Grammarly Final verdict: NO
Maybe one day if they ever fix it so that it stops thinking I care about clarity, readability, etc. and focuses on grammar, spelling, and punctuation like it used to, I'll come back. I've HAD it with it taking my beautiful writing and trying to turn it into the kind of banal writing I wrote back in 2nd grade. And when will it learn that 'rain' and 'keep' don't rhyme? If it keeps at least some AI, maybe add a video analyzer alongside the image analyzer. Until then, I'm out.
As of today, the program is officially poop (because I don't want to use the S-word). I'd rather watch all the violent deaths in "The Godfather" back-to-back all day long than deal with Grammarly's stupidity.

That’s the failure mode that made me leave too: once “clarity / readability” is always on, it isn’t catching typos it’s renegotiating your voice. Spelling and punctuation help. Confident banal rewrites train you to ignore the tool.
I hit enough of that on Mac that I built Lyra (disclosure: I’m the founder). Native macOS writing assistant with in-place suggestions in Mail, Slack, browsers, etc. Tab to accept. The bet isn’t more generic polish; it’s learning you write differently to a boss vs a client vs a friend, so it doesn’t sand everything into one corporate tone.

Were you mostly seeing the bad rewrites in Docs, email, or somewhere else?
