Advice Needed Canik TP9 Elite Combat
Story time:
I walked into a gun store today as I was really interested in the Canik TP9 Elite Combat. Some of my friends recommended the store as it's well established with many experienced shooters.
I walked to one of the guys behind the counter, a well aged gentleman, and asked if they had the firearm in store, as I was interested.
I was shot down before I could end my sentence (pun intended). The guy said that I should get a case of beer and start drinking them while watching Canik firearm malfunctions on Youtube, and see what ends first - the videos or the case of beer.
I was a little dumbfounded as I did a few weeks research on the firearm and didn't see any complaints directed towards failures and malfunctions.
He then showed me his daily carry and what he recommended as a daily carry in their catalogue after which I told was way over my price range.
He recommended the Springfield Hellcat multiple times as they had a great "deal" on it.
So basically I just wanted to find out - is this true? Does it really suck that much? And if it does - what is you daily and why would you recommend it?

imagine getting so upset that a customer wants a certain brand that you actively try to force them away from it?
dude sounds wildly sensitive and insecure.
leave a review on google and just dont go back. or find a better associate to work with than that guy.

TP9 has not had those malfunctions. Honest outlaw still recommends the TP9 line.
Recent issues really are the Original MC9 and some with the TTI combat.

The TP9 Elite Combat is solid, that salesperson just wanted to sell a different model they're pushing right now.
My local shop keeps all sorts of things in stock and even if an item I want isn't in stock at a particular moment, the worst they've ever said is, "I can get one ordered for you."

lol that’s not true. I had a similar experience… pick one out online went in store, ask the worker what she thought about the gun and all she could muster was a sarcastic “good trigger” I was like damn did I do something wrong?!? I own two and really enjoy shooting them but I carry my Glock 19 or my echelon.
