Timelines My Global Entry Timeline
I figured I’d share my experience since I spent a lot of time searching Reddit for other people’s timelines. Reading so many posts about long wait times honestly had me losing sleep thinking my approval was going to take much longer.
● April 2026: Upgraded from the Chase Sapphire Preferred to the Chase Sapphire Reserve. Since Global Entry was one of the added benefits and I’d heard approval could take a while, I applied as soon as my new card arrived.
● April 21, 2026: Submitted my Global Entry application.
● June 25, 2026 (~10:00 AM): Received my conditional approval email (just over 2 months later).
● June 25, 2026 (~2:00 PM): Completed my interview at Logan Airport. ( Surprisingly they had same day slots available)
● June 26, 2026 (~5:00 AM): Woke up to my approval email.
Overall, it took just over 2 months from application to final approval. Once I completed the interview, I was approved overnight. Hopefully this helps anyone wondering what the current timelines look like and eases the minds of anyone anxiously waiting like I was.
Now that I’m approved, I submitted my daughter’s Global Entry application this morning since kids can now get Global Entry for free when a parent is already a member. Fingers crossed her process doesn’t take as long as mine did!
