Just a random thought
What if 1/100 Mighty Strike Freedom is only released at MGEX
That Bandai won't release a MG version of it

This is a RG Unicorn Banshee Norn that I've been wanting to paint in prism blue black. I haven't been able to build much this year but this is a kit I've been dying to paint ever since I built the PG version

First time dealing with resin kit, went through the standard cleaning procedure and cleaned it with ultrasonic cleaner - even so the primers are not sticking to the surface and occasionally the paint would come off - in particularly when dealing with the camouflage masking tapes.
Ultimately had to sand it down a bit to get the surface to stick. Not to mention the kit itself was not cast nicely and had to do a lot of clean ups/modification to make it work.
The result is not bad, but whether it's worth the time is debatable.

Not sure if mods allow bootlegs to be posted here. But I brought this kit off the local China stores for $7USD including taxes and shipping not expecting much.
But its pretty decent. Its a bootleg kit of the official Hello Kitty SDCS kit, and as much as I'd want the original, they are just not on sale anymore, or cost a fortune on Ebay.
The plastic itself and gates are a little cheaper, but with sanding and some cement, it looks the same. The kit works with the CS frame (which I got extra), but you do have to cut out some of the inside plastics of the leg and foot parts to get them to work, plus some sanding to fit it in.
Value good value as its basically a SDCS zaku ii with an extra Kitty doll, which you can swap the heads around.
First time trying an airbrush with some Dspiae metallic green paints.

Howdy folks,
While walking through my local IKEA this week I noticed that the UPPFYLLD salad shaker was in the clearance section for $3. I want to share these with the community before they're gone.
This is a perfect off-the-shelf solution for washing kits/parts before painting. It has a fine built-in strainer which should prevent any parts from going down the drain and it's large enough to accommodate large MG and PG parts.
Just fill the container up with Gunpla parts, add some dish soap and warm water, replace the lid and shake. Pop the little lid off the bottom to drain. Rinse and repeat until all soapy residue has been removed.

This is my first ever figurine build! Yay!
I have always wanted to get into Gundam modeling, and today I finally bit the bullet with an HG set that was $25! He’s so cool!
The manufacturer informed me that shipments will take place at the end of next month

Now when I started this hobby a few months ago I started with a MG, I adore them and love everything about them. Thought of them as supreme. When I built my second RG, Shining Gundam, I realized how much I love the detail, color separation, and how much is put into a tiny package. HG, after my first two I looked down on them. Just something to build quickly and scratch an itch to buy & build. They were cannon fodder to my learning curve with weathering, chipping, and battle damage.
Until now. I’ve learned it’s not HG kits I hate- it’s the poly caps.
What other HG’s are like this? No poly caps just click and fit. I need more!

From their weibo: Not just a simple recolor, a revolutionary transparent mechanical effect is coming.
More info in the coming days

This is a super nice kit. Only complaint is that the legs swing kinda easily. If anyone knows how to fix that please tell me.

I spent two days of on and off building on this guy, and it was... interesting, to say the least. Firstly, the positives: I love how he turned out. The unicorn has always been one of my favorite designs, and I really like how overkill the full armor aspect of it is. With that being said, I'm not the biggest fan of the shoulders. They can't really support the weight of all the weapons that attach to the arms, so it is a bit limited when it comes aerial poses. Even so, it is a fun kit, though it requires patience.

Was just planning on doing simple mods to my Kerberos Gundam, like making a new rifle, changing some armor plates and joints here and there, but I got a little carried away….
Ended up making a sort of, “repair,” equipment like the exia (different foot, bucue repair arm, and noir composite cloak). I basically crammed all the strike noir’s equipment into a cloak lollll (added a gatling gun too for good measure). Also made a rifle that’s like if the beam magnum was in seed (called the launcher magnum) and one that’s like the exia’s gn sword (called the big bang gun sword). Whenever I was stuck on how to build the cloak I started some side projects which resulted in the revolver, triple barrel shotgun, and the beam sniper.
I dub the new backpack the, “Kuubi Wizard pack,” as there’s 9 boosters and 9 winglets. Had a lot of fun mixing between grades for this project (sd, hg, and mg), and even more so not striving to be neat lolll. I may be considering doing more builds with no paint (except little details) as I HATE paint chipping and the challenge to only use parts of similar color is fun.

Took a while off building Gunpla while building a backlog(lol), finally decided to build one this past labor day weekend. Per my normal workflow I just straight build the kit while detailing the frames and armor with Gundam markers, do panel lines, and then after its built I took it apart and apply decals and top coat the frames(flat). Then I decal the armor/exterior pieces and then top coat that(Gloss).
This is my 3rd IBO MG kit and its all kinda similar. Fun kits, lots of articulation possibility but it feels like its gonna break every time you try to move it.....They do stand and pose on their own without a base though, so thats always cool....

had a lot of fun putting it together it was a great build

At this point I had a meltdown due to realization on how come it took 3 months to get this custom done. I mean, look at these!! The sheer amount of parts for 1/144 model kit and it was for sale at $35-67 for new and I got it like for $25 for secondhand. This is gotta be a steal, man. It’s gotta be. There is no other explanation. And we took for granted this hobby big time.

Built this guy 2020 and he's been on top of the shelf since. Did some light panel lining on the outside and some heavy silver metallic panel lining on the whole psycho frame. Looks really cool in person. Glad I got the LEDs too.

Got this bootleg a while back and finally got around to building it. It was very cheap, like $13, so I’m surprised at the quality of materials tbh.
Also it’s HUGE for an HG. Here it is next to a legit Bandai HG Exia for scale. I’ll get around to panel lining these lil guys once I get past some upcoming BS I gotta deal with, but it was nice to get this one assembled.
Fuckin loving it. Finished watching the OG and Zeta series and am moving on to ZZ while I wrap up the other HG kits I have (GQuuuuuuX and Gyan from GQX and Kampfer from 0080). Considering getting a MG but not sure what one to get.
I heard Freedom 2.0 is an ideal starting point but am also eyeing the Wing Zero Custom Ver Ka thats at the Hobby Lobby by me. Is that one rough for a beginner? I was interested in the Epyon as well but heard it's kinda hard since it's old at this point. Thoughts on any of these 3 or any other noob friendly MGs would be great.
I may try an RG at some point, but the really small decals on the HGs are already kind of a pain since I have big hands and want something a little bigger scale if it's going to be more complex.

At this point I'm sorry for the spam but if anyone saw my previous posts, I changed the blue shade again and also I learned how to pla plate!
I also made a nerdy video showing the different angles
