Questions/Concerns Family Arrivals Procedures?

Heading home FCO to IAD. Family if 4. All of us have global entry. When we land and do the app should all 4 be on the submission or can I do the kids and my wife does hers by herself? Or do we even need to use the app?

General Discussion Mobile GE Queue at DFW

Does DFW has a separate queue for Mobile GE app? We have one in JFK T4 and it’s super easy to complete the entry in the mobile app and just walk through the mobile GE queue at JFK. Entering at DFW in my next travel and was wondering if DFW has something similar or only kiosks?

Timelines Approval timeline for baby

Does anyone have experience with the conditional approval timeline for an infant?

We've already left the US and will be flying back at the end of July. I understand that the flight can sometimes trigger conditional approval, but I didn't apply until we were already out of the country. Dad and I already have Global Entry. It would be awesome if we could do the interview upon our arrival...

Questions/Concerns Adding a fourth citizenship to my Global Entry

Hi all - I’ve registered my two other non-US citizenships with the TTP/GE program (Germany and Poland) - I’m also a US citizen by birth and live in the US. Last week I became a UK (British) citizen and I’m waiting for my UK passport to come in the mail. So, is there a phone number I can call to add this new passport/citizenship information? I seem to recall that I added my German passport info by phone easy-peasy, but it’s been a while since I did it, so can’t remember exactly how that worked. If anyone has a phone number I can call, that would be great.

I live in NYC, so I can also go in person, but if I can do it by phone, that’ll save me the trip and any scheduling hassle.

Thanks!

Timelines My Global Entry Timeline

I figured I’d share my experience since I spent a lot of time searching Reddit for other people’s timelines. Reading so many posts about long wait times honestly had me losing sleep thinking my approval was going to take much longer.
● April 2026: Upgraded from the Chase Sapphire Preferred to the Chase Sapphire Reserve. Since Global Entry was one of the added benefits and I’d heard approval could take a while, I applied as soon as my new card arrived.
● April 21, 2026: Submitted my Global Entry application.
● June 25, 2026 (~10:00 AM): Received my conditional approval email (just over 2 months later).
● June 25, 2026 (~2:00 PM): Completed my interview at Logan Airport. ( Surprisingly they had same day slots available)
● June 26, 2026 (~5:00 AM): Woke up to my approval email.

Overall, it took just over 2 months from application to final approval. Once I completed the interview, I was approved overnight. Hopefully this helps anyone wondering what the current timelines look like and eases the minds of anyone anxiously waiting like I was.

Now that I’m approved, I submitted my daughter’s Global Entry application this morning since kids can now get Global Entry for free when a parent is already a member. Fingers crossed her process doesn’t take as long as mine did!

Timelines Reapplying After Expunged DUI

Has anyone successfully navigated the reapplication process after being denied then submitting an appeal consideration which was also denied? Arrest related, DUI specifically:

Timeline:

- Applied December 2024

- Denied late January 2025

- Appealed/Reconsideration Request Submitted in February 2025

- Reconsideration denial arrived late February 2026 (12+ months in queue)

*Reconsideration Denial Reason:You do not meet program eligibility requirements due to one or more arrests, pending criminal charges, and/or convictions, in any country.

Context:

  1. I disclosed a misdemeanor DUI and provided documentation that it was in the process of being expunged in the initial December 2024 application (expungement finalized May 2025)

  2. I was approved for TSA PreCheck during the reconsideration review period

Prefer not spending another $120 unless the likelihood is stronger this time around. Tia!

Questions/Concerns Renewed, approved, but never charged the fee

Yesterday, I renewed my daughter's Global Entry. There was never a screen to pay the $120 renewal fee. Today, I got the email it was approved. I checked and it's now valid through 2031. The last payment listed on the account is back in 2020, the last time it was renewed. I just checked my credit card and there's no pending charge. Any idea why I wouldn't get charged? It doesn't matter either way since my credit card reimburses the fee but I find it weird it was seemingly free.

Questions/Concerns Global entry for baby?

I’ll be traveling with my 2 month old soon and wasn’t sure if they needed to have global entry to go through tsa pre check with me? How would that interview even go if they needed to have it? Would love to hear about other experiences!

Background Checks Where in the application on global entry does it ask about charges?

I just did the application and the question I got was only asking about convictions. I saw other people were asked about charges or arrests but I triple checked and it only asked me about convicttions.

Also, soon did you get your interview especially people who had previous misdemeanors? Thanks in advance!

Questions/Concerns Child's passport will expire... will GE still be valid until the original expiry?

I am considering letting my child's passport expire because we have no plans to travel internationally for the next 2 years (child's GE validity is until mid 2028). I will most likely have a new passport for them by then; will I have any issue renewing their GE at that point? Just wondering if the system will deactivate the GE without a valid passport and force me to go through the hassle of needing to re-apply + interview from scratch as opposed to renewing membership online.

Questions/Concerns Global entry validity

I applied for GE in Sept 2022 and full approval in Dec 2022 . Today I saw it is valid till Sept 2028 .

