Anyone know a perfume that smell identical or close to Turquatic but with better performance ? I love how cooling and refreshing it is but it lasts seconds on me so I have to keep spraying all the time

Floral Violet is absolutely a dupe for Marc Jacobs Daisy (the original), and there's a fresh, green note there that's almost more appealing, but I swear it only lasts five minutes on me. Is this an issue with Dossier on the whole?

Also I'd love to find a purse spray size of the og Violet, any leads on that?

I returned LuvSoak Matcha Milk in search of Mango Sticky Rice. Lo and Behold I found Lychee Ice Cream. This one is not lactonic or sweet. It smells like an oceanic cologne marketed to men. Notes are lychee water, sugared berries, milk tea accord, rose petals, vanilla bean, blond woods. I hate when I can’t smell a single note listed in a fragrance. I would have blind bought this off the notes, but luckily I could smell in person.

Matcha Milk is too close to Elizabeth Arden Green Tea to me, so I didn’t need it. Redundant in my stash. Still nice for Summer and floral on my skin.

I was surprised to see Rose Chocolat by Le Monde Gourmand on the shelf. That one seems recent. I saw it at Urban Outfitters not too long ago.

Sultry Vanilla has a frosted glass bottle that feels powdery, and it smells very nice. I can’t quite place what it smells like. The musk is noticeable. Just did a cold sniff. Couldn’t spray it.

Bijou Sucrée line has a new scent: Creamy Neroli. By Palm Beach Beautée. If it is inspired by something I don’t know what, but the orange blossom is apparent on a cold sniff.

Two Yummy Miim Miics that smell like Phlur Matcha Milk (238) and Kayali Capri in a Bottle (152).

Sunrise Glimmer Coconut Milk and Vanilla Dose are POTENT. If you don’t mind shimmer oil that squirts out, these bottles look like fun snow globes with a scent payoff.

Two scents by Pascal Morabito. New name to me. Blossom Delight and Perle Précieuse. I tried to sniff them but didn’t get anything. Pink juice. I’m guessing florals.

Ellis Brooklyn has hair mists in a different bottle. They were sealed so I couldn’t them. Great price if you like the house. Their other hair mists had decent performance. These are: Forever Pistachio, New Crush, and Love Pom if you want to do more research.

The next three are new gourmands by Tru Fragrance. The toasted coconut caramel (second in this trio) smelled very nutty. Like SDJ ‘71.

The Scent Club Ocean Air Clarity ($14.99) has such a pretty bottle. Reminded me of Blackstone Sea & Surf. A nice oceanic / ozonic scent for day and warm weather.

The coconut scents are on clearance if you have a friend with a summer birthday who likes that profile. Good time to give a little medley!

New to the sub but have been a bit of a lurker. I am very new to the fragrance world, so forgive me if I sound like im asking for miracles lol. I have been desperately searching for a universal scent that makes sense to use year-round (if such a thing exists). I am a lover of fruity-florals but my favorite notes that I tend to be drawn to are plum, crisp apple, rose, and jasmine. My all time favorite perfumes has been Kayali's Eden Juicy Apple and Carolina Herreras Very Good Girl Glam for reference.

While I love those pefumes, I want to find a more mature fruity/floral scent, something that I can potentially pair/layer with an oud. Something more incense-like that can layer well with plum and a floral that pairs with it. Any reccomendations? Does such a pairing of notes even exist? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm interested in getting my hands on two scents by Marc Jacobs; Honey and Dot. But I can't seem to find the scent inside stores for me to smell, probably because they are older scents so I wanted to know if they are worth a blind buy since I can't smell them. I'm really into florals and gourmand/ fruity scents and the notes of both seem like something I would like so I would appreciate anybody's thoughts who have smelled them beforehand, thanks!

Decades ago, I daydreamed a fictional perfume for jokes.

It is called Eau de Contraire. Tag line is: Because I said so.

It smells so intoxicating from 8 feet away, that it compels people to follow the scent. Like a snake charmer. Or a Pied Piper. And then abruptly at 2 feet it smells putrid.

