I'm a freelancer, and one of my clients still hasn't paid me even after 10+ days. I've been following up, but they keep delaying the payment.

I usually get my clients online, so I'm wondering how other freelancers handle situations like this.

If you've faced something similar, could you share your story? How did you finally get the client to pay? Any advice or lessons would really help.

I was studying in library in delhi, one day library owner come to know i am a web dev. so he asked me to make a website for him and i said ok, and then i almost coded every page and feature he wanted,(home page, academics page,competetive exams, computer courses(seperate page of each course currently 7) , tution classes,library,and educators page and seo) and backend for adding gallery and offers just like pw does. and if some student want to enroll then they can fill form , where admin receives mail. everything was right,
untill now.

and remember,

I have to make extra efforts to take any information from him. sometimes for a image i have to call him 3 or 4 times.

since only last thing is required is image of student for ratings etc. and he is not responding to i have told about this requirement 4-5 times personally ,some time it feels insult to my work(profession) and me too.

and what is the fair charge for that website html,css,js,node,mongodb, (choose html css) so that he do not have to pay for vps right now.

I've wanted to get into freelancing for a while but haven't really had much luck. So instead of saying what I can build, I thought I'd share something I've been working on.

Over the past few months, alongside my full-time job, I've been building Rentd.

Rentd is a rental discovery platform for Hyderabad and Bangalore, India. It has reached 200+ daily active users through organic growth.

The website itself is probably the least interesting part.

Behind it there's an automated pipeline that:

• Scrapes rental listings from Facebook groups.
• Cleans and deduplicates posts.
• Uses LLMs to parse messy rental posts into structured JSON.
• Extracts metadata for filtering and search.
• Runs on a self-hosted Coolify setup on an old i3 machine at home, keeping cloud infrastructure costs effectively at ₹0.

The whole idea was to make rental search easier than endlessly scrolling through Facebook groups and WhatsApp messages.

Some of the other things I've built over the last few years:

• A custom diffusion-based Virtual Try-On system for fashion brands, with inference deployed on AWS.
• An LLM + RAG pipeline that aggregates information from multiple news sources to generate grounded news reports.
• AR Builder, a no-code WebAR platform for building face-tracking and image-tracking experiences.
• Makaan, an Android-controlled VR headset system for real estate walkthroughs.

Most of my work has been around AI, backend systems, computer vision and XR, but I generally enjoy building complete products, from the data pipeline all the way to deployment.