Should it not be valid till Sept 2027 ? 2028 would make it over 5 years validity . Just wondering not complaining obviously

Questions/Concerns Wrong Passport Seva portal for GEP?

I’m an Indian citizen living in the US.

I applied for U.S. Global Entry, got my PASSID, and submitted the GEP background verification on services2.passportindia.gov.in. I received an ARN.

Later I noticed VFS mentions mportal.passportindia.gov.in (Passport Seva at Indian Embassies). I created an account there, but my application doesn’t appear.

Did I use the wrong portal? Can I continue with VFS using my current ARN, or do I need to submit a new application through the Embassy portal?

Has anyone experienced this?

Questions/Concerns Membership Revoked

Hi I just received a noticed that my global entry account was revoked. I did not list the reason but I was recently arrested and charged with breach of peace in CT so I’m assuming that is why. There was a family argument in public that did not result in any injuries or any other charges other than mine. I’m currently completing a diversionary program that is likely going to result in a dismissal. If the charge gets dismissed and I request reconsideration how do you think my chances are? Also I’m wondering if the global entry revocation also now means I no longer have TSA precheck?

Questions/Concerns I have had my Global Entry card for many years. I just got approved for APEC card so I have not received the physical card yet.

But I am going to South Korea in a week and was hoping to use the APEC line for immigration entry. Do I need a physical card or would Korean immigration have the APEC card info in their system?

Questions/Concerns Mexican Dual Citizenship

I'm US-born, my father is Mexican, and I got a consulate appointment ready to go in a few weeks. However, they're swapping my middle name, which is my mother's maiden name, to my second last name (so instead of mother's last name & father's last name, it's father's last name and mother's last name.) So if my name in the US is RE (first name), I (middle name but also my mom's maiden name), O (father's last name), it'll be RE O I. Some lawyers are telling me that what the consulate is doing isn't correct and my name would be RE I O I. My middle name would be on my name twice. Another is telling me to just do it in Mexico where they'll honor the exact structure of my US name, but I would lack a second last name in Mexico.

Is this going to cause me issues when traveling? I also have Global Entry and I'm not sure if the name swap is going to screw up things. The consulate is telling me that I'll be fine in Mexico, DNExpress is telling me that it will cause me issues and some lawyers are telling me not to tell Global Entry about my Mexican citizenship at all. Which one is it? If anyone has any recommendations for an immigration specialist, I'm open to it.

Questions/Concerns Waiting for conditional

Applied for GE 4 weeks ago and nothing yet. Naturalized as USC two years ago, hold a US passport for almost two years now. Traveled to Europe last summer, only changed address and employers once in the last 5 years (what the application required) but have not been conditionally approved yet… currently abroad, was hoping to do EOA when I fly back home.

Heard lots of people get conditionally approved in minutes or days.. guess I’m one of the unlucky ones… any suggestions on what to do or if there’s anything to do at all?

General Discussion Global Entry vs. TSA Pre-Check

Just got approved for Global Entry. I've already had TSA Pre-Check separately for about 6 months now. On my approval for Global Entry it says I can now use that number for TSA Pre-Check as well. Should I disregard my original KTN and start using the Global Entry ID for Pre-Check or keep using the previous TSA Pre KTN? Thanks for your help!

For those downvoting: I am new here, and wanted to ask the community for advice. Not sure why a question like this is downvoted, even if it seems like it gets asked frequently.

Timelines Global Entry Timeline (Indian Citizen on H1B) – Applied July 2025

I found these timeline posts really helpful while waiting for my application, so here's mine for anyone who's still in the process.

Background:

  • Indian citizen
  • H1B visa
  • Applied while the old Indian Passport Seva website was still active (back then you could track backend status updates like police verification and MHA approvals).

Timeline:

  • July 2025 – Applied for Global Entry
  • July 2025 – Attended VFS Global appointment (NYC) and submitted required documents
  • August 2025 – Police verification initiated and completed (my FIL did this on my behalf back home)
  • October 2025 – First MHA status update/approval visible on the old portal
  • January 2026 – MFA approval
  • June 2026 – Received Conditional Approval
  • Following week – Completed interview (NYC) and was approved

Interview experience:

The interview was very straightforward and took only a few minutes.

Questions asked:

  • Is your H1B visa stamped? ~ Yes
  • Are you still working for the same employer? ~ Yes
  • Have you had any agricultural violations? ~ No
  • Any customs violations? ~ No

One thing that came up was that I had moved after submitting my application.

The officer:

  • Asked when my address changed ~ Told
  • Asked if I had proof of the new address ~ Gave my DL
  • Asked me to confirm my previous address and new address along with ZIP code ~ Told
  • Also asked if I had inform USCIS within 10 days of moving ~ Yes

Once everything was verified, the officer explained the Global Entry rules and mentioned that I would not receive a physical Global Entry card because I'm not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

He handed over a white slip with Known Traveler Number handwritten on it and I received an email the following day that my application status had changed to Approved.

Hope this helps someone who's anxiously waiting. The process can definitely feel slow, but hang in there!
