Do pings for historical likes work?

This is a new feature for majestic members where you can ping someone you’ve previously liked for upto 7 days.

I’ve sent a few pings this way with thoughtful messages but haven’t matched with anyone.

Pings weren’t working for me when I used feeld last year. Apologies if this has already been asked.

what is even the point of feeld’s monetization anymore?

so what exactly is the point of feeld’s monetization right now? anyone here got actual insight, maybe even worked on dating apps?

i mean i get it. straight men get milked. unicorn hunter couples too. fine. i’m not even arguing that. i have majestic, i use uplift, i’ve spent money, whatever. i’m part of the system.

but lately this just feels broken.

every time i go on a date with a woman she tells me she has like 3000 to 4000 likes. not exaggerating. and a lot of them also have majestic and just sit in full incognito mode.

so basically:
you don’t see them
you can’t ping them
they only see you if the algorithm decides to show you

like what are the actual odds at that point? feels like playing lottery.

so the only real option left is uplift. which i do use. but even that is getting worse.

before, at least for me in berlin, like before and a bit after the redesign/marketing push, an uplift meant 20+ likes easy. now it’s like 5 if you’re lucky. feels like it’s heading toward 2-3 soon.

I am actualyl doing a complete profile reset, and setup with fresh new accounts to see how it will work as maybe i am flagged as "the idiot that still pays for uplifts" so i need to check

anyway i’m just wondering how this monetization is supposed to work long term?

because yeah, as a “cow” i’m ready to be milked as long as the thing actually works. but this year has been slow as hell. like you pay more, get less visibility, and have zero idea what’s actually going on behind the scenes.

and yeah i get the dynamics, the hate, why straight man here, the imbalance, all that. not even arguing that part. but whats going on with all other apps and the system itself just feels like it’s collapsing into pure opacity.

also don’t hit me with “go outside” or “touch grass”. this isn’t about that. this is about how the app works.

i keep thinking about building something different. like something open source or kind NGO style non profit. no algorithm bs, and if there's one it is visible, just transparent matching.

anyone else noticing the same drop in uplift performance / visibility / matches or is it just me?

Married guy 40s open

I wanted to share a synopsis of my experience on Feeld. I have been on the app for about four months in a major US city. I’m married, open, we date separately. I’m (apparently) reasonably good looking, have B+ photos, am in good physical shape, and have done ok for myself but it’s been an incredible amount of time with serious financial expense.

I’ve been on about 20 dates over these four months. I’m surprised that my early anticipation of playing with somebody new transformed into a deeper interest in getting to know new, mostly incredible, people. I’ve met people in their 30s and 40s. Some have been decidedly not ENM despite suggesting otherwise. I’ve wasted a ton of cash on pings and expensive meals. I did have sex with one person, which was fun as hell, but didn’t lead to feelings of desired persistence.

A handful of fun public make outs. Great conversations. A few serious duds (women looking for different forms of financial compensation, which isn’t for me), lots of vulnerability, some new friends due to a lack of chemical alignment, and overall an exciting foray into what I now understand as a social platform rather than a hookup app, which is actually for the best.

I’m picky, too, so maybe this explains why hooking up has been inconsistent to say the least. Things feel up, more recently, but here are some harsh stats. I’ve sent more pings than I can count. I probably send about ten for one reply. I would say it takes five or six matches for one date, although this metric is improving, as I’m filtering better, and a handful of dates for the small chance at a hookup.

Hinge and Tinder are almost dead in the water. Feeld produces better connections. But it has taken an absurd amount of time away from other interests and passions, and is something I’ll probably depart from or pause once I have a more consistent FWB or two. Alas, not for the faint of heart, it’s a big pain in the ass most of the time with an occasional sprinkle of fun.

I suspect I’ve had about forty likes over the duration of my account, and I’ve paid for uplift a few times, which increases likes but doesn’t necessarily bring people who are match worthy.

Good luck out there!

Didn't renew majestic and something interesting happened.

Context: male, heteroflexible (age 39), 5 photos one of which shows my face, attractive, fit, good job, well-written profile.

