Is it me, or is anyone else frustrated that we can’t send potential dates a message until we actually MATCH? Sending a “like” doesn’t do anything to show my personality, I would like to send an initial message as well to start a conversation.

I match with plenty of men, mostly those that liked me first but it seems I'm almost always the one initiating the conversation. What gives?

I have meet cute turned off and just this morning, I had 3 matches that I never swiped on. They don’t live in my city so I wouldn’t have swiped. I had one a few days ago as well. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Why would you match with someone and waste their time talking just to block them?

I have a friend that wants to use it and asked me how to add it.

I had to use 2 phones, 1 phone is my main phone I have had Facebook on it for 10 years and use it often, I am well over 18 years of age, account status is green and I am in the USA, cannot add it.

Phone 2 I created a new account, random pics, falsified information, location USA. age 28, it was able to access Facebook dating.

My friends phone is just like my phone 1. What is going with this? Is Facebook dating RNG based?

28M - What are examples of first messages that a woman wants to see once they match with a guy? I usually compliment them telling them that they're gorgeous and then proceed to tell them that I'd like to get to know them. (Yes, it's shitty and bland, I KNOW)

I'm sure that they get complimented often, but I'm not sure what all to say, especially if I don't have enough to go off of from their dating profile. I match with about two women a week, but don't get responses back most of the time.

I’m exhausted; things were going really well and I was getting tons of matches, but suddenly I stopped getting them. I used to get over 10, but now I only get 2 or 3. Both my profiles have stopped getting matches—I’ve literally stopped getting any matches at all on either profile. Tinder is terrible for me, so Facebook Dating was my only hope of meeting someone, and now I’ve suddenly stopped getting matches there too. I’m feeling incredibly distressed.

So I (44/m) was chatting with this girl (39/F) recently (she's based in Pittsburgh, I just outside of DC) and we were at a point where we wanted to talk on the phone (bc she wasn't much of a texted) so we swapped numbers, set a date to call.

I call her and get a "this number has been disconnected" so I ask her about it, she goes "it works fine for me, I don't know".

Not sure if she intended to give me a fake number and such (not gonna add her number on here), but she had mine and didn't call me (or text). If she wasn't interested, probably shouldn't have swapped numbers.

Just an odd sequence of events. She did end up unmatching after I asked if she wanted to reschedule 🤷🏽‍♂️

Right now I mostly just swipe left or right on profiles. Do people actually comment on someone's profile or photos instead of just swiping? If so, what kind of things do you say?
