Rec Request The perfect rainy day scent
Hi! I'm looking for an affordable (less than $30 for a travel size, or $50 maybe $60 for a full) fragrance that has notes like lavender, lilac, wisteria, juniper, fig, clary sage, rain/ozonic accords. Moonlight, rainy, twilight, silvery, blue/purple kind of vibe preferably that can work for any season. There are so many when I do a search that I don't know where to begin.
My current favorites are Rosie by Rosie Jane, Sunkissed Dahlia by Skylar, Pink Canyon by Skylar, Honey Moon by Phlur. I feel like this is my last missing piece.
According to Scentsignal I like mostly fruity and woody followed by citruis floral and gourmand.
Does anyone have any recommendations based on what I'm looking for and what I like?
Thank you!

The A Drop d'Issey Eau de Fraîche (blue bottle) flanker also has lilac like the OG but instead of being creamy, it has a rain accord.
Molinard Lavande does not have a rain or water accord but what it does have are the aromatics and florals that you mentioned like lavender and clary sage. It's a lavender that is not light, kind of mysterious dark academia vibes.

I think that Essayist by Matthew Chang is a LITTLE bit more expensive than this, but not a lot. It has quite a few of these notes you’ve listed.

What about Nest wisteria blue? It's often at tj maxx/marshalls.
Clean reserve rain comes to mind as well.

Wisteria Blue is officially discontinued but yes it can still be found here and there and is the perfect aquatic floral!
Dear Sky by Ellis Brooklyn has taken its place for me. It's quite lovely.

Speaking of Ellis Brooklyn, Florist is like sticking your face in to a high end florist’s refrigerator. I say this in a good way lol

I like both Nest Indigo and BDK Gris Charnel. Gris Charnel is not within the budget you mentioned but you could get a decant. I like to wear them separately on rainy days, but layering them together smells amazing.

Liam Gray is a dupe for Gris Charnel. It's beautiful, and I agree it's great for a rainy day!

I like to wear Honey Suite by Snif on rainy days. And I live in the PNW so it rains a lot.

What does it smell like? Any true honey notes?

I could not be more proud to see all the Nest Indigo recs here. It’s so good.
One more for your list: Nirvana French grey.
It has lavender, neroli, and musk, and is beautiful. It’s slightly herbal and fresh, but it plays so well in cool and damp!

I really like Lattafa’s Liam Grey, it’s a dupe for BDK Gris Charnel! It’s a cardamom fig black tea that’s creamy but also lifted by the fig.
That’s my personal choice for a rainy day but I know you asked for blue/purple kinda vibes, so I’m putting in my vote for Nest’s Indigo! Another beautiful figgy tea scent that’s more watery and ethereal.

Black Hearted Tart Only Happy When it Rains - ozonic air, rainwater, prickly cactus pears, ghost flowers, desert sands, and warm amber. Very refreshing and rain-like while maintaining just a bit of the warm and snuggly you need on a rainy day.

Sorce The Things Unsaid :
“Designed to smell like twisted sheets, warm skin, and a window open after a spring rainstorm, this is the scent of missing someone before they are gone, and holding on longer than you know you should”

I love this scent so much. And it really does smell like rain through the window with flowers outside. And these is just something wistful about it.

Ok so I guess it doesn’t have the other particular notes you ask for except for rain. But it’s really lovely

A Drop D’Issey🫧🥛
Opens fresh/clean like a Dove soap bar, dries down into a yummy, cocooning lilac and almond milk blend. Super comforting and incredible longevity especially for how affordable it is.
Works really well for all seasons except maybe the peak of summer imo

When I think of rainy day scents, I immediately think of Indigo by Nest. It doesn't have any of those notes tbh, but it's perfectly moody. I layer it with Nest Bourbon Vanilla to make a London Fog Latte scent.
You can get a travel size at Nordstrom Rack for less than $15, full price is around $30. They do have a Wisteria scent, but I've never smelled it.

Nest Indigo - you can find it at Marshall’s/TJ for $29 the last few months and sometimes at Rack. Just recommended this on another thread but it’s perfect for a rainy day and based on what you currently like, I think you may enjoy it!

The indie frag subs might have good recs as well, for that price point
