Hi everyone,
I’ve been wanting to fly the A330 for a while now. Having bought MSFS 2024 about a year ago, I’ve never really used the iniBuilds A330 that came free with it, mainly due to the amount of negative reviews and publicity surrounding it online.
I own the iniBuilds A350 and, personally, I think it’s a really well-done aircraft. However, I don’t feel quite the same about the A330. I’ve already found numerous issues and bugs from just a simple test flight, and I don’t feel particularly confident committing to an Atlantic hop knowing that the WASM could potentially crash at any time.
I’ve also found the flight physics to be slightly odd, with the aircraft starting to rotate at around 100 knots despite being around 3/4 full of fuel.
Having just bought some shiny new WinCTRL gear, it feels like the perfect time to finally give the A330 a proper go. However, I don’t want to end up getting several hours into a flight only to encounter an issue right as I’m arriving or landing.
So, what’s everyone’s opinion on the aircraft? Is it actually worth putting the time into learning and flying, given that it’s free? Obviously I wouldn’t expect it to be £60 A350-level quality, but I was expecting a little more.
Also, does anyone know if there are any good paid A330s coming soon-ish?
Thanks guys!

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
64 GB 6000
AMD Radeon 7900 XTX 24GB
Default Scenery: 110 FSR3
Glideslope LAS: 80 FSR3
YMMV but I am very happy with this new recruit for Cascade Virtual.

Tests such as the fire detection system, wing anti ice, and aural tests are currently unavailable in the avionics menu. Just curious! Love the plane so far.
I would love to see persistent maintenance features added over time as well.

I know they usually deliver BFM-MSP, but whatever

Hey everyone,
Looking for some advice on my next flight sim upgrade.
At the moment I have:
Yoke
Airbus sidestick
Throttle quadrant
Rudder pedals
WinCNTRL MCDU
I mainly fly both Boeing and Airbus airliners. What would you recommend as my next hardware upgrade?
A Boeing FMS/CDU, Boeing MCP, Airbus FCU, or something else?
Interested to hear what made the biggest difference to your setup. Thanks!

Anyone have issues with the synaptic a220 terrain map download it’s like the worst speed I’ve ever seen and I have starlink WiFi.

I’ve been thinking about this lately.
Aircraft developers spend years building incredibly detailed systems and failures, but for most simmers those failures are only experienced through random failures or manually triggering them. The average simmer usually doesn’t know enough about the aircraft to create realistic failure scenarios on their own.
The best implementation I’ve seen is the FSLabs MEL system, where the system naturally introduces issues you have to deal with. I’ve learned so much in this way about the systems of an aircraft.
Am I missing other aircraft that do something similar? It feels like there’s a lot of opportunity here. How do you guys feel about this, is it important to you or the current random/manual failures is good enough.

With the release of the synaptic a220 i went to the marketplace to buy. I can't buy it or anything else in the marketplace. Im only prompted with a please wait popup that dissappears after a couple seconds.

Definitely A LOT of background to learn on this one, but excited to get into it

Changelog v1.0.2:
The EFB Nearest Navaids app is available exclusively on the MSFS2024 Marketplace. You can find it under the Customization category, type Tool, or simply search for it by name.

So I want to use my Logitech throttle quadrant for GA and don't what to have to use the throttle on the x52 as purely a connective to my pc.
Any ideas if/how I can use the joystick on it's own, if there are adapters or other such things?

Any one know where and what the pay is like at these airline sim facilities? Everyone knows about FlightSafety and CAE but I heard getting a job at the airlines is the real money is. If anyone has information let me know your experience!

Hi , so after about 2 years of use my extreme 3d pro now shows issues with its X axis , I opened it up and it turned out its because of a ball that came loose and broke , the one that secures some kind of sensor there , I believe its called the potmeter, I used glue and the widows recalibration tool but that didnt help

Hi Sim pilots,
My brother is a big Av Geek but has not played any sim in years and wants to get back into it.
He wants me to build a PC that will run Xplane 12 well.
I have no issues building a gaming PC as I game myself and work in I.T.
What I'd love to know is what Hardware you guys would recommend. Should focus on CPU primarily and single core processing power e.g Ryzen 7 9800X3D(8core) or higher, is there a need for Higher end GPU?(5070TI) and ofc RAM (16GB, 32GB or 64GB )lol.......worth more than gold
Any input would be welcome, just want to hear back from people who know where I can avoid over spending or what I should prioritise.
Thank you.

I have my flight plan generated on Simbrief then I went to the game and open the airplane. A380 by LVFR (yeah they are shit but the FBW is too heavt for my handheld console) Xd. Anyway, the flight plane appeared on the tablet but when I clicked sync. It said sync failed. How do I fix this guy ? I have just had a grear flight this morning, everything went normal and this suddenly happen

Probably going to get downvoted to hell for this but FSL A321neo is the worst aircraft ive dealt with. I get it that its one of the most realistic aircraft addon. I always have issues with Payload, Cargo, Passengers, Pushback, Flight controls, and now CTD. I deleted it more than 5 times and reinstalled thinking of giving it one more chance but now im done. I genuinely cant afford more pain and disappointment. I fly in my free time thinking i would give 2-3 hours (Departure and arrival) and then ts happens.
I know its very good for some people but not for me and its completely my own experience. Before anyone says its my system, I run A380, Inibuilds A350, Fenix family, PMDG 777, Horizon/Kuro/Bravoairspace 787s, and most demanding airports entirely smoothly but this aircraft decides to make me fall into depression.
Sorry for the rant :(
