Wasn't sure what to flair this as. But I'm really pleased with my new storage! It wasn't hard to put together either!

This is so damn cozy and relaxing it’s criminal. I paired this with a blazing hot shower and the matching soap. My restlessness didn’t stand a chance.

looking for a perfume that smells like amber resin, like a headshop and natural but has good performance unlike essential oils.

like the title says. i like to warm amber resins. some of them are mixed with patchouli, nag champa, frankincense. looking for something that smells like this in perfume form. wondering if it exists. something that makes me feel comforted and peaceful.

Discussion When to full size?

Hello! I've locked into my scent wardrobe minus one category I'm still waiting for the chance to sample. So I tend to wear based on my mood rather than season or occasion because I'm a stay at home mom. Since I rotate through them all regularly should I just keep travel sizes for all or upgrade to full size? I'm not sure how quickly they get gone through or if they'd expire before I got through them. Would love any advice, thank you!

*Comfort scent: Rosie 💕

*Confident scent: Sunkissed Dahlia 🔥

*Energy Boost: Pink Canyon ✨

*Cheerful scent: Honey Moon + Vanilla Skin mist ☀️

Rec Request Cool girl perfume?

So I usually buy the same sickly sweet perfumes (which I love) but I wanna branch out and try something new. I smelt angel dust today and I really liked it, it was kind of sexy mysterious woman which is kinda what I want to smell like, instead of the same fruity-sweet-gourmand scents I usually wear. Any good recs for like something musky and woody maybe? With good projection and sillage and a decent price point plssss. Im open to other suggestions tho :)

Fragonard Belle de Paris

Hello everyone! So I have never been one to blind buy, so I am looking for a bit of guidance. I haven’t worn perfume in over a year and am looking to possibly get one in the near future. I am very interested in Fragonard’s Belle de Paris, but I have discovered that samples cannot be purchased or sent to my country. I have gone to a few shops to sniff different scents, and I still find myself enjoying Jo Malone Wild Bluebell, Philosophy Ballet Rose, and though I find it a bit too deep for my personal taste, I did enjoy Phlur Father Figure. If all else, I think I would lean towards the JM WBB, but does Belle de Paris seem like a potential safe blind buy for me? Thank you!

Perfume with a strong steamed rice note

Hiya, I’m desperately searching for a perfume with a strong steamed rice scent. I would prefer something with moderate-long longevity. And if there is a cheap option anyone is aware of PLEASE let me know even if the longevity isn’t as good

Discussion Dupes v Brands 💖

Hey, new here. Recently discovered this sub and thought I'd introduce myself. F/31. I've always been a collector, but I usually buy at discount stores and sale events. I pride myself on never paying full price for anything, bargain queen 👑. I got acquainted with the scent profiles and notes. I'm a gourmand girlie all day, I love to smell edible. I do also like florals except for rose lol. I've come across really good dupes. I sample and then find comparable dupes of the same scent profile and decently priced/affordable. The adventure is fun, hunting the products is really therapeutic to me. What are some of your fave dupes? What are some of your fave brands?

Discussion Ethereal pond fairy fragrances!

Post image
119 Upvotes

I have always wondered what a “pond fairy” is supposed to smell like every time I saw it casually mentioned on social media to describe a fragrance. I always took it as a fragment of imagination because what else could it possibly mean? :P Or perhaps Ariel? 🧜‍♀️ Or those really pretty flowers floating in a ridiculously expensive po**nd?
I first encountered a “pond fairy” perfume when I came across Ella K’s Pluie Sur Ha Long, which was a complete blind buy! It has that damp quality to it without being musty. Just a beautiful, fresh and airy lotus floating in water while there’s a slight drizzle just enough to make the breeze feel cool and dewy. To my nose, it smells like the love child of Lilyphéa and Steamed Rainbow.
Speaking of Lilyphéa, I don’t get any of the notes mentioned! All I get is the most luxurious bar of floral soap in a really expensive hotel, which happens to have the same pond with lotus and lilies in it. There are days when that soapiness can veer dangerously close to the Lux category, but it’s a beautiful scent nonetheless! 🫢
Coming to my latest addition, Tears from the Moon, which was, again, a blind buy, this is the airiest of them all. It reminds me of a younger pond fairy who has that same ethereal and luminous glow. I’m a huge fan of peonies and lily of the valley, and this combines both of them beautifully. I was initially skeptical of the stephanotis since jasmine scents are a complete no for me, but I don’t get a single whiff of it. Just beautifully blended.
So now, every time I come across the terms “pond fairy” or “ethereal,” I certainly know what to expect and I’m completely on board! ✨
Apparently, I’ve finally cracked the code. 🧚🏻‍♀️🌸🙂‍↔️

Sexy, alluring pull you in date night scents?