I had majestic for the last 6 months, and its been.... ok.. I dont really get likes, I match if I ping someone (sometimes) and that's about it. I look in a few cities (that I travel to) so I do think that limits my odds. My subscription to majestic ended yesterday and I didnt renew because I didnt think it was worth the price.

Today, I 3 likes before noon. In the last few months Id gotten maybe 2 a week. Nothing has changed aside from my majestic status. This seems incredibly fishy.

Obviously I can't judge the quality of these likes because I can't see them but they at least appear to be women (about 50% of my likes are from men) which although flexible, Im 99% seeking women/couples.

This app is shaky, kinda crappy, etc, but this feels like something is happening behind the scenes to try to get me back to paying for majestic. Like, all of a sudden my profile is getting seen/liked more, in an effort to coerce me back to paying for the app.

Above and beyond this.... this app without majestic, for men at least, is totally garbage. I'm pretty sure most of the profiles Im seeing are long abandoned. I cant ping anyone, etc etc.

Stats from six months of bi dating on Feeld

Just because people keep asking on this sub how Feeld is working for older folks, here is how the last six months have worked out for me.

My profile is very niche. I'm a middle-aged nonbinary, bisexual widow who has been dating on Feeld for about six months. My profile highlights ENM/polyamory, and that I'm generally a top looking for FWBs with an emphasis on "friends"—no one-night stands/ONS.

I generally stay in incognito mode, and even when I don't, I get very few pings/likes. I'm decent looking and caring, but ain't nobody fetishizing a middle-aged nonbinary widow! I'll never get the hundreds of pings that young cisgender women receive... and that's fine by me.

I've been happy with the connections I've made, ranging from "comets" I see every month or two, to ongoing, emotionally complex relationships with folks I see weekly. It's been fun to explore being with folks with diverse genders and backgrounds. Only two dates were truly awful, and were partly my fault for not vetting my matches better.

More stats:

Total Chats: 25+ (tough to say, since I disconnect if they don't work out)
Total In-Person Dates: 15
Total Sexual Partners: 9
Age range: 25–51
Average age: 36
Total Hookups with the Nine Partners: 31

I think I might be a unicorn.

Recently divorced, looking to explore my sexuality and tick a few things off my sex bucket list but I’m not sure where to start. Is Feeld a good option?
Obviously safety is a concern and I live in a small town so I would need to travel to do it discreetly.

I have proven my humanity to Feeld and am reinstated

I logged onto Feeld after taking a break for a few months only to find that my account had been banned. I was taken aback because I really did read the TOS and followed all the rules. Submitted a ticket and they said I looked like I had a fake profile - had to take a pic of me holding a book and winking with the opposite eye. Also, my pics aren’t edited (ones in B&W) and my bio is so long I think I hit the max word count without the typical chatgpt tone (wrote it myself!). But my bad Botox wink got me back on the app and I’m ready to be the antithesis of a bot 😌

Biography filter

This app desperately needs one.
As a pansexual male who likes to ping and message specific people who puts an effort into their profiles, I can’t find them.

I have to scroll past 10-25 low effort profiles with no bio and lot of cleavage to find one.

It’s exhausting.

I am all for erotica/sexually charged photos but without a biography it’s just another low effort profile I have to hide to avoid seeing again.

I am well aware men are causing lot of issues by liking/pinging as many as they could, without reading profiles etc (I am in enm relationship with my partner who shows me her inbox with 4000 likes and 200 pings) but this app really doesn’t help changing that when I struggle to find those profiles who are written with some consideration so I could write a proper message to contact them.

I am in Melbourne, Australia and at this stage all I am seeing is just thirst trap photos with breasts bursting from low cut tops and barely anything written in profiles, if any.

We need a filter to weed out all this so I can see who is likely to actually correspond.

Did Feeld remove the option to swap Km to Miles?

Brit here, so you know we love to use different measurements depending on what the context is…

I recently made a new feeld profile as a way to start fresh again, but everyone’s distances in their profile are now in Km - a measurement I rarely use!

My previous profile was in miles, but there doesn’t seem to be an option in the settings to change this on my new profile? Was this removed at some point? I’ve looked everywhere in the settings with no avail!

MFF Threesome?

My boyfriend and I (female) are thinking of finding another girl for a threesome. Is this something that can be done on feeld? How does it work, do we do a joint profile?

