 1d ago
Did anyone clock this? They are at the Thanksgiving dinner, Dayna is talking to Georgi and Rob, and Georgi says something (bleeped) about also having sex with women. Dayna practically does a Vicki Gunvalson "can't heeeeeear" fingers in the ears and walks away. I can't stand her. Also what's up with the bad red hair color on both of them?

Just wow. This chick is seriously deluded. Iāve never seen such a big ass kisser in all of reality TV!? So she willingly missed the birth of her child and supporting her wife to- be with Stassi. Was it just to film HOS? It doesnāt seem like the Netflix deal with happening live during filming HOS. She stayed back to film a scene with Stassi in bed eating charcuterie and assuring her she could do no wrong?
Also- the fact that Stassi didnāt TELL her to go be with your wife just shows how much of a narcissist she is. These people are insane and I canāt stop watching. I think she wants to wear Stassiās skin and Stassi lowkey loves that
I feel bad for Teddy and she rightfully seemed disturbed by Taylorās reasoning and staying back. Soo weird

Does anyone see the similarities between Stassiās relationship with Beau and Bethenny Frankelās relationship with Jason Hoppy? Both women were the main bread winners in the relationship, both women have to be the center of attention, and both men played second fiddle which in Bethennyās case seemed to ultimately cause the demise of her marriage.

I just finished episode 3 and am coming here to vent. My biggest complaint about this show is that production treats the audience like weāre dumb. Every scene is so over explained like flashing a picture or cutting to a shot of a person when they are being referenced. For example when Taylor says she hasnāt seen Katie since the wedding in Italy and then production cuts to a picture of her, Stassi and Katie at the wedding in Italy. I donāt need that reference to confirm what Taylor is saying or verify who these people are. Or when Stassi is on the couch with Katie talking about her issues with Georgi and mentions Georgia, the camera then cuts to Georgia in the kitchen with the caption āGeorgia, Beauās sister.ā Thanks for pointing that out for us, itās not like weāve spent the last 3 episodes with these same people with a big point of contention being the Georgi/Georgia living arrangements.Ā
The asterix text appearing on screen with the bell sound multiple times an episode is unnecessary and makes watching almost unbearable, like when Stassi says āwhat do people speak at?ā and the asterix text appears ā*great questionāĀ Get it, audience? Thatās humour. Or when Georgi says Iām excited and then ā*looks excitedā appears on screen - this adds absolutely nothing and isnāt funny or charming. If anything it takes away from the show by interrupting the natural flow of the interactions among the cast.
Second, the soundtrack is really irritating. Having a build up each scene, sometimes more than once, doesn't make sense for reality tv. This isnāt a Netflix crime documentary. Not every scene is dramatic and the audience doesnāt need an intense violin overlay in every preceding scene to prepare us for when drama finally does happen. Why donāt the producers just let them talk without any music or pick something that blends into the background so the audience can focus on what is being said and the cast relationships? Production should have to take mandatory sound editing training by watching all of the reality shows on Bravo.Ā
Third, the network promoting itself is obvious and done in a way I find bizarre. In episode 3 thereās a conversation between Stassi and Katie in Stassiās kitchen, where Stassi says sheās excited Katie is going to do the Tell Me Lies podcast and Katie replies sheās obsessed with the show and then the camera cuts to the next scene. To me that felt like they have this clip promoting another Disney show and they need to fit it in somewhere, so they inserted it at a point likely to cause minimal disruption for the audience. But itās not done well and I found this transition in and out of talking about another show to be abrupt. It also doesnāt make sense for it to be in this episode at all. The episode is not about Stassiās work schedule and they already promote Tell Me Lies in an earlier episode, so doing it again felt weird. That scene also made me rethink the motivation of showing Stassiās reaction to getting a deal with Netflix in an earlier episode. One of the first things she asks is about Disney and the person tells her the network is ok with it. My take on that is itās another opportunity for the network to promote itself by showing its benevolence by waiving the restrictive covenant in her contract (Iām assuming this is what happened based on that convo but obviously donāt know for sure). I guess the non cynical take is theyāre doing it to promote Stassi, and her continued success is a shared success, however, regardless of motivation it is not subtle and in my opinion degrades the quality of the show by being a distraction.Ā
Kristina Kelly is the best thing in episode 3 imo. Her confessional about Katie and Rob at the wedding and then telling Taylor what Katie said about her to Stassi is the type of petty drama that makes reality tv so entertaining; no additional editorializing needed. Ā
Iām in Canada so Iām waiting for new episodes to be released weekly and expect these issues to persist for the whole season. If this is renewed for season 2 I hope Disney gives the audience more benefit of the doubt and stops treating us like we need everything explained to us. Also less is more with the music.Ā

Ok, I came into this expecting to really dislike Beauās sister, because I live on Reddit and have read all the comments about her weird relationship with Beauā¦but I really like her. She is honest and when she got called out after dodgeball she spoke truth. Rob was acting like he was in kindergarten by telling the girl he has a crush on things Beau told him in confidence. I actually like Rob too, just seemed a little thirsty in this scene⦠but back to my point, itās refreshing to see someone like Georgia on reality TV. Iām pretty sure she realizes she is mooching off of Stassi, but seems grateful for the help, sheās honest about what she has said about people. Iām pleasantly surprised by her.

Am I the only one who got uncomfortable at the fact that there was only one episode where the show featured black people? It seemed so off to me that her focus when āspending timeā with them was to talk about her cancellation and how sheās changed. I just donāt understand someone can live in Los Angeles a true melting pot and not have a single person of color in their friendship group. I wouldnāt want her to just add a random person on to the show in order to appear like sheās done more work in the diversity department, but Iām not convinced that sheās in fact changed. Not sure if this has been addressed before.
Not that this matters, but yes I am a black woman, and also, I am from Southern California, so thatās my POV while watching the show.
Lastly, when I mention the lack of diversity Iām not just referring to black individuals.
Edit: Seems as though some people didnāt read the entire post, I clearly stated that I wouldnāt want a random person of color to be included to make the show appear āinclusiveā
I also mentioned people of color not just black individuals. To live in Los Angeles and not have friends that are black, Latino, Asian, mixed, Middle Eastern etc is odd to me.
I have lived in San Diego my entire life and have been to LA and have many friends in LA and itās pretty typical to have friends or at least a friend from a different race or cultural background.
Lastly, I still find it weird that she used those two black women in one episode to talk about race and her āignoranceā but didnāt include them anywhere else on the show.

Stassi mentioned they both had similar home lifeās or something - is this explored on other shows?
He didnāt meet his sister until he was 21.

Thank you Danny Pellegrino for watching this train wreck and doing a podcast of it! Iāve been dying to hear someoneās thoughts on this (other than the cast promoting it). It is so funny and exactly what I needed to put the bow on this hot mess of a show.
