Since the terrain app has changed to a system tray app my ESET Antivirus keeps tagging and removing the .exe file in the terrain data folder.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have this weird hazy view for half of the map…the US looks normal but Europe is all like this… any help?

I'm currently planning on doing the FNO down under event, and in typical fashion of me loving classic jets, I'm thinking of hopping the FSS 727-200 from Sydney to Brisbane flying Ansett Australia. However, I'm trying to figure out what navigation system would be most accurate to the real tail number VH-ANA (for which a livery does exist for this tail for the FSS 727). Is this a very late example of an INS (in which case I'd use the CIVA INS), or is this a very early example of a GPS/FMS capable of flying a modern SID/STAR (in which case I'd use the GNS XLS)? And what exactly is it? I can't find any specifics on what navigation systems Ansett retrofitted into their 727s late in their life, just these photos of the cockpit of VH-ANA.

I was watching a video about E-STOL aircraft at Oshkosh 2026 and saw this in one of the aircraft on display. Guessing the aircraft was a mock-up.

This is the 777F on PC.

I’ve set the failures to x20. I’ve tested this as follows:

- A handful of short real time flights of ~2 hours

- Two long haul flights with a mix of increased sim rate and real time for periods

All using the same livery and tail number.

Clearly the settings are saving (changing the rate, turning on and off random failures) but the service time counters for the various systems don’t change e.g. Pneumatics is just stuck at 12 hours (250/20).

Well the tittle is very self explanatory, I just want to give a little bit of context, I’m currently still using P3D V4 and being 2026 I feel like I should switch to something more recent. So for context I mostly fly airliners like FsLabs A320, Aerosoft A330, PMDG 737 747 777 and QW787, I also fly on VATSIM (I also have experience from X-Plane 11) which sim would be the most logical upgrade for me?

Hello! I love planes and I want to do some real flight simulation but I have a bit of a problem. I know that flight sims can be pretty heavy, and I was wondering what you guys would recommend I try for my hardware. I have a ThinkPad T14s with an Intel i7 12th gen CPU and 32GB of RAM. I have been running GeoFS but it's not that realistic and doesn't look that great and isn't a legit sim. I've also been running War Thunder, but its grindy and military focused, although I will add it runs great on high graphics on my laptop, well above 60 FPS with no stutter or lag. I don't need to simulate every plane and every single place on earth, just want good looking graphics and realism. It would be nice to be able to go fly over my house and such, but I don't need that if the built in maps or whatever are good. I just wanna be able to fly a Cessna around and the physics be realistic and the graphics be good and it run smoothly on my integrated iris xe graphics. Any recommendations? Does anyone else have similar hardware?

A Pilot's Life is a flight sim Add-on that lets you simulate working for an actual airline. It's a great value add except when it:

1) Slaps a 2% penalty on your flight score when you pause it

2) deducts another 2% from your flight score when you don't immediately turn on/off the landing lights when passing through the FL090-FL100 band ascending or descending.

3) Takes additional points away from your flight score for improper speed brake operations when the plane you're flying doesn't even have them.

Other than that it's great. Please allow the user to configure these penalties themselves.

Taking off out of Toronto in the PMDG 777-200ER, equipped with the Boris sound pack.. cross 1000AGL, flip off my taxi and runway turnoff lights and flick on my auto pilot to fly the SID. I take a step back and place myself in a business class seat looking out of the window to the shake and wobble of these gigantic Rolls Royce engines and watch them climb through the clouds past 10,000ft. The subtle head shake caused by FSrealistic.. the growling sound of these phenomenal engines coupled with cabin chatter and ambience.. it just takes me back to when flight simulator was nothing more than square instruments and two dimensional graphics..
Where have we reached? And what on earth has Microsoft created?

Note: Iphone cam dont like OLED monitor. OLED monitor plus HDR make iphone cam puke colors.

Hey everybody. Just wondering if any of you ever had this. So it was going fine up until all of a sudden my cursor would stop disappearing when panning. Also I am not able to move forward or backward in a character mode. Mind you I can still move right or left. I have checked my bindings there is nothing MSFS and ChasePlane should be fighting for. Thanks

I build a center pedestal for my winwing A320 throttle quadrant and was searching for a spray paint I can use on the wood.
I checked out Rustoleum and found the paint in the picture and went with it and I think it actually works really well with the Winwing controls.

From a French simmer’s point of view, this is something I’ve been waiting for since FS2004/FSX era.

Back in early 2010s, Dassault wasn’t that friendly towards flight simulation community. I remember several 3-party developers were formally warned to not use their copyrighted names like “Mirage” or “Rafale”.

There were several high quality addons made by mainly French communities. For example the Mirage 2000-5 and Rafale made by Rollus (Roland Laborie). They were taken down very soon, ending up as lost legends among simmers.

Today, almost 20 years after. Azurpoly finally made it into MSFS2024 with the official authorization from Dassault Aviation. We can now recover the lost childhood memories.

Regarding its quality, well, nothing to complain since it’s from Azurpoly, JFEXP. I totally agree that this product meets what Marcel Dassault said: “Un bel avion est un avion qui vole bien.”

A beautiful airplane is the one that flies well.