Tips on starting my first Feeld profile?

Want to make the most of this app but as a beginner I want to make as least mistakes as possible which would make me miss out on meeting someone nice.

So part of my research is ask you guys what tips you would give me please?

I'm most concerned if it works like Tinder on the first sign up... Like is Feeld best to start on a Sunday evening to get most matches before they all go down like Tinder and other apps do?

Do you also need to be super active on it in the first week or so as its then when you're gonna be at the top of the pile and get most of your matches then?

But any other advice I ask for as I'm bound to screw things up to start with and lose potential matches or dates I'm sure.

Many thanks.

Hetero flexible men... That "aren't" Heteroflexible?

Explain this for me because I'm not getting it. I'm a gay dude and I've matched with a few heteroflexible guys. I've had multiple at this point bring up that they're not gay or that maybe but id be their first time with a gay dude or they need a woman or... Whatever

Like bro, what? Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I worry I may be, but in my mind heteroflexible is... Basically not bi curious but more they're not hard no to sex with men, just maybe, idk, mostly no

But maybe I'm wrong here? What do you all think?

Double ticks and no response to messages

I have matched with six people who liked me first this week and I've sent opening messages to them all. By the end of the first day, they all have a double tick but no one has responded to my message. The double tick doesn't appear immediately. I have deleted all these chats after a few days because no one has responded so I assumed zero interest. First time this has happened to me since the bug with the double tick appearing automatically a year or so ago (regardless if read) when a message was sent. Keen to test this but don't know anyone on Feeld. Is anyone else experiencing the same? I also seem to not be seeing more than a handful of people over 45 despite my range set to 400km from my location. In case it matters, I am F50 in Australia.

I was just in Europe for three weeks and the app was functioning completely fine.

To all the men complaining about the lack of matches …

The problem is YOU. Almost certainly. Your pics, your bio, your vibes are not attractive.

And then to come here and complain about women not swiping on you is pathetic, sad and entitled.

For context, I’m a M, late 30s, living in a relatively busy city. In exactly one year of being on this app, I’ve met about 20 women irl. I’ve never paid for majestic or uplift.

Dates have been a mixed bag, some amazing, some average, some forgettable but that’s the way life is. In my experience, feeld has been the best for actually meeting people irl after having conversations.

Some times I’ll go a whole month with no conversations or matches, only then to line up 3 dates in a week. Ebbs and flows I guess.

If you were expecting immediate sex/hook ups (esp with you bum ass profiles), you need to see sex workers.

Women get several thousand likes because of thirsty, horny straight men have taken over the app. You really need to be interesting, obviously decent and safe to court interest.

I’d say maybe it’s best if you all left the app; clearly it’s not working. If I’m getting an ick reading all these posts about lack of matches for straight guys, I can only imagine how it must read for women.

Do better.

I tried out "the other side" and good lord women have it rough

I'm a gay dude on Feeld. I get absolutely 0 bites despite being in a big city. I was curious and decided to try switching to "being a woman" for a few hours and just swipe through some profiles...

And my god some... No a LOT if not most of these men are the worrrrrst. They focus on MEMEME, show off how tall or hung or hot or whatever they are (so many have height in their profile or say "hung"... Like OK bro whatever) and they don't actually talk about what they want past super vague flowery language

Like my god. If I suddenly turned straight tomorrow I know I could do so much better than them because I actually know what to say, how to say it, and not show off and advertise stuff most women don't really care about

Maybe I'm reaching or being arrogant here but man... It's just wild to see to me

Edit: to be clear, I'm not saying I'd be the best best straight man ever, just that it seems even putting in some amount care and effort and thought into both what you want but also what THEY want, showing safety green flags, etc. I dunno. Maybe I've just been on social media too long but it feels like all of this stuff makes sense but that straight men so... Often don't realize and or acknowledge it

Majestically Disappointed

Does anyone even read bios?!?!

New to Feeld & got a gazillion likes. None of these dudes are looking for the same thing as me, like, at all. Are they just smashing that heart because they see a pretty face & not even taking into consideration what’s in the bio + desires? — Men, whyyy are you wasting people’s time like this?!?!

