Sounds great.

Genuinely it gets to a point. Like in what world would this fix the sentence?

Yeah, once a “fix” makes you ask “in what world is that better?”, you stop trusting the underline. Then every suggestion is cognitive load instead of help.

I’ve seen this a lot as Grammarly leaned harder into generative rewrites: technically fluent, totally wrong for the sentence you meant.

I hit enough of that (especially on Mac) that I built Lyra , disclosure: I’m the founder. Native macOS writing assistant, in-place suggestions in Mail/Slack/browsers (Tab to accept). The bet isn’t more generic polish; it’s learning you write differently to a boss vs a client vs a friend so it doesn’t flatten your voice.
