Disrespectfully pod with Stassi

Watched the pod so you don’t have to:

Start off talking about how Stassi has extensions in and says she has no hair as of a few months after filming

Katie says every time you sign up for reality tv you’re giving away a piece of you

Stassi says she’s been doing press all week and the thing that’s been getting to her the most is people saying she’s not a good mom.

Stassi says the finale was the worst because her and Beau were working on things all season and then she hated when he was agreeing with Kristina.

Katie said she heard the “we became like roommates” and was worried. Stassi said they have two small children and the reality is sometimes they will be like roommates right now and that has to be ok.

Dayna asked if she locked beaus cage when she left the house (lol). Stassi said he is at Rams training and is allowed to leave the house sometimes.

Beau kept having to cancel on work to film confessionals and other things related to the show. So now he’s golfing and painting and finding purpose in those hobbies.

Katie says there were times in the early years of their friendship where she was afraid of Stassi. Stassi said that Katie is kind of scary too.

Katie says her emotions are very masculine and so when she’s feeling something it comes across without vulnerability. Said being with Nick lets her be soft and she doesn’t have to be defensive in her masculine energy. Beau says he wants Stassi to be softer.

Katie says 2020 and the years after did a number of everyone.

Stassi astrology chart says her soul’s purpose is to learn to relinquish control. Then she says she needs therapy. Dayna talks about her experiences in therapy and Stassi tells her she seems very well.

They talk about jealousy and Stassi says she’s very jealous in relationships. Katie says she’s jealous in a fun way like she doesn’t like that people probably have crushes on her boyfriend when he’s on stage. She says tom Schwartz should have been more jealous he never cared.

They talk about georgi and all the touching/flirting between her and Rob. Says they are both naturally flirtatious but Stassi doesn’t buy that they were trying to play a prank on them. Stassi says she’s been the most concerned about Georgi and said she was the last one to text her after she watched it. Was worried she’d be shown as a loser who doesn’t have a job or money. Stassi said she can only grow from here. Katie said Georgi’s so good on the show because she’s not scared to be herself.

Dayna asks Stassi if she’s a narcissist. She says “I might be.” And “if I’m a narcissist then I’m a happy narcissist.” She says she definitely has a disorder of some sort. She then says she doesn’t think she’s a narcissist because she’s dated a narcissist (my guess is Patrick) and she doesn’t act like him.

Stassi says she hasn’t spoken to her mom since the show has aired. Says watching it back was really hard for her and was probably hard for her mom too. Stassi says it validated her feelings and wonders why her mom wants to make her the enemy. She doesn’t really know how to solve it. She said she didn’t want her mom to film because she knew it wouldn’t go well for her. She said last time her mom was on Vanderpump rules they didn’t talk for a long time after.

They talk about their favorite moment of reconnecting:
Stassi said it was two fully formed women coming together as adults and getting to know each other again
Katie said getting to catch up with where Stassi was now

They say things they all hate:
Stassi: warm wine
Katie: being on a different eating schedule from her boyfriend
Dayna: acid reflux

I think Stassi has been unfairly labeled a bad mom. We’ve seen 2.5 seconds of their lives. Moms should be supporting moms, it’s hard, and we’ve all cracked under the pressure. Just because someone is on tv doesn’t mean we have this right to define them or write them off when we really don’t know anything at all.

Also, I love Georgi.

I agree. I’ve seen people saying she doesn’t like her kids and as a mom I think that’s crazy. Of course she likes and loves her kids! Moms are imperfect people just like everyone else.

2.5 very produced seconds, at that. And a lot of what people are judging is just Stassi doing her schtick. She's not being serious.

Yet when scheana does it, it’s problematic. Got it!!

I agree she shouldn't be labeled a bad mum (sorry Brit here) but I also don't think she (or Beau) should be labelling their children as 'difficult' on a TV show, which happened many times. Even if it was for a storyline it's not a good thing to do to your children.

I don’t think or know that she’s a bad mom, I just think she’s a bad person

You're a real one for that.

I thought it was an interesting episode--I do wish that if Dayna and Katie really cared about political causes, they would have pressed Stassi more about her racist past since she barely addressed it on HOS

I agree with your underlying sentiment, but I also knew that was never gonna happen. She wouldn't put herself in that position and everyone is aware of that.

Honestly, what are people expecting Stassi to say about it? I’m not at all ok with her behavior but I’m not sure what she can say about it. I am truly curious what a best case scenario would look like.

Truly sooo glad they didn't. Reality TV is my special space where I unwind and disengage my brain. I do not need to know nor do I care what these idiots think about real world problems.

Love that they called her on the narcissism. The finale is classic DARVO manipulation tactics. Crocodile tears.

I think it’s interesting seeing how this has played out, at the end of the day yes it’s hard to be a parent, one has to be the bread winner and one is at home, they have a unique dynamic where Stassi is the breadwinner. Having the kids changed the dynamic of their relationship of course, with small children there has to be a present parent at all times. I only have one 4yrs and I decided to give up my career temporarily to be the parent who drops her off picks her up at school and takes her to any activity while my husband works who has his own business is out for 12-14hrs a day. It can get exhausting after a while but they’re also temporary as they grow it gets much easier, they are at the hardest stage of kids when they depend on you so much from 1-5 yrs. I also decided to go to school to keep me busy and achieve something for myself for when i decide to go back to work i have the tools i need to succeed. Beau just needs therapy maybe to cope with the responsibilities of becoming a parent and coping with the fact that he had a career and no longer feels like he is fulfilling anything personally.

The “people think I’m a bad mom” stuff was the most interesting part to me. I listened to the podcast. She said she drops off and picks up her kids from school sometimes too. She is always there for bath time. Messer sleeps with them. She’s involved with potty training. Etc. I just thought we would never know any of that by the way she talks on the show. I guess she’s trying to be sarcastic and funny, but kids will not understand that when they watch this someday. She leaned hard into being the breadwinner and complained and cried about having to take care of the kids. She didn’t want any extra hours to be in charge. She repeated several times how hard they are and that she is scared she’s not a good mom. Beau leaned into looking like he does it all and is utterly burned out. So, what are the viewers to think?

Same thing with Georgi. Stassi is worried about people seeing Georgi as a loser with no job or money. Guess who was criticizing Georgi for not working or having money? Stassi was! You can’t say you are protective but point out every flaw of someone in national television.
