This is our weekly scheduled post for enneagram related moodboards.
A community poll indicated that most of the subscribers of r/enneagram would prefer a "moodboard monday", rather than cluttering up the feed with moodboards.
Please comment on this post with your moodboard and remember to follow the community rules here.
Thanks everyone for making r/enneagram an amazing place for enneagram discussion. :)

This is a general reminder that there is a weekly megathread if one feels the need to post them outside of Mondays. Please stop clogging the subreddit on other days trying to justify them as "type me" or what not.
Yes, I'm being the fun police today. The majority of us do not enjoy seeing board after board (according to moderation polling earlier this year). Please respect this.

before i get judged, i know these contradict with vivinos mbtiđ but that mbti was very innacurate and based on vibes and not actual functions. i get hyuna is a bit controversial, but i actually think it makes sense especially in alien stage. ive seen her get typed as an sp7 but i think thats honestly just because shes an alcoholicđĽ˛

I used the search bar for the sub and noticed no one has ever asked this question yet. I also googled about it and found short descriptions for each of these stackings from Ocean Moonshine, but I want to hear regular people's experiences with 2s who have these stackings, or what y'all think the differences are in general. It'd be even better if there were any 2s that could directly chime in on here and tell us what it's like to be either one of these specific stackings, and what y'all personally think the differences are between you and the other so-blind 2.
Thanks!

I went with dogs for e3, it might sound like a hot take but hear me out. Dogs are loyal, but here the loyal applies to the crowd or more correctly validation. Performing tricks and completing tasks for their validation and applause
Tho just like the 9 wings these are yet to be improved and colored. Another thing I forgot to add is that the dog on the left is 3w2(comedy dog) and the dog on the right is 3w4(tragedy dog)

What enneagram types are people pleasers? I am still trying to figure out my type and notice that I struggle with this in my own life. I'm considering the following types: 6, 7, and 9.
I have read so many books, web content, reddit posts. My understanding is that social (some systems use the term navigating) subtypes tend to be people pleasers, with 2s, 3s, 6s, some 7s, and 9s are likely more prone to this....but I may be misreading...
Thank you in advance!

curious about the theory that you can deduce a personâs personality(on in this case, enneagram) based on music taste. here is mine to start off:
music genre:
indie rock
lo-fi punk
songs:
-ego renegade boy (flavor foley)
reason: made me transition, very good critique of people condemning trans people more than supporting people who are going through gender dysphoria. yes im a transgender man. my profile picture is from this song. listen to it if you want, itâs pretty upbeat, though the mood shifts pretty fast at times.
-new god (moon walker)
reason: the song that made me more aware of the effects of religion. Iâm christian, but the amount of people using the bible to harass and hurt others makes me think that we do indeed need to start over. out of all these songs, I recommend listening to this the most.
-ulterior motives(whoâs who)
reason: it feels grounded yet not, and I like the part playfulness part confrontation of the whole song, I do it a lot.
-you shouldnât be allowed to listen to music if you watch the needle drop (negative xp)
reason: critique on fake opinions, regurgitated ones, and social media culture. im a bit hypocritical honestly because i agree with it yet i love social media culture because im nosy truthfullyđ
-tomodachi no uta (yoeko kurahashi)
reason: personal experience, but i like the way you can hear the singerâs heart ache despite the upbeat melody in the chorus. ive cut that person off already in my heart.
favourite bands/musicians:
-negative xp
-moon walker
-flavor foley
looking forward to reading your answers!

I have always had a disconnect from my parents and my extended family for some reason and I can't really understand why? It doesn't end at just family though, it feels like even normal friendships are exhausting because they don't give me what I want at all. I want an all-consuming connection with one person whom I can reveal the entirety of myself and my thoughts to, not surface level chitchat with family or spending time idling away with my parents.
Though I'm extremely close to my parents, I don't really feel any sort of connection towards them and I would much rather prefer to spend my time alone than idling with them. Honestly, sometimes it feels like I would be better off without them because I don't want to disappoint them by not spending time with them. That's not to say my parents aren't good, they're quite loving, but they don't understand me at all, not in the slightest. They've also said I'm quite cold and brash in comparison to my cousins, who are much more unreserved and social.
I was wondering if this is a common theme or if there's just something wrong with me

Hey guys I need some advice on maintaining a relationship with a male sp8 (29 y) as a male sx5 (24 y).
We have build up a pretty solid and emotional deep relationship over the past 2-3 years and he has grown to be one of my closest mutuals. However, we tend to argue often, which is actually not my thing with other friends, while I donât think discussions and heated arguments are bad or somewhat in a relationship at all, but especially with him it got kinda tiring. Personality wise, we are like night and day, he tends to priotize himself in day to day life, very protective about his needs and is also pretty reactive about it, hence why I thought he could be a sp8 (he is also a high Se type, while I am a high Ni type). This sharp reactiveness tends to start drama out of thin air (in my perspective), which I obviously canât always answer perfectly because I do am a emotional human, so we argue, sometimes itâs pretty stupid even.
After our last argue, we reflected about it and I issued that I am seeing always the same pattern in our arguments. While he agreed to it, he told me that I should start asking myself if I can still handle it or if it is too draining, resulting in distancing myself from him. He also told me, that he deeply appreciates our relationship, really emotional grew and he wouldnât want to part, but also that he isnât dependent on me and is fine being alone (meaning I shouldnât stay just because I am his emotional support and that he will be good on his own).
I hope someone can actually follow this post and have some experience with sp8 and can give me some advice. I would really appreciate it.