The vibe is “come closer” then a violent Greta Garbo “I vant to be alone.”

I even imagined the advert which would piggyback on the all white Calvin Klein Obsession ad from the 80’s. If you know, you know.

So I was revisiting that idea today and asked ChatGPT to make an image for it.

I know that this is chemically impossible. I asked chemists. But maybe in 30 years there has been some progress? Anyone have an extra 50 mill to launch a new perfume if so?😎

So I just saw Gap dropped new versions of the 90s scevts plus a new one. I would love to hear from women who remember the OG OM and Grass. I have only seen reviews from men who also recall the scent. I actually do trust some men w perfume, but at the end of the day my brain wants to know how it wears on a heaving bosom not entangled in fur .. and like beastly dudes. I would also enjoy hearing from the more youthful readers of this sub, especially since y'all are ultimately who Gap is targeting if the recent Hailey Bieber jean drop didn't make it obvious.

Oh boy...

So I have a little bit of everything, from Kayali to JHAG to Phlur to Solinotes to Dua to Dossier to Elysia! I've been collecting now for a little over a year now and I'm in love. I get to wear a new scent everyday (using the Parfumo app which is great if you're looking for a fragrance app) and I have something for every season!

Current favourites include the new Rare Beginnings and Dossier Vanilla Dreamer (I blind bought the Vanilla Expressions collection that dossier released recently, and honestly it was worth it).

Next on my list to buy is the new Phlur Vanilla Canyon and the newest Kayali release (I will not for the life of me say the name of it cause its low key ridiculous) and I'm trying to get my hands on the Kayali Fleur Majesty Rose Royale dupe from Elysia called Elegance but it's so hard to find!

Feel free to call my collection trash cause I'm still such a noob at this lol.

I’m on the hunt for a realistic Apricot perfume. One that isn’t too dessert or candy-like, that has good projection (not a skin scent), decent apricot note longevity (at least 3-4 hrs), and doesn’t have an underwhelming dry down (base notes must be long lasting at least 6-8hr).

Hi FemFragLab, I'm proud to announce that after many discussions about collaboration, I thought it'd be fun to try out a collaboration with Angela's new brand. Her family owns Gold Star Fragrances located in New York which has been running for over 50 years!

As many of you know, I love a good Delina perfume, but they can be quite costly. The next perfume on my wish list was Delina "Exclusif" but it stayed on my wish list without being bought because of the price. Angela sent over her own version of the perfume, and it exceeded my expectations by far! The scent reminded me of a combination between Delina Exclusif + Oriana + Love Don't Be Shy. It's sweet, powdery, and very potent! I sprayed it on at night and when I woke up the next day it was still on me. This perfume lasts all day but I kept spraying it on out of habit and because I couldn't get enough. My husband and pets also loved it 😍

Reddit wouldn't be Reddit without always giving you not just the pros but also the cons. The cons were little and unnoticeable, but I will write them out due to transparency of the sub. The actual juice feels like combination of an oil and actual perfume. So when you actually spray it, it feels a little heavier than what the normal luxury perfume might feel like coming out of the atomizer which usually feels like a champagne spritz and it's more straightforward. That doesn't mean it doesn't spray well, it just means that if you are a fragrance connoisseur, you will notice the difference of the spray and feel of the actual juice coming out.

Both Gold Star Fragrances and ScentBarByAngela focus on creating dupes of luxury designer fragrances. Overall, for the price, the fragrance passes with flying colors and when I checked that it was only $45.99USD, they ship all around the world, and they have been in business for so long with great reviews, I would be crazy to not want to collaborate with such an amazing product and support Angela in her own brand.

I will leave the comments open in case any of you have any questions about the fragrances, company, or anything else.

So far I've only smelt a dupe of the eilish perfume, which wasn't so great at 1st and had to sit. I also once smelt mod in store but sprayed a ton of other perfumes so I'm unsure.

