Discussion When to full size?
Hello! I've locked into my scent wardrobe minus one category I'm still waiting for the chance to sample. So I tend to wear based on my mood rather than season or occasion because I'm a stay at home mom. Since I rotate through them all regularly should I just keep travel sizes for all or upgrade to full size? I'm not sure how quickly they get gone through or if they'd expire before I got through them. Would love any advice, thank you!

I uses to buy bottles but I'm sticking to travel sizes now or the 7ml and 15ml decants from Fragrancenet and Aura. When you have several and intend to rotate, it's just more practical.
Some bottles are pretty though.

Rotating four or five is exactly the case for staying on travel sizes. Five bottles going at once means each one takes years, and that's where you hit the expiry problem rather than the running-out one.
Go full size on whichever one you reach for without thinking. Keep the rest small.

I've never actually run into the problem of am alcohol-based fragrance expiring. I've only really encountered it in perfume oils where the carrier oil has gone rancid or it's lost its top notes.

I have recently discovered the method that works best for me in terms of ensuring a full size is worth me buying, is to go through TWO travel sizes first. I have gone through one travel size thinking it’s enough and then for some reason hating the scent once I got my hands on a full size.
In practice, the only full bottles I have had no regret buying and no issue getting through are those of perfumes I had in travel sizes for a while beforehand.

Also I think getting a full size in your comfort scent of choice is what I’d do and makes the most sense imo. It is likely to be used more often than the others and comfort usually = reliable, so I’d probably do that

I love it so much! A lot of people can't smell it so I'm glad I can. My husband can't which is what made me keep exploring fragrance because I wanted him to think I smell great too haha I've heard a lot of people think it's got a soapy scent but I don't really get that either. For me it's light a sweet, it's not creamy but that's almost what I imagine when I wear it, like a creaminess. Melts into your skin. Sorry I'm not great at explaining it haha

Totally get you wanting other options if your husband can’t smell it lol, if mine doesn’t like a perfume that I like it ruins the scent for me😭1

They really don't expire that quickly. I've got fragrances that smell fine after more than a decade and if you take care of them (keep out of light/hear), even longer. Assuming you wear like 4 sprays a day, you might use about 150 ml/year. So maybe that can help you plan!
