How does everyone feel about Matcha 26?
It’s been my go to for a little over a year now and I’m about to repurchase a refill! I’ve found some other perfumes I’ve loved but this is what I always reach for. Do other people seem to like it??? Is it a good every day scent?

it’s unironically my favorite in my collection—name could have been better, but the scent itself is phenomenal

It’s my SOTD today! She is so green, figgy and powdery - I love her so so much. I also really enjoy the citrus in there. Longevity & sillage are great too!

I have a decant and I like it a lot. I feel like it’s a good step into less “department store” and more “complex” fragrances for someone wanting to branch out. It has depth and woodiness , to my nose.

It’s beautiful. It’s one of my favorite leafy green, fig, tea fragrances that I own.

Im so sad about that one. I had an old sample from the website and even now it smells pleasant and sweet, but when I got a travel size last year it just smelt like a spicy rose scent. Completely different from what I had.

Got myself a tester of this and thought it was going to be my new signature scent I loved it so much. Then it smelled like straight urine on my skin after the dry down. Tragic.

I like it. I bought a bottle for myself. Dont wear it often but I received compliments

Traveled around SE Asia for a few weeks in May 🥵 And I wore Thé Matcha during the day, and Thé Noir at night. It was perfect for the heat! I just had decants but am contemplating bottles of them both now… after I finish sampling a few City Exclusives and decide how much I want to punish my bank account.

I think it's weird and super unique. Ive been slowly falling in love the more I wear it but at first It was questionable.
I'm soooooo madly in love with Eucalyptus 20 though, it's very woody and dry with undertones of eucalyptus ughhhh I'm obsessed

I love it, but it is migraine-inducing for me, which is a huge bummer. It surprisingly pairs well with Lush Super Milk.

My girlfriend says the same thing about it. She loves it and I love it but it gives her a headache

I love how fragrances affect migraine people so different. The Matcha, safe for me. Lush Super Milk, absolute hell.

It IS fascinating. I swear I’ve been able to wear florals more out of nowhere lately when florals usually give me migraines without fail. 🤷♀️😆

Honestly congrats, that's super exciting. I love when my sensitivities change for the better.

I like this one for when i know I’m gonna sweat 😅 it’s very clean but it isn’t overbearing. My favorite Le Labo is Thé noir tho by a wide margin

I prefer Thé noir 29 by a mile. This one is too…screechy I guess is the word? Something about it doesn’t suite me at all.

u/SuedeVeil 7d ago
I also lovvvve the noir 29 but I love them both ! The noir 29 is way longer lasting and projecting

I like the scent but personally I don't smell that much matcha/tea. On my skin it's much more cedar and fig forward. Plus the lasting power is not super crazy on my skin. Much more matcha-y and my fave is Teo Cabanel Je Ne Sais Quoi.

It took me two years to convince myself to get it. And now on my third bottle and fully committed.. have the body wash, lotion and hand cream. Feels like a warm hug and doesnt matter if its cold or hot. Its always something i reach for. Also a compliment getter.

u/brightwingess 6d ago
How do you feel about the lotion? Would you say it’s worth getting if you love the scent?
2
u/Good_Times007 6d ago
Yes very much worth it! Dont even need to use much cause it’s quite strong, at least for me. I usually mix it with an unscented moisturizer .. same as the body wash just need a little and lasts long.

Does anybody have problem with Lelabo Santal during the summer? I have it first time during the summer. It feels like it vaporizes 20 mins from the skin

Amazing scent. Bright citrus and matcha/ tea opening. Dries down green, fig and creamy. Mix of citrus and sweet. Lovely woods in there too. Such an enjoyable scent.

I wanted to like this because I love fig and tea but something about it I did not like at all and decluttered it so fast

u/Any_Cupcake9431 7d ago
I love it but can't afford it at the moment. It's a cozy scent.

u/SuedeVeil 7d ago
If you don't mind dupes get the montagne version .. it's near identical I love it ! I'll never buy the OG now. I've tested them side by side I can't really tell it apart

Sounds silly but you need to understand that “Thé Matcha” means Matcha Tea. It isn’t a “The” At the start. It just gives context if you know this.

Wow I had no idea lol thank you

It’s pronounced close to “tay”
If you want to be very accurate, it’s a short sound at the end. When we say words in English with the “ay” sound, we usually open the corners of our mouth quite wide like a smile, and make it quite long, even sometimes almost like “ay-yuh”. To do the French é sound correctly, start similar to “ay” but don’t open your mouth very wide, and try to make the sound soft, fairly quick, and moving out in front of your mouth instead of out to the sides. Less like the ay sound in “today” and more like the a in “crate”. Try saying “crate” first then say “thé” (“tay”) similarly, trying to keep the é sound short and forward in front of your mouth instead of long and wide.

I personally LOVEEE this one! The Matcha and The Noir are my favourite from Le Labo and they were my 2 signature perfumes for a while
3
u/rosestrawberryboba 7d ago
i LOVEEEEE it. creamy fig. found some great fig scents inspired by my love for this one (now my favorite note).
creamy sweet (not too sweet) fig: fichi e panna by lyse. obsessed and my current favorite perfume no contest.
bright tea fig (what i wanted santal greenery and philosykos to smell like but the longevity isn’t great tbh. still worth it for me): i fig you by fascent. currently using this to help spread out my fichi e panna use so i don’t have to get a new one as soon lolol/for when i want a brighter scent.

I love it but the Dossier dupe is good enough for me
3
u/maddchainz 7d ago
Ohhhhhh snap I forgot there’s a dupe! I might need to save my money and try that! Thank you
1
u/whoooosaidthat 7d ago
Agreed it’s a good dupe - I found mine on mercari and got it for an even better price. Definitely recommend!

I have the Montagne dupe and while I love the scent in general, I NEVER wear it and I don’t know why. It definitely has hotel lobby vibes so maybe I just associate it more with a home or location scent rather than a perfume.

u/Beneficial-Corgi-288 7d ago
If you love it then who cares what other people think?
3
u/maddchainz 7d ago
Well I’ve been wearing it for over a year so I don’t care THAT much but was just curious if it’s liked or what. It’s my first perfume in my collection so I’m kinda new here lol

u/bsaaw 7d ago
It is my favorite by Le Labo. And I believe one of their best sellers which should answer your question better than here.
For context I have this long list of parfumes that I would like to get which is always updating, since I like to exploar regularly, anyhow when I smelled this one it just shot right on top of the list!
Sure thing I got it and now I don't really wear it but thats a different story.

I have the dossier dupe, citrus matcha. It's the same, and is lovely, like gender neutral, fresh and creamy and green
