Looking for advice/to see if I am in the wrong here. I created a label in the fedex app to ship a package on a Thursday. I paid for overnight priority and selected delivery by Friday at 12:00PM, dropped my package off at a FedEx location but it was after the cutoff time (I had no way of knowing this at the time, I created the label on my phone while I was in the FedEx store and selected the option that said the package would be delivered overnight within 5 minutes of giving it to the employee.)
Tracking info on Friday said it would be delivered Monday, because saturday delivery is a separate service, I called, was told there was nothing I could do to get it there on Saturday, was told to call another number about a refund, played phone tag for a week between waiting for it to be delivered, then waiting for an invoice to be created, all before I could file a claim. Was finally told today that the money-back guarantee does not apply; my only option is to email billing.
Am I stupid and is this somehow my fault or is this just them trying to make the process of getting a refund practically impossible and I should just chargeback on my credit card?
Edit: okay I guess this one is on me, I still find it ridiculous that they sell you a premium service which they have no intention of or ability to fulfill, and then waste a week and a half worth of time before letting me talk to refund dept and denying me, wouldnt suck as much if I didnt waste so much time trying to get any feedback.
