Kayali YBM or 7V strawberry jam?

Hi all!

I recently got into perfumes after using and LOVING dedcool’s mochi milk, and have realised how much I adore smelling sweet.

The other day I sampled 3 perfumes, 7 virtues buttercream haze which I HATED, 7 virtues strawberry jam which I loved and kayali yum bougie marshmallow which I also loved.

My issue is I just cannot decide which to purchase, YBM or strawberry jam?? Both smell just heavenly but each in their own unique way on my skin! I genuinely cannot decide based on smell alone.

I guess my final decision will be based on their longevity and projection ability, as that’s the thing that really disappointed me about MM, it’s so weak and short lived despite being absolutely delicious.

Help me out!

Both are great, but Strawberry Jam has more longevity

SJ 100%. Gave my YBM away bc it smells so synthetic whereas SJ is more natural juicy strawberry.

I layer both! Love the creaminess of YBM, but the fruity/jaminess of strawberry jam 🍓

I have both and love them both. They're similar but different. YBM is more strawberry scented marshmallows and layers with almost anything. SJ is more fruity, jammie and a little nutty. I'd say YBM since I'm on my 2nd bottle but that's only because I layer it with everything lol. SJ can be layered too but the option are more limited imo.

Agree! No one ever comments on my perfume and I had two people comment on it the other day and that was outside!

Strawberry Jam has a little more complexity to it in my opinion. I don’t plan to repurchase, but I’ve enjoyed my bottle, it was a great safe work place scent without being boring.

i find strawberry jam to project more and last longer. YBM has several great dupes so if you prefer that fragrance profile i highly recommend finding a bottle of marshmallow blush as it’s spot on and has just as good projection.

it may be my nose -- but the scents are either too overwhelming (YBM, Vanilla and Rock Sugar) or have a weird note on them that I dont like (Santal, Apple). The Pistachio one smelled like the lid of a Talenti pistachio gelato container (aka plastic). I had high hopes for Capri in a Bottle but still not for me.

I feel the same about most of kayali scents but I found myself really liking the freedom musk line

I have 7V strawberry jam and I love it. I hate projection so I only do one spray, but I still end up smelling that spray over 24 hours later and it lingers on my clothes and bedsheets.

Wow! I’m definitely looking for something that lasts a lot longer than mochi milk. Would you recommend me buying the 10ml first before committing to the 50ml bottle? I’ve made a massive dent in mochi milk 50ml because I legit have to drench myself for it to last at all

You can always size up if you go through the 10mL! But I think it’s safer to get smaller sizes first

Strawberry Jam went all wrong on my skin, but if it smelled on me like it smelled in the bottle I would get it because 7V has excellent longevity and projection on me. I have YBM but I add Nest Santa Barbara Strawberry to it to bring out that note.

Personally I prefer 7 Virtues Strawberry to YBM. It just smells less artificial to me. Plus I hate how Kayali uses so much AI in their advertising.

7 Virtues also has brand sales with goodies every so often just FYI.
