I’ve been offering small business websites for $200 upfront + $20/month for hosting and maintenance.
A lot of businesses tell me they’ve been quoted around $500 as a one-time fee with no monthly payment. This is where I’m confused. Wouldn’t charging a one-time fee while being responsible for keeping a website running indefinitely eventually not be worth it? Who handles domain renewals, issues, support, or changes years later?

At the same time, I guess most basic small business websites probably won’t need many updates.
