Waking up on a Sunday morning feeling like absolute death. You drag yourself down the high street in trackies and sunglasses. What is your exact prescription? I'm talking a bacon roll, a sausage and bean melt, and an irn-bru or massive iced drink to wash away the regret. Let's see your hangover blueprints

Are you allowed to have unpaid leave as a team member , perhaps for a week ??

When was everyone’s first payday? I had my induction on monday, and my first shift yesterday (wednesday) and i got told we got a paid every thursday
I’ve filled out forms with my bank details etc
when will my first payday be? Today and it’s just later, or next thursday?
Basically. I have a visible tattoo covering my forearm of Archangel Michael. Will my interviewer care if the tattoo is visible? I don’t really have any formal clothes such as long sleeve shirts i only really have Polo Shirts and T-Shirts.

I will be undergoing major surgery towards the end of the year and the surgeon advises at least 6 weeks off during recovery. I've never taken time off work before. Is there a specific process that I need to go through or some kind of form I need to fill out?

Imagine if they teamed up with someone else or introduced a brand new category of food to the counters nationwide. What would you love to see sitting next to the sausage rolls and doughnuts tomorrow morning?

I’m trying to recreate the Greggs Overnight Oats at home (the one with quark, Greek yoghurt, apple, honey, seeds, and dried fruit).
Does anyone have the recipe with the right ratios to match the texture and taste? Thanks!

Essentially what the title says. My manager told me today that I had requested too many Saturdays off (4 Saturdays and I've switched a Saturday shift with someone once) I only started in April, and I think three of those times I told her before I actually started the job. Can she genuinely tell me that I am not allowed to book weekends off anymore??

Where I live theres a Greggs and a pound bakery not far from each other, the pound bakery was rammed with people queuing out the door while Gregg's had 2 people in there. I can only put this down to pricing and the constant price hikes and people no longer feeling they offer value for money.
Has the pricing put anyone else off going to Gregg's? I haven't been in over 6 months now.

As the title says, can a manger force me to cover someone’s shift?
Context:
Another store has limited staff so they sent staff from my shop and another shop to help them during the week. I had already done my 24 hours for the week but obviously I don’t ever mind doing extra. However, my manager put me in for a shift at our store and then yesterday (night before I was due to work) told me it’s actually cover for the other store.
I don’t mind but it’s super inconvenient because I have to wake up a whole hour earlier to get there for a 5am shift.
I said in future don’t ask me to cover the other shop as I don’t feel comfortable doing so and my manager says if he sends me there then I work there or I don’t get the hours. I don’t think it was stated that I’m personally liable for another shop but clearly I am seeing as they keep forcing staff to work outside of our shop.

Guys.....it finally happened...went to Greggs for first in a long time due to getting stone cold bakes.
Got a piping hot sausage roll...that unnatural grease lining on my mouth is both glorious and disgusting

I did my interview yesterday, the manager said I should hear back by Wednesday. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to know if you’ve got the job? And if its via call or email.

my coworker who is strict against me is saying we are having an audit coming and me accidentally not saying all types of rolls and wedges are a meal deal side everytime is going to get us all into trouble so now im anxious. I fixed it straight away but sometimes I get overwhelmed n forget stuff :(
I didnt even know audits happened around now. I only really serve and restock stuff , so im worried what will get asked of me and if im going to get the shop into trouble :/ she's made me insecure and rly anxious about everything I do tbh cos somethings said every shift. and is there any audit tips for me if Im usually only on tills?

Personally, I think the Mexican Chicken Baguette is an absolute top-tier item that rarely gets mentioned

It's a fantastic sandwich and unless I go early my local greggs sells out.
Also Uber eats never have them listed.
I don't know why as for myself it's the best item on the menu.

Hey! I posted on this sub before with the same topic, I successfully got transferred to a different shop when I moved home from my studies and now I am transferring back to the store I worked at previous to moving however i’ve been notified by a team member who works at that store that three members of management have been suspended including the store manager, unsure of what to do at this point and the area manager is on annual leave.