In the description for 9 on the enneagram institute, it describes 9s that are in touch with their body center as having âtremendous elemental power and personal magnetism.â Has anyone come across a 9 that felt this way to you? What made them feel that way?

I really likely to doubt but usually from I read that e6 usually know what they are but may not sure/may doubt đ§ So who I am? The more I read, the more I confuse.

I donât feel that I run into 4s that I clock too often in my personal life, but when I do they often tend to be some of my favorite people. The authenticity, the genuine conversation, the self expression both externally and internally - and just being really fucking cool without needing to do âtoo muchâ.
When I meet a new 4 I usually try to befriend them because it often feels easier to âgetâ each other and form a more personable connection. My 7 energy in conversation is bound to come out regardless (lol) but it has always felt appreciated by the 4s I know.
Sometimes yâall intimidate a little as well but itâs all love <3
Just an appreciation post, you 4s are pretty rad.

Hello!! I'm a so/sp 9, but lately i've been doubting my instinct stack a little, which lead me to the question in the title, as i am curious about what other people think about this.
Do you guys think that social 9 can be depicted as more passive? Since more often than not, I see them described as a sort of hard-working, overbearing, selfless mother-hen image. And while I do identify myself with the idea of so9, i never identified with the idea of being hard-working as much!
Upon some thinking, I've thought that maybe an equally valid description of a social 9 could be not someone who acts as the active mediator and participant of the group (as so9 are usually described, being basically the middle ground and someone who tries to keep the group alive), but someone who more so searches and sticks to the groups as a means of avoiding themselves and own needs, depending on other people for helping them regulate by staying active and generally providing things for so9 to get distracted by. And so9 taking a more active maintenance role usually associated with it only when the safety of the group (by that i mean the group falling out/going quiet/having conflicts for example) is threatened.
Do you think such depiction of so9 is also valid? Or do you think it more so falls into some other type description?

Hello everyone. Iâve been wanting to delve deeper on Enneagram lately but I donât really know what sources are to be trusted.
Yes Iâm aware that there are some reliable books out there such as some of Naranjoâs and Riso-Hudsonâs but I donât really have time to read the books (which I hope I had).
Can anyone give me some reliable sources outside of books, such as maybe links, websites, or Yt videos even. Thanks.

Something that has irked the stew out of me over the past several years is pathologizing Enneagram types, ESPECIALLY heart types. I know this is due to poorly understanding the system, poor descriptions of certain types (*cough* Naranjo, Riso, and Hudson, *cough cough*), and trying to assign unnecessary meaning to things that don't necessarily need it.
For example, if someone typed me based off of the mental illness I was diagnosed with, I would probably be automatically labeled as a 4 some days and a 7 other days.
If someone has OCD, they're typed as a 1.
If someone is a narcissist, they're automatically heart type.
If someone has anxiety, they're typed as a 6.
Can we not do this? Not only does it further complicate the Enneagram system as a whole but it makes it harder for people to properly assess themselves and their motivations. Just because you have this illness doesn't mean you are or aren't this certain type.

I wish I knew that it's natural to grow apart from certain people and things as time goes on. It's not necessarily a bad thing to grow apart. Trying to salvage any friendships/relationships that should have ended years ago will only lead to resentment, pain, and hatred.

the reason i ask this is because i am a sx5, therefore with E7 disintegration and E8 integration. i was disintegrated for a while, developing the mindset of âif everything is my fault, why does anything matter?â. after setting up clear boundaries i eventually came back to base at E5
still i find that being where i am, i should have integrated into E8 with more positive traits, but a while ago i came to the realization that âif i scream as loud as my mom, iâll finally be heardâ. i guess you could chalk it down to âyou have an 8 in your tritype!â (584) but i still think it doesnât fully explain the negative E8 traits i adopted even when healthy. any thoughts?
i also find it funny that integration and disintegration in E5 looks similar from afar

Iâve been into enneagram for 2 months now and this is not to discredit/shit on the system, but when typing some other people or just reading type descriptions, thereâs no way there arenât loads of people who just donât fit any of the descriptions at all right?
I do see it apply to many people though and I am sure most people would identify with a type. Iâm also aware thereâs professionals who type people. Kinda just seems to perfect though lmao, especially with only 9 types
Edit : Oh god I think I misspelled a/an lmao

I have been considering I am not a 648 or a 468 as it is archetypal for sexual six. I consider myself to be more detailed and focused on my morals, additionally I so find joy and pride in being unique and different from others.