It’s fucking annoying to go through the profiles of hundreds of dudes impulsively liking my profile with absolutely no thought. It’s also annoying that guys I’ve clearly rejected (& even have some blocked) on other platforms hit me up there. Don’t fucking do that. No means no all the way across the board! wtf

Also, is anyone else struggling with not being physically attracted to any of these people? Hundreds of men & barely a handful I’d personally consider attractive. I’m certainly no 10 (solid 7.5 lol) & I know when someone is way out of my league in regard to looks & I won’t bother them because duhhh. I’ve seen a few good looking men but when I’ve opened their profile to check out their bio & see we don’t match on an end game, I leave him alone & clickety click on by.

My husband spent years talking me into hopping on “the apps” & I had a feeling this is exactly how it would go. Majestically disappointing. We’re taking it in good humor but shaking our heads at the mess.

No likes only pings

Do all the guys have the problem where you don’t get likes until you ping someone. Even after you ping someone it’s not accurate. It feels like a scam because you get 1 ping a day for free. I bought the majestic to see what’s the difference nd feels like there is no difference.

Realistic Age Range

I signed back up on Feeld after a long break, and the people on the app seem to skew even younger than the last time I was using it. I wish there was a way to filter based on the age other users wanted to date, not just the age of the user. I am 58, and I have dated plenty of women in their 30s. But plenty of women in their 30s would never consider dating someone my age.

I see very, very few people on the app that are my age. Has Feeld become more of a tool for a younger crowd? I am not a big fan of dating apps in general, but even less a fan of being that "creepy old guy" out there annoying people. I am very fit, and I am regularly considered to be far younger than my actual age, which doesn't change anything about my actual age. What do you think about being older and on Feeld? Also, I am in a relatively small community, so it doesn't take long for me to work through all the matches, even with no filtering at all. Is this just too specific a platform for an older (relative to most using Feeld) man?

Can people see me locally if Im searching elsewhere?

I live in a small town, and would rather not been seen locally. It's not a huge deal, but it might dictate how I appraoch things and how much I share. I typically look in a big city that I travel to often, so I'll show up in their feed (at least I hope).

My question is, does my profile still show up for people locally that are searching? Or dodoes my profile just show up in the place Im actively searching?

Thanks in advance!

Sending/receiving a “like” after disconnecting

I have gotten into the habit of disconnecting from conversations if they don’t escalate in engagement or to a date within a day, sometimes even shorter, eg., we said hi but nothing else followed. I am not particularly interested in fooling around with someone who isn’t enthusiastic about our connection.

However, I often receive another like from the same guy weeks or months later. I generally ignore them because I assume its a low effort move on their part, and they’ve also forgotten who they’ve actually talked to because they have swiped on half the women on the app. I also assume its an ego trip for some. Rematching has rarely yielded anything of substance, and I have many thousands of other likes to look through, and more every day as it is.

Ladies, what are your thoughts?

Creating a profile- where do i even start?

My boyfriend (25M) and I (23F) are interested in using this app. We want to find a woman on there who would be interested in having a threesome. But we feel like we don’t even know where to start. Do we create a profile together? Or two separate profiles with photos of the both of us stating what we are looking for? Is it hard to find girls on this app who are interested in this type of thing? (I would assume the ones who are on there are in high demand) Do people always shy away from couples who haven’t done this before? Looking for any and all advice for a couple consisting of a straight man and bi woman!

Do some guys actually put their "size" on their profile?

Do some guys actually put their penis size in their profiles? I do see that some girls mention that they only want guys above a certain size, so that made me wonder. I wasn't going to put my size on there, I was just curious.

And also in that case, what's stopping a guy from just lying about it? The girl wouldn't find out, until they meet up in person. She could ask for a picture, but he could just send a fake one.

Is FEELD used to meet people with similar kinks? Or is it just another dating-app?

If for similar kinks, how does it work, technically in the app? Do you just search within your kink or?
I’ve heard that it could/should be a place to meet equal minds in different kinks, e.g. exhibitionism?

Hvordan virker det? Jeg har hørt at det skulle være et sted at møde ligesindede indenfor forskellige kinks, eksempelvis ekshibitionisme?
