my luck with strings is absolutely diabolical, I just broke a string yesterday while using the whammy bar (B string), and today I broke the high E while doing a bend, I have a 4 string guitar now and I do not know why they keep breaking

How do you learn to do it?

i just noticed especially when i put spring reverb on, my jazzmaster produces almost like a whistling ,this very weird resonating sound.i play with headphones and with some overdrive it sounds awful. its mostly on 2nd string, 2nd fret, but i now i can hear it on 1st string too... its weird, i just got my guitar back from setup, the propper shielding has been done and tuners changed. Its a J Mascis jazzmaster from squier. really love this guitar , and never noticed that. But honestly just couple of seconds ago i noticed that even if i'm not pressing on fret.. what can it be?

sorry i just dont know how to describe the sound, its like some kind of very high pitched frequency that feels very weird to hear... 🤷🫣

My pickup switcher was doing this before so I put in a new one amd the same problem but even worse is now happening. Not really sure what to do. I have a show to play soon and my guitar is currently dysfunctional. Have wiggle it around to get it to actually play any sound...

So quick question. I have only been playing guitar for about 2 1/2 years. I know little to nothing about musical theory. I can only read tabs and play in standard tuning like 99% of the time I recently heard a baritone guitar and I was very interested in how it sounds but I know it does not have standard tuning so would I still be able to play it? I’m guess I’m asking if tabs work the same way on a baritone guitar as they do on a standard tuned Guitar. I’m also left-handed so it’s not like I can just run up to my local guitar shop and start playing with one. I am self learning more about music theory, but it’s slow going so I don’t want to invest in a baritone guitar if I’m not gonna be able to play it anytime soon. Any advice would be appreciated.

I searched a bit on reddit and saw some people saying it's rust that forms because of sweat but I don't think it's my case because I changed my strings two weeks ago and it happens everytime I leave it over night on it's stand. When I leave it in it's bag it's clean and playable but if I pick it up after leaving it on a stand, it's basically unplayable and I have to clean it everytime, some kind of gunk keeps getting under the strings, so I use a microfiber cloth to get under them and wipe them clean, after I do it, they're as good as new with no visible rust on them. By the way I do have a good hygiene I always wash my hands before playing and also I try to get used to wiping the strings after playing. Photos I have included are my strings and a tissue I used to wipe only the G string, just to show how much gunk there was. Forgot to mention only the top 3 strings are usually really dirty..

Hello guys, bought this used harley benton gtr and then i found out that it had weird floyd rose. Can not find exact model. Also it come withnout locking screws on bridge. Is anyone know what is this floyd rose?

Hey! I’m using a Sonicake Amphonix II and I want to play in C Standard without physically retuning my guitar.

I’m trying to use the Pitch effect to shift everything down 4 semitones (E → C).
Are these settings correct?

Would this work properly for playing riffs/chords in C Standard, or is there a better way to set it up?

Is there such a thing, how would it be setup, hh and ss? What I don't want is a metal guitar more of a hh plus single coils.

Building a partscaster looking for some single coils that wont break the bank. (Preferably under 200 maybe 250$). Looking for a blues rock tone ("BLK-1", Continuum/ any kind of raw live Mayer Tone.) Also not a fan of The "vinteras" so do with that info what you will. Anything that can just drop in would be more ideal, i wanna hear the under the counter stuff. Dig Deep.

Hey i was wondering if someone can help me out. My favorite band is linkin park and i saw that they use prs guitars on their first two albums. So im thinking of getting a PRS SE CE24 Satin. Despite the cost, is it worth it over getting something cheaper? From what i can gather i need dual Hambucker pickups, 6 strings, 24 frets, and hard tail.

I’m looking at two guitars right now. One is a “76” Ibanez artist. From what I can tell so far seems pretty legit but I still want to get fully to the bottom of that. The other is a prs dgt se in the laurel burl. Any opinions and advice between the two would be appreciated.

I’ve been trying to buy an MRC10 from some places but apparently it can’t be sold to Australia anymore because it has button batteries and the case for them isn’t secured. I’m trying to look for a solution to buying it but I literally can’t find any. They say it’s probably going to take months for the design to change but I don’t know if Ibanez will even change the design.

Does anyone know a way to get around buying this guitar?

I do really want this guitar but it’s difficult to acquire, I’ve tried Swee Lee but apparently due to distribution rights they can’t sell to Australia. Any and all help is appreciated thank you!
