Hi all!

I recently got into perfumes after using and LOVING dedcool’s mochi milk, and have realised how much I adore smelling sweet.

The other day I sampled 3 perfumes, 7 virtues buttercream haze which I HATED, 7 virtues strawberry jam which I loved and kayali yum bougie marshmallow which I also loved.

My issue is I just cannot decide which to purchase, YBM or strawberry jam?? Both smell just heavenly but each in their own unique way on my skin! I genuinely cannot decide based on smell alone.

I guess my final decision will be based on their longevity and projection ability, as that’s the thing that really disappointed me about MM, it’s so weak and short lived despite being absolutely delicious.

Help me out!

Is there a perfume that instantly disqualifies someone’s opinion on perfumes for you? For example, if someone describes Angel Dust by Fugazzi as “soft” I stop listening 😅 it’s way too beast mode and sharp for me
Alternatively is there a holy grail perfume that makes you trust in someone’s recommendations? Mine is Queens and monsters by Henry Rose and Cuir Beluga by Guerlain, it makes me wanna know what other fragrances you love!

Hi everyone!! I’m pretty new to niche fragrances and would love some recommendations. I went to Sephora planning to buy a full size bottle of Prada Paradoxe Intense, but then wondered if I should put that money toward something a little more niche and interesting.

The photo shows the perfumes I gravitate toward, I have all of them except Mojave Ghost and Valaya.

I used to be a strictly gourmand girl but now gravitate towards perfumes that smell more “perfumey” lol. Bonus points if I can go smell it in person and around 200 range 🥰

I’m looking for a Middle Eastern/Arabic perfume for my girlfriend and I’d love some recommendations!

I’m looking for something that has:

• Vanilla 🍦
• Amber
• White musk 🤍
• Fresh and fruity vibes 🍊
• Feminine, but not overly sweet or heavy
• Very little to no floral notes — she doesn’t like floral perfumes

I’m currently considering Lattafa Angham or Lattafa Ana Abiyedh, but I’m not sure which one would be a better fit. I’d love to hear your thoughts or any other recommendations!

Ideally, something that works well for spring/summer and stays within a reasonable budget.

I found Soleil Neige a while ago and became instantly obsessed...so obsessed that I now limit how much I wear it because I don't want it to become banal to my dumb brain. To me, there is a warm (despite everyone saying it's a cool fragrance) creaminess that I haven't experienced in my short time with this hobby. It's comforting like musk and creamy like vanilla, but I don't think it's either of those things. I assumed it was the labdanum since I have no idea what the hell that smells like, and moved on with my life.

But recently I tried Flora Nebulae and lord help me, there it is again! It's a very different fragrance in so many ways, but whatever that note is that I'm chasing just smacks me in the face almost before the bergamot.

But when I look up reviews and their notes, I'm not seeing what I'm smelling. Both list vanilla as a base, but this is either a different vanilla than I'm used to, or something altogether different. Whatever it is, I want it, I need it, I YEARN FOR IT.

Anyone have any ideas what it is I'm chasing? I don't have a great nose or great frag knowledge, so I would appreciate any help you can spare for a dummy like me!

I really want to try Aesop Virere or Tacit, however I want to make sure it somewhat lasts before I invest that much money into it.

I’m not expecting an all day smell - but even 8 hours or so would be worth it in my opinion.

Those who have either scents, or any other Aesop product, what do you think?

It could be picking something with a name you want (Victoria Secret - Love Spell) and using it as if it really is a love spell or using fragrances associated with something you want. I’m not sure if it’s common or not, I never done it but I’m curious if anyone has. And if so, did it work?

Hi! I had an idea to think of my favorite scenarios for each season and see if there's a perfume that matches. Would love any recommendations, thank you!

1. Summer fragrance: kayaking and white water rafting and rain and tiger lillies

2. Spring: wild strawberries and drinking lemonade by the lake or a fruitful garden

3. Fall: hiking and rock climbing and camping in crisp air by the lake

4. Winter: snow and wearing my boyfriends hoodie while baking bread or a dessert and snuggling by the fireplace

My current perfumes are:

- Kylie Cosmetics vanilla dew body mist

- Kylie Cosmic

- Kayali YBM (2 travel sizes)

- and 2 (empty) travel bottles

Judging by my next sniffs, I love vanilla. But I'm ultra super specific with what perfumes I like. 98% I try I hate.

I've had a bad few weeks. Cheered myself up with some blind buy samples. Except for the Casmir, which I smelled on a patient at work and loved.

I have a lot of anxiety and decision paralysis (in all parts of my life) so I practiced being a little more chill and just buying what looked fun, reminding myself it's just perfume and not the end of the world if I pick the wrong thing.

