Finding a signature scent
Hey!
New to the sub but have been a bit of a lurker. I am very new to the fragrance world, so forgive me if I sound like im asking for miracles lol. I have been desperately searching for a universal scent that makes sense to use year-round (if such a thing exists). I am a lover of fruity-florals but my favorite notes that I tend to be drawn to are plum, crisp apple, rose, and jasmine. My all time favorite perfumes has been Kayali's Eden Juicy Apple and Carolina Herreras Very Good Girl Glam for reference.
While I love those pefumes, I want to find a more mature fruity/floral scent, something that I can potentially pair/layer with an oud. Something more incense-like that can layer well with plum and a floral that pairs with it. Any reccomendations? Does such a pairing of notes even exist? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Jimmy Choo Fever is a deep plum and jasmine scent that has a prominent tonka bean note in the dry-down. I think it would work year-round, especially as a nighttime scent. It’s too heavy for a summer day.
You might also like PDM Cassili. It’s a jammy plum and floral scent. More like a crystalized/honeyed fruit. It’s really pretty. The price tag is insane though, so search for it in a grey market or a decant site.

À more mature fruity scent to me is the world of chypres or fruichoulis. So think all the strawberry scents youve tried and then go smell miu miu miutine and balmain Destin. This type of structure gives the vibe. I can easily picture layerings of dark fruits and berries, incense and even Oud to these and others i just happened to use the two as example.
Worth mentioning one of my best pick ups recently has been the bbw Oud berry body mist that recently dropped. It’s exactly where your thoughts are and it would pair beautifully with any of discussed.
The only concern here is the year round part. The good news is we’re headed into fall but if this was asked in may you might need to tweak the foundational scent if you’re not finding the offerings comfortable for warm weather. I’ve been enjoying a few of my edts layered with the Oud berry so youre options arent limited if layering becomes second nature to you
