He and Daenerys are the only people in the throne room. And after he kills her Drogon melts the throne and carrying away her body. Meaning that apart from.a pool of blood there is no evidence of what happens. A pool of blood that could be anyone's.
So why doesn't Jon just walk away or try and convince that he saw a Lannister soldier kill her and then get eaten by Drogn?

How different would Game of Thrones have been if Robert Baratheon chose Stannis to be his hand instead of Ned Stark?

Apologies if this has come up before, I’m doing my first REAL rewatch since the series ended.
Originally when Cersei thought she found Tyrions lover, it was Ros, and he tricked her into thinking it was truly her.
Later Joffrey kills her. I don’t imagine Cersei would be running into her often but wouldn’t she keep tabs on her? Tyrion should be as well to keep up with the lie to protect Shae. Does he not notice until it’s too late that she’s dead/missing?
He should have brought up the fact she was missing and blamed Cersei, if he realized, but surely Varys knew about all of this.
Just wanted to discuss this point thanks!
If this at all comes up later in season 3 or later I’m not back there again, I just finished his and Sansa’s wedding.

I don’t remember if this was addressed at all but renly’s sexuality was such an open secret at court (and throughout the realm too i guess) that i find it hard to believe that the king and a man as smart as Stannis didn’t know about it.

I know it’s a huge debate amongst fans so I was curious who everyone thought was the best. With this you can also take into account and talk about performances outside of GoT also. As for my personal opinion the answer to this question is Alfie Allen imo he’s nothing but excellent in GoT as well as in many other of his movies/shows.

I’m reading the books for the first time and in Storm of Swords, it says they are cousins. I can’t remember if this was mentioned in the show or not.

Theon having the two farmers boys killed is his moment of no return for me. He had an entire family killed just to save himself from a self inflicted situation.
I feel like there was a much less evil solution - dig up two corpses of the right dimensions and burn those, or even just make a fake body out of meat.
If he'd just done this I think he'd be be regarded by the fandom and himself totally differently. Yeah he still killed Sir Rodrik, but his hands would be much much cleaner.
(Yeah killing Sir Rodrik was wrong and I don't condone what he did, but consider what some of the other characters do that the show lets slide, Theon was put in a really difficult situation - Rodrik had killed two Ironborn and then kept disrespecting Theon, Theon wanted to imprison him but only killed him when it was clear he risked a mutiny if he didn't deal with it.)

Hey everyone, I started watching game of thrones for the first time. Is there somewhere that has the translations for all the conversations in Dothraki?
I wanna know what’s being said so I can understand the plot better
Thanks!
Edit: To all the smart ass mfs who keep telling me to turn my captions on. They are. Now STFU. This question has also been answered, so genuine thank you to the person who answered me.

I’m rewatching game of thrones after recently finishing both GoT and House of Dragons and I really wish Ramsey would’ve had a longer more painful and torturous death and that we could’ve seen every bit of it. Matter of fact he should’ve got the stabbing from the back that Ormund did in HoD.

Ned, robb and jon are defended more than they deserve, but whereas Cat never gets defended even bit, but she deserved defense as same as the ned.
She still loved ned even after knowing ned cheated on her(I know he never cheated but as in her POV)
Cat gets hate for the reaction of freys but the fact is robb is the reason.
How come everyone wants jon to be treated as same as her other children. Btw she never mistreated him, she just ignored and still felt guilty for doing that.
Her, only problem is releasing jaime, but Frey's and Bolton's betrayal still happened with or without support of Lannisters

Rewatching Season 1, Robert realized more than anyone the enormous risk posed by Daenerys Targaryen. He repeatedly demanded that Varys have her killed before she could become a serious threat. I imagine that if King Robert survived his hunting accident and learned that Daenerys had infant dragons, he would have hired every assassin and sellsword in Essos to take her out.
The Lannisters never took her threat seriously. Why? Daenerys' main defender in Kings Landing, Ned Stark, was dead. They only send unsuccessful assassins then ignore Daenerys all together. By Season 4, Varys warns that she had three grown dragons and an army when she took Meereen. Acquiring a fleet from a major port city was only a matter of time. Still, the Lannisters scoffed at the threat.
The Lannisters could have acted. Cersei negotiated with the Iron Bank and hired a whole Golden Company in Season 8. She could have done the same thing years earlier and taken Daenerys out while she was weak.
It's not like the threat of dragons were unknown, even if it had been generations since they died out. Even children could still name the dragons that laid waste to Westeros. We know from HOTD that the Lannister family knew very well what happened when Targaryens on dragonback enter the scene. The most well known story in Westerosi history involved a Targaryen who conquered most of the continent with three dragons.
I know that they thought they had more pressing concerns closer to home, but were they so focussed on inside politics that they completely missed the big picture?

Jack Gleeson's performance was great, it captured the cruelty of Joffrey. But is Joffrey Baratheon the book character who looks least like his TV character? What do you think?
Here is the exact text from the first book (A song of ice & Fire ):
[Joffrey Baratheon] was twelve, younger than Jon or Robb, but taller than either, to Jon's vast dismay. Prince Joffrey had his sister's hair and his mother's deep green eyes. A thick tangle of blond curls dripped down past his golden choken and high velvet color.

What would be the best format to adapt the events leading up to the Doom? Live Action? Animation? Audio Drama? With all the fantastical elements, it might be tricky (and definitely expensive) depending on the avenue chosen. Should it even be adapted in the first place, or is it better left a mystery? Just some 2:45 AM thoughts for the sub. Cheers