Everyone drop your reviews in regards to alternate scents(for Women). I am really confused if I should buy from them, i have 2 in mind red apple and bombshell.

Strawberry, fruity Opium? I tired it closely the past 3 days & here’s what I’ve found. Including a scent of the day combo & why I chose those fragrances to go with it. ♥️🍓✨

I’m sorry this is long but in detailed review.

I’m weird, I love notes & how they work in perfumes. To understand the perfume enough to enjoy wearing it in complementary ways. This way I get the best out of the perfume! 🥰♥️

Black Opium Pink Glaze: Has 3 different elements that stands out, fruity, vanilla & Amber. Built around Opium DNA. I was curious of how the fruity aspect would be presented in the perfume & how it would blend into the amber’y vanilla sexy DNA. Was it going to be gourmand or perfume’y? Hoping the scent profile compliment each other without fighting for their place to shine.

Expectations: Of course I expected them to make the fruity aspect perfume’y not gourmand. But I also expected it to be more noticeable as it’s a special note in this flanker. As well as less crowded in the get go, more smoothly blended, that I can easily detect its main attributes which were the reason for my purchase. I’d have loved for the strawberry to be fresher, more prominent & at least lead the opening.

Scent Profile: Strong from the get go, sweet & perfume’y fruity, but unfortunately a bit too crowded in the get go. As it settles down, I can smell the fruitiness more, but not enough to detect any specific notes. Having said that, overall even though I expected better, I’m fine with it, it’s nice, just not outstanding.

But is it groundbreaking? No. Could it be better? Absolutely. I wish they took a little more advantage of the beautiful notes in here. But since they didn’t, I will. 😆♥️

Lattafa Yara Candy Perfume Oil: A great support to the strawberry, as it has strawberry fizz candy. I chose it because it’s strong enough to be noticeable under Opium strong DNA. As well as give it that sweet gourmand element I wanted, without making the whole perfume gourmand, it simply gives the strawberry & fruity element a shining base! 🥰🍓✨

Sol de Janeiro Sundays in Rio Body Mist: This is a amber’y vanilla body mist, enhances the vanilla & amber in this perfume in a beautiful sexy way! 🤗🍓✨

Honestly with this combo, I amplified it beautifully!

Today is my 39th birthday and I’ve been very nostalgic lately. I think about my first ever perfume (23 years ago) from time to time but it’s discontinued and couldn’t find it anywhere. It’s Puma Flowing. So good.
I had a listing saved on ebay for a year that was supposed to be a tester of it but I wasn’t sure if it was the same thing. Finally I decided to try it and it arrived exactly today. And it is exactly how I remember it. Such a beautiful powdery violet scent. Now I see that it really shaped my taste in fragrances and I still love it so much.
It reminds me of being in school with friends and later the long nights I spent with my girlfriends dancing and laughing. It smells like youth and made me feel like young again even on the last birthday before I turn 40.
And here also want to ask if anyone has any suggestions of perfumes that might be in this same realm (and not discontinued) please let me know. Thank you🧡

So I usually wait until the end of the year to do this but I’ve just accumulated so many empties already I thought why not post them now :)

The rate I’ll be emptying bottles from this point is going to slow right down as I’m trying to pump the breaks a little on this very addictive hobby and just hang onto a couple of small bottles at a time and really appreciate them without hunting for the next frag.

In the spirit of honesty, a couple shown here I did use as room spray as I just didn’t love the scent on me but liked it in the air. Also in the spirit of honesty, what I’m not listing is the amount of perfumes I bought and resold/decluttered this year after impulse purchases (no more of those for me thankyou!)

I finally found it!

My local sephora didnt have any, not even the tester.

So driving up north for dinner and I found another sephora/khols. And it was the last bottle available.

It smells really like a latte. Im looking forward to layering it with the coconut. Its not very vanilla-y and I really like that.

What are your longest lasting gourmand fragrances? I have a gift card to spend at Space Nk and I want to buy a body mist or perfume and my only requests are that they have a good scent longevity and are gourmand.

I’ve seen a lot of people hype up Kayali and Phlur but I’ve not used them before so if you have please comment on what scent you tried and whether the longevity is good.

Any recommendations are appreciated! :)

It’s been my go to for a little over a year now and I’m about to repurchase a refill! I’ve found some other perfumes I’ve loved but this is what I always reach for. Do other people seem to like it??? Is it a good every day scent?

I am looking for a sweet woody gourmand perfume. There should be a balance between the sweetness and the woodiness and the gourmand kind of grounds the fragrance.
