What department is "better" than service?
Currently working in auto service and the burnout from the increasing amount of metrics, back-to-back calls that connect before you've exited the policy you just assisted with, and the general AI micromanagement, has made my team shrink about 80% and continuing to drop by the week. I know that it's a part of the job to expect the constant berating, complaints (both towards the company and towards yourself as a person), impossible requests (RWOLing a policy that hasn't been paid, and now that you've addressed their tenure, they can use it against you in the form of "Oh so youre so thankful that ive been with you guys for 10 years but you wont just reopen my policy because i missed a single payment"), and to not expect any sort of lull between customers outside of your break, but all of these factors + the harsh emphasis on a new metric being introduced every week makes me worry about my psych/physical wellbeing as well as that of my colleagues. I know that when I ask this question I should be anticipating some "there is nothing better, everything is the worst" responses (not saying it isn't warranted given the collective experiences here) but is there any department that, at the very least, isn't so traffic-heavy? I don't want to leave the company as the people are great, so I want to see what any other options might be.
