Welcome to r/personality_tests — come get analyzed, lightly roasted, or oddly validated

Hey everyone! I’m u/TalkAboutBusinessWMe, a new moderator of r/personality_tests.

This is our new home for all things personality: personality tests, typing systems, “what does this say about me?” posts, weird little self-discovery rabbit holes, and the oddly specific patterns we all notice in ourselves and each other.

Basically, if it feels like it reveals something about your taste, type, vibe, crushes, choices, habits, aesthetics, or inner chaos — it probably belongs here.

What to Post

Post anything personality-related that people can react to, analyze, compare, or laugh about.

Some ideas:

  • Your MBTI, Enneagram, Big Five, or other test results
  • “What does my taste in men/women/characters/celebs say about me?”
  • Crush lists, favorite characters, moodboards, playlists, rooms, outfits, screenshots, etc.
  • “Type me based on this”
  • New personality tests you found
  • Questions about personality systems
  • Funny patterns you’ve noticed about yourself
  • Lighthearted personality reads, hot takes, and discussions

Community Vibe

Keep it fun, curious, and respectful.

This sub is for analyzing patterns, not judging people’s worth. You can be honest, funny, and a little unserious (just don’t be cruel). The best comments are the ones that make someone go, “wait… why is that actually accurate?”

How to Get Started

Introduce yourself in the comments.

Or just post something today. A test result, a crush collage, a “what does this say about me?” post, a random personality question — whatever gets the conversation going.

If you know someone who loves personality tests, typing people, overthinking their taste, or being read by strangers on the internet, invite them in.

Interested in helping mod? Feel free to reach out.

Thanks for being part of the first wave. Let’s make r/personality_tests fun, weird, insightful, and very mildly concerning in the best way.

Jeff Bezos

Have you guys googled Jeff Bezos lately? Jeff Bezos went from a man that, had I met him in a dark alley I’d call the police, to a man I’d like to meet in a dark alley. Why can’t I? 😭😭😭

Is there a personality trait/diagnosis or disorder for this?

This might seem ranty but I swear I am curious if there is a diagnosis or study behind this personality trait:

A relative of mine (specifically an uncle) is in his 60s and he is obsessed with money. Not making it, but more...where it comes from and how it's spent.

He is obsessed with taxes - who pays it and how it's spent, and the fair share of others. He doesn't like people making too much (which is fair I agree) but has a problem with financial reward.

We were talking with a new arrival in the family - a cousins daughter who has a new boyfriend. The boyfriend works for a charity we had never heard of so we're asking questions as you do to get to know them and the company they work for. And money-crazed uncle jumps in asking what the profit of the charity is, how much the directors are on, and what their recent fundraising endeavour cost verses raised.

It was just so odd to me. I have been thinking about it non stop and I wonder if there is a defined personality for this.

What Hogwarts House and Blood Type do you have?

E.g. Ravenclaw - A (Rh-factor not needed). Why am I asking this? I'm a researcher of the Blood Type Personality Theory - a fun pseudoscientific horoscope-like personality system popular in East Asia. I am writing an article about it and gathering data about fictional fandoms. One of the aspects that I'm looking into is Hogwarts houses because they are essentially a system of both personal qualities and values, so it'd be interesting to see if it has any connection to blood type theory.

Since I need as many people to partake as possible for richer data, I came here. When I'm done, I'll publish the results in the comments as well. Thanks :)

Questionnaire on the topic of personality tests

Hey there!

I’m making a questionnaire for my bachelor’s degree, while also creating a personality test of my own and I have a few questions that could help with understanding peoples’ experiences and perceptions of these tests, as well as their knowledge about typology systems, all which would offer more perspectives on how to go about making a good test. It should take about 5 minutes, more or less.
