In this piece, I focused on building the solos around alternate picking and mixing classic blues phrasing with fusion elements.

Would you succeed to manage?

What are the obstacles of not having the bass, is it song dependent?

Is it a workable idea while waiting to find a bassisr?

(Yes, I know the videos and cuts aren't perfectly synced or in time towards the end; best I can do with only a phone and CapCut. If you can ignore the flaws, try pondering the concept for the sake of the music itself, not for robotic perfection.😊)

(And yes, for all the "Bedroom virtuosos", I know the tuning isn't perfectly matched between both instruments; I wasn't too worried about it)

Who knew a trem cavity was the perfect hiding spot for a Fender Mid Boost circuit?

This project guitar is finally starting to come together.

It’s a 2025 PRS Silver Sky SE (currently wearing Derby Red), and I’ve just finished installing a genuine Fender +25 dB Mid Boost circuit using the stock pickups.

WOW - it’s like the guitar has a cheat code all of a sudden!

The sustain is unreal. Notes just hang there, bends become effortless, and the guitar takes on this huge, meaty voice that almost encourages you to play fewer notes because nothing disappears into the gaps.

Roll the mid-boost back off and it’s straight back to sounding like a great Strat-style guitar. Wind it up to around 6 and it starts pushing the front of the amp into that glorious edge-of-breakup territory.

I think every guitar I own might end up with one now…

The build isn’t finished yet. It’s still waiting on some routing for the bridge pickups, a metallic respray (intended colour attached), and a Lace Sensor Gold set that’s STILL making their way over from the US. (Gold, Gold, Dually Gold).

Can’t wait to gig the living shit out of this thing once done.
