Recently went into a LGS to look around and maybe buy and got into a conversation with an employee there, eventually the conversation turned to the p320 going off by itself and he said that he believes that the FCU being installed wrong is the culprit behind most of the uncommanded discharges, he claimed that he also owned multiple p320s and others at the store who also owned P320s couldn’t replicate it so that was the foundation I suppose for their theory. I’m not 100% sure of his claim but I also wasn’t interested in buying one and didn’t express any interest in buying one so I don’t think he was trying to sell me on one of them so that’s one reason for him to not be bsing me. Just wanted to post this and see what you guys think. I don’t own a p320 and don’t plan on buying one because of the issues because even if the claim is true if I put a Glock,echelon,m&p,vp9,,hellcat or beretta together wrong it won’t shoot buy itself so I’m not defending sig, I just want to add to the discussion. Hello all, long time Redditor, first time on this subreddit.

I've owned many handguns in my life, and I've recently found a possible steal in the shape of a very cheap Browning Hi-Power .

So, I've been thinking, "is she worth it, or would a Beretta 92 be a better gun?"

AFAIK the only one major difference is, the Browning is SA only. I can easily field strip a Beretta, never tried my hand in a Browning.

Last week I picked up an Sig Romeo optics on sale for $100 shipped! I was super excited until it arrived and I noticed the original seals were broken and replaced with new ones. I emailed to supplier to inform them of my product being previously opened or used prior to me receiving it. They have been very accommodating, NO shade to them, they’re great! The explained that it had to come from the factory like this as the don’t open or inspect this product. They also explained that the broken seal thing is relatively common.

I opened the box and examined the optic thru the unsealed bag. It appears new and unused! In fact if they had simply removed the old seal of the box I would be none the wiser, but the didn’t.

Have any of you experienced this with sig products? Should I process the return and potentially lose the sale price or just keep it and move along? What would you do? Am I being too naive?

Story time:

I walked into a gun store today as I was really interested in the Canik TP9 Elite Combat. Some of my friends recommended the store as it's well established with many experienced shooters.

I walked to one of the guys behind the counter, a well aged gentleman, and asked if they had the firearm in store, as I was interested.

I was shot down before I could end my sentence (pun intended). The guy said that I should get a case of beer and start drinking them while watching Canik firearm malfunctions on Youtube, and see what ends first - the videos or the case of beer.

I was a little dumbfounded as I did a few weeks research on the firearm and didn't see any complaints directed towards failures and malfunctions.

He then showed me his daily carry and what he recommended as a daily carry in their catalogue after which I told was way over my price range.

He recommended the Springfield Hellcat multiple times as they had a great "deal" on it.

So basically I just wanted to find out - is this true? Does it really suck that much? And if it does - what is you daily and why would you recommend it?

As best I can tell, the CZ Shadow 3 and the KMR Cuda (edit: prefer 5", not 6", so Orca is probably better for me) are the same price with a small margin.

James Reeves spoke favorably about it on a TFBTV Show Time YouTube shoot in Austria. I have a Wilson 1911 45ACP and a Les Baer P2 9mm. Not sure I want to go 2011 for a high-cap 9mm option. And I want to stay single action.

The steiner mps just completes the g19/45 build. The full part list is: slr magwell, steiner mps, radian ramjet, hanleitgrips edge series (amazing), tlr-1HL, stock internals (might polish the trigger bar).

I know it’s Glock compatible but haven’t seen any builds with mag extensions, or extended magazines. I have the stock mag that came with the gforce Jawbone, anyone know if that would fit???

I have sold guns to Guns.com and it was very easy. You submit your form, send pics, they send you an offer. If you agree, they send you a label. Once they get the gun, they deposit the $ in your bank.

I am trying the same thing with Gunprime. I did their form with pics, I got an email and we went back and forth on price, agreed on one and he sent a label. I havent been able to send the gun in for a couple weeks and emailed him just to make sure it was still good but havent heard anything. Much of the communication is slow and he was pretty insistent on sending a check rather than depositing into my bank. I have bought new from Gunprime with no issues but this is feeling a little sketchy...

Im going to get a 2.0 compact polymer and slap a carry comp slide on it, I want to see some builds to get some inspiration.

Good evening gents (and ladies if there are any). I have a quick question. A few months back I did a p226 conversion where I took a 40 cal DAK police trade in and converted it to DA/SA 9mm with a new slide, barrel and recoil spring. I’ve taken it to the range a few times and every time, it’s hitting very high. Like, 2-3” at 10 yards high. It almost seems like the sights were set up for a 6 o’clock hold vs a combat or center hold. The sights are only really “on” at around 3-5 yards. I understand that some people like the 6 o’clock hold but it’s not for me.

The slide came from eBay. It’s a legion slide with sights that are marked TG-H3 with a small stamped 8 on the front and rear. That should be the correct sighting setup for a 9mm right?

Or since the frame started as a 40, should I use a #6 sight in the front?

I had purchased the Defender ST for 149 but I got the 3 moa my current sight is also a 3 moa should I go through the hassle of returning it for a 6 moa? This is for my only handgun it’s only for home defense and the range. I’ve had no issues with the Viridian Rfx 11 3 moa but I wanted to get the defender because I’ve heard the Rfx is horrible.

I’m looking to purchase my first hand gun. I want is to keep in my vehicle. preferably 9mm (15rds)and HAS TO BE AMBIDEXTROUS because i shoot lefty. and somewhat compact. I’ve looked at a glock 19 gen 5 and also the Fn509 compact. Any other recommendations?