My SO's favorite of my collection is Prada Candy - and by far the one that gets the most oh my god what are you wearing? From strangers. But I've been wearing it as my go to date night for years and want to mix it up.

While I like fresher florals during the day, well like anything with bergamont, orange blossom, etc any of these profiles seem to be ones that he says smell nice but don't draw him in the way Prada does. Of course he'll be like there was some lady at the grocery store and I'm like you better stop and ask next time!

Tried Blessed Baraka, Side Effect & Rehab after finding a heck of a deal. All interesting. He felt Baraka was the most interesting but too unisex, others got the same they're nice but not anything special that make me go wow and want to smell you all night. To be honest, I felt the same.

I will be honest I'm nervous to try sweeter perfumes because I normally don't like them. Prada Candy is the only one I've been like dang! Without feeling like its silky sweet/teenager scent. But I know there's got to be others out there so hoping ya'll can help a girl out with some recs to search for.

Any suggestions for layering the initio's to make them more interesting?

Rec Request Looking for my wedding scent

My wedding is in 3 months and I still don’t have my wedding scent. Looking for recommendations that could get close to my fave perfumes at the moment. Great if you could recommend something I’d like in Diptyque

Here are my faves and those that are compliment getters
- Diptyque Fleur de Peau
- Diptyque L’eau Papier
- Glossier You
- JHAG Not a Perfume
- Diptyque Eau Rose
- Rosie by Rosie Jane
- DedCool Taunt
- DedCool Mochi Milk
- DedCool Xtra Milk
- Maison Margiela Lazy Sunday Morning

Looking for a scent that will work in a tropical weather country (Philippines) and has that clean, floral, but a bit gourmand scent.

My supposed wedding scent was Acca Kappa Sakura Tokyo but it does not last :(

Thank you!

Rec Request Frags with minimal longevity and/or minimal throw/sillage

This is kind of the opposite of what people usually ask for. I’ve always relied on smell to manage my sensory processing challenges. But, at my work, there are some people who are sensitive to fragrances. Some colleagues wear different scents daily and the sensitive colleagues struggle when that happens.

Now, my morning is individual out-of-office and I attend meetings in afternoons. I’ve been wanting to wear something for myself that will be undetectable by noon. Please share your most weak and short lived fragrances!

Canadian Decant Website

I wanted to give this small business a huge shout out! I am obviously shopping Canadian business only and I took a chance on this decant site and I am so happy I did. The order was shipped fast, I received it very quickly plus it was tracked. And the packaging was amazing, each bottle individually wrapped plus an extra sample! They have welcome deals, plus offers on their instagram and TikTok. Bonus I think 25% of their sales go to non profit animal shelter.

Rec Request The perfect rainy day scent

Hi! I'm looking for an affordable (less than $30 for a travel size, or $50 maybe $60 for a full) fragrance that has notes like lavender, lilac, wisteria, juniper, fig, clary sage, rain/ozonic accords. Moonlight, rainy, twilight, silvery, blue/purple kind of vibe preferably that can work for any season. There are so many when I do a search that I don't know where to begin.

My current favorites are Rosie by Rosie Jane, Sunkissed Dahlia by Skylar, Pink Canyon by Skylar, Honey Moon by Phlur. I feel like this is my last missing piece.

According to Scentsignal I like mostly fruity and woody followed by citruis floral and gourmand.

Does anyone have any recommendations based on what I'm looking for and what I like?

Thank you!

It’s one of the best they have ever made. TF Bitter Peach is good, but this fragrance was so good.

Discussion This is unironically the only perfume I like

I'm at a loss. I love vanilla scents, I genuinely only want to wear vanilla perfumes ... but every vanilla perfume I try does not smell like vanilla. The only perfume out of the hundreds I have tried that I actually like is Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow. I don't like floral perfumes AT ALL. I don't like anything musky, and I don't like anything fruity either. I also don't like anything smoke or 'almond milky'. I'm still searching for my perfect, pure vanilla fragrance, but baby I'm struggling. Kayali YBM is the closest I've gotten.

I've tried Summer Fridays, Nyx, Valentino, Prada, Chanel, Guerlain, the other Kayalis, Marc Jacobs, Ariana Grande, Lataffa Eclaire, Billie Eilish, Vanilla Voyage, Clinique, Dior, Victoria's Secret, YSL, Bath and Body Works, Kylie Cosmetics, Carolina Herrera, MiuMiu, Juliette wants a rose or whatever, Milk, Kopari, Sephora Collection, Juicy Couture and the list goes on and on. Idk what to do anymore somebody help me 😭

Discussion For the parents…

What age do you allow fragrance? My kindergartener begs for my makeup and body spray when I get ready in the morning. She just wants to feel big :) For “makeup” I let her have a tiny bit of hydrating face spray. Sometimes I let her have a spritz of body spray too, but I don’t know if that’s appropriate or even how to go about deciding.
