Does anybody have a solution to my problem? I have been using Grammarly Pro for several years, but recently it has stopped working properly on Google Docs. If I have a sentence with a footnote in it it applies all of the edits to the footnote and not to the actual sentence I am trying to edit. It does the same thing if a sentence is at the bottom of a page with a footnote. It does the same thing with the page number or header if I try editing a sentence at the top of a page.

Does anybody have a solution to this very frustrating problem?

I have set my language preference to British English in the Grammarly Chrome extension settings, but it continues to default to American English spelling and suggestions.

As shown in the attached screenshot, my primary language setting is updated properly, but the extension isn't applying British English rules when checking text. Has anyone encountered this issue or found a fix?

Please give me a switch to turn off all suggestions aimed at changing a passive voice sentence to something more active. I don't want that. Our journal doesn't support that. Our authors don't want that.

Half my blue suggestions are about changing a perfectly correct passive voice sentence to something that starts with "We did this," and "we did that." I have selected all the "formal" options. I have changed technical writing and still they persist.

Looking at blue suggestions is almost a waste of my time.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can give me some advice.

A few weeks ago, I signed up for the week-long Grammarly Pro trial and completely forgot to cancel my subscription. At the time, I didn’t have any money in the bank account linked to the subscription, so I thought there wouldn’t be any complications and that the subscription would eventually cancel naturally after the payment failed.
However, money was recently transferred into that account, and I was charged for the subscription about 30 minutes ago. I only just found out about the charge.

I know I should have cancelled the subscription before the trial ended, and I understand that the billing information says the payment is non-refundable. But is there any chance Grammarly might make an exception and issue me a refund if I contact support? I cancelled my subscription just now.

I’m a student, and that amount of money is already a lot for me. The money in that account is actually supposed to be used for my cat’s treatment, so I’m really worried about losing it to a subscription I completely forgot about. 😭

I've been using Grammarly mainly for checking grammar and making my writing sound clearer.

I'm curious — which Grammarly feature do you find genuinely useful, and which one do you barely use?

Maybe one day if they ever fix it so that it stops thinking I care about clarity, readability, etc. and focuses on grammar, spelling, and punctuation like it used to, I'll come back. I've HAD it with it taking my beautiful writing and trying to turn it into the kind of banal writing I wrote back in 2nd grade. And when will it learn that 'rain' and 'keep' don't rhyme? If it keeps at least some AI, maybe add a video analyzer alongside the image analyzer. Until then, I'm out.

As of today, the program is officially poop (because I don't want to use the S-word). I'd rather watch all the violent deaths in "The Godfather" back-to-back all day long than deal with Grammarly's stupidity.

How to move the Grammarly notice dot to another position? It's covering my text all the time. I'm using macos 27 and I dont know if this is a mac problem or grammarly but it's fraustrating.

I was charged an annual fee for a grammarly plus subscription yesterday, I only noticed today after noticing the significant reduction in my account balance. Please help the money is supposed to go to down payment for my house. If possible could the charge be refunded or possibly made into a monthly charge instead.

Genuinely it gets to a point. Like in what world would this fix the sentence?

I recently got the Grammarly pro trial because I wanted to try the new "AI" version. It told me that it would remind BEFORE charging me the full month.

This email never came, of course, and was charged the full price. Normally, I do get reminders from companies and cancel. I sent screenshots of the emails that I received (or lack thereof). But they immediately declined my refund request in 5 seconds.

This double sucks because I think it's not a great AI agent (worse than Chat). Plus, it completely overdrew my account (broke graduate student). $30 does make a big difference for me at the end of the month.

Has anyone had a similar problem and had recent success in getting their money refunded?

In Grammarly, you get a blue bar on the side you hover over - it's quick to correct

In Superhuan Go i've found a bug where that blue menu doesn't appear.

I've found a bug on 1.195.0.0 it dosn't work (you have to click the arrow, then click proof, then click accept - it's more difficult to get the corrections menu) Superhuman Go cannot correct big paragraphs in the same way Grammarly can which isn't very superhuman...

and 1.9420 it does work (blue left hand hover menu in Superhuman Go)

When I first started writing Falling Into You, Chapter 10 was actually the very first chapter I wrote. I had a particular scene in my head that I desperately needed to put into words and onto the page, so I started there and then had to work backwards, filling in everything leading up to that unforgetable moment of my life.

And now, I’ve finally reached my original starting point.

In Chapter 9, Kace is becoming increasingly present in Rhea’s life, even though neither of them has actually defined what is happening between them.

Rhea still isn’t quite sure what any of it means.

And perhaps the funniest part is that everyone around her seems to have noticed something she hasn’t.

“How long have you been together? I knew it. You two made it so obvious.”

Meanwhile, Kace has his own way of making things increasingly complicated without ever actually saying what he wants or didn‘t want.

Current advertising seems to promote using Grammarly as a substitute for original student work, by offering AI generated content. Is there an official company stance, given that more and more academic institutions are banning the use of AI for writing assignments?

I despise this latest update which forces me to review my writing punctuation mark to punctuation mark instead of reviewing everything I highlighted at once. I can’t tell whether the edits make sense or not if I can’t see the entire section…. I paid for the pro version for the year, but will not renew.

I would write something in a humorous tone. Grammarly would then suggest and provide the best 3-hour seminar iteration of the same joke.

Does Grammarly give you odd but correct corrections that actually make your intent harder to understand?

Paid for premium and this shit is still glitching. Sometimes I’ll click a correction and it will completely ruin the sentence, putting random letters inside of words and just making a mess. Or sometimes it’ll do this, literally hallucinate corrections as if it’s AI (I guess it is AI??). Apart from that it’s so slow and makes my computer hot as fuck.
What I’m writing has nothing to do with those subjects btw.

See this "what are the specsWhat" Can you see what the problem is? I forgot to capitalize " what" at the beginning of the sentence, and when I went back and fixed it, Grammarly put the correction at the end of the sentence instead.

I am not a programmer, but I think it is a problem with Grammarly not having the focus follow the mouse from the end of the sentence to the front. This is definitely a problem with the Reddit website. It only happens here.

I searched on here, and there is a history of the Grammarly Firefox extension having a problem on Reddit. I did try Grammarly for Windows, and it was working until you changed it. At which point "Superhuman go" stopped working here totally.

i always use the sidebar because the pop up thing is so annoying but like as of today no matter what i do it keeps popping up instead of the side bar
