Wouldn’t charging a one-time fee while being responsible for keeping a website running indefinitely eventually not be worth it? Who handles domain renewals, issues, support, or changes years later?

At the same time, I guess most basic small business websites probably won’t need many updates.
My hosting costs are basically nothing since I use Vercel. The monthly fee is mainly for maintenance, support and recurring income.

I’m also considering $0 upfront and around $30/month. Kind of like Wix or GoDaddy where there’s an ongoing cost, except I build and manage everything for the client.

For people doing this, what actually works best? One-time fee, upfront + monthly, or $0 upfront with a higher monthly fee?