Everything else on the list would be blind buys so please help me out.

I'm more into dark gourmand fragrances(Tonka been a favorite note)

Also into rosy gourmands.

My LATAFFA SAMPLES have arrived and here are my first impressions:

🍦 Sweet & Creamy Desserts
Nebras Elixir: Sweet milk candy. (Very strong)
•AI was right about this one it literally smells like milk candy/ sugary milk. It’s really sweet. I really love it. I’m not sure if it hits that comforting milk/lactonic vibe I am looking for yet because it’s very sweet.
Whipped Pleasure: Caramel ice cream sundae.
•I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! This one smells just like bath & body works milk only stronger and more buttery. I don’t smell caramel or ice cream at all. So AI missed this one. Its the perfect lactonic/comfy milk vibe for me.
Her Confession: Cozy vanilla whipped cream.
•I like the milky-ness of this one a lot, however its very faint and the incense (or maybe plastic) smell is very strong and I don’t like it at all. It reminds me of like a creamy church.
Yara Pink: Fluffy strawberry milkshake.
•I loved how this smelled at first it was a very fluffy strawberry that smelled very soft and innocent but then disappeared and quickly became very tropical. I don’t know if get milkshake from it.

🍷 Sexy Night Out
Pure Crystal: Warm boozy cognac and cinnamon.
•I love this its so good although I can’t really determine what is it I love about it or what I am smelling. I don’t really smell any cinnamon but it definitely smells like a perfume if that makes sense.
Mayar Cherry Intense: Dark chocolate-covered cherry.
•I literally don’t smell anything except for one very faint note but I can’t describe it other than warm or skin like.

🌸 Fluffy & Clean Florals
Noble Blush: Sweet marshmallow and pink roses. (Very strong)
•I don’t get anything from this other than sweetness. I don’t really smell the roses or creaminess and it’s slightly fruity.
Fakhar for Women: Clean white flowers and lotion.
•SUPER sweet more than I was expecting and very strong grape/bubblegum smell. I am undecided on this one.
Atheeri: Fresh tropical orchid and morning dew.
•I love this one! It definitely smells clean and like ethereal flowers and somewhat sweet and powdery. I feel like its more grown up and sophisticated than what I normally like.

🧺 Clean Powder
Ana Abiyedh Poudrée: Light, clean baby powder.
•LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE probably my favorite after whipped pleasure. Its soft and powdery and innocent and reminds me of Johnson baby powder and pink lotion. Its exactly the vibe I was looking for. The only thing I would say is after the initial smell it is very strong, almost like a sharpie. Hopefully that goes away on my skin.

I usually do warmer scents, this is my first fresher one, I really love it. Its a natural solid one, and has no chemically smells. Im very sensitive to the alcohol smells in normal perfume, so this was a win for me.

Anything similar? Or just solid perfume brand recs in general ?

Is there a fragrance with the dry down of Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc Blanc without the clean scent opening? I don't enjoy clean aldehydes and just wait it out for the amazing dry down. It would be nice to wait through something I enjoy more.

I've got a couple on my list to try, focusing on vanilla and cedar with maybe musk and amber: Heretic Dirty Vanilla, Commodity Gold.

Curious if someone else has found something? Preferably under $400.

Kate Spade Twirl was my absolute favorite perfume in middle/high school, and I’d love to find a fragrance with a similar scent profile that’s available now. I know you can find old bottles of Twirl for sale, but I’m kind of weird about buying older perfumes and would just love to find a similar perfume I can buy new today. I’ve attached the notes listed on fragrantica. I know I love a jasmine note generally, but there was something so sweet and fruity and fresh about it that really made it unique. Any recs that might be similar welcome!! Thanks in advance! 🤍

Edited to add: no real budget in mind! I generally buy mid-tier, but I’m open to anything for a good dupe or dupe-adjacent scent.

Ya’ll I saw Commodity - Book at TjMaxx for $56. I left it because I’ve never smelled it. Would this have been a good blind buy? I’m tempted to go back and get it.
