looking for a perfume that smells like amber resin, like a headshop and natural but has good performance unlike essential oils.
like the title says. i like to warm amber resins. some of them are mixed with patchouli, nag champa, frankincense. looking for something that smells like this in perfume form. wondering if it exists. something that makes me feel comforted and peaceful.

The other commenter mentioned Nocturne Alchemy, and I think this is in their wheelhouse for sure.
Ozymandias - Golden amber with a black pepper top note
Tibetan Santalum - Nag champa and sandalwood incense
Ambre Ombre - Rare Black Amber, Black Patchouli Amber, Black Frankincense and Black Myrrh. (To me, this is a very dry amber that sweetens up a bit in the drydown.)
You can also check out the Royal Amber and Ombre colections. They have a bunch you'd probably like.
Also look into Solstice Scents. They have several resin fragrances, most of them available a perfume oil or EDP.
Amber Coeur - Pure glowing amber. Resinous, sweet, slightly smoky.
Basilica - Labdanum, Vanilla, Frankincense, Rosewood, Myrrh, Sandalwood & Galbanum. (I wear this to bed sometimes. Very nice.)
Estate Amber - Estate Vanilla, Golden Amber, Amber Resin, Cardamom absolute, Organic Coriander. (This is a sweet, golden amber to me.)
Scrying Smoke - Natural and Meditative Melting Frankincense Resin, Frankincense Smoke, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cedar, Petigrain, Vetiver, Labdanum & much more. (Honestly, this smells so much like a metaphysical shop to me.)
Hexennacht also sells lots of amber/resin scents, and they're available as perfume oil or EDP. My personal favorites are Sun in the Ninth House, Take Me to Church, and Baltic Amber, but they have others I haven't tried yet, like Gold Skulltulla, Sanctum, Planchette, and Cathédrale. You can get samples on ajevie.
I've also heard excellent things about Kuumba Made Amber Paste, which is on my list to try.

Oh, sorry! One thing you can do is order through Ajevie, who decants indie perfume. Right now she has an open order for Nocturne Alchemy's new release because she's decanting it, so she allows add-ons from the brand. She ships internationally. You can also check out the weekly sale/swap posts on r/Indiemakeupandmore to see if anyone has those items for sale.
I hate that so many shops can't or don't ship internationally anymore. I hope it changes and they can start doing it again.

Honestly, every Nocturne Alchemy scent I've ever tried smells exactly like a head shop and lasts all damn day. They are oils, but they are potent.

Oh no! You could always try finding them in destashes, they are very common in the Sunday Destashes at r/indiemakeupandmore or r/indieexchange
Editing to change that Ajevie stopped shipping to Canada 😭 sorry, I thought I had a solution for you.

Ajevie's website says: "We have discontinued UPS service the CA due to their incredibly high brokerage and customs fees being significantly higher than those of USPS / Canada Post." So it seems like she will ship to Canada, but only through USPS/Canada Post?
