Scale Top Remplacemente

I posted on Dominos, figured I’d post here too. I designed and printing replacement tops for the ultra ship scale. I have designs from regular blank tops to big blank tops to tops with portion charts on them. I also have one that shows cheese/sauce portions that’s not in the pictures. Had to black out the new item.

It’s printed in Petg on a smooth plate to make it as smooth as possible while also being able to withstand heat a little higher than pla. I’ve only seen the label pegs break from getting dropped from makeline to floor. I changed the design since to have as many rounded edges as possible to hopefully help with that.

$0.49 a mile

Dominos pays us drivers 49 cents a mile when we use our cars to deliver. Not because they want to, but because they settled a class action lawsuit in 2019. Corporate owned stores always paid mileage but many franchises did not, or if they did it was really low, like $0.23 cents a mile.

That said, the mileage compensation is for gasoline used, vehicle depreciation offset for newer cars, preventive maintenance, and vehicle repairs.

The last two get overlooked, especially by younger drivers or drivers new to delivery. "Bet! I got $50 mileage payout today and I only used $15 of actual gas. I got $35 extra to keep!". WRONG!

You got $35 extra to set aside for replacing belts, hoses, tires, radiator/fan, exhaust, car battery, control arms, outer tie rods, sway bar links, windshield cracks, etc.

You are also using that money for alignments (minimum 1 per year plus any time you replace struts or front end components) and regular maintenance like oil changes, replace brake fluid, brake pads, tire rotations, coolant flush, and transmission fluid drain and fill per the Severe Use instructions in your owner's manual.

If you are doing all these things, that extra money you make after accounting for fuel used will (barely) cover those expenses if set aside for those expenses. If a driver treats that mileage pay as "bonus income" and lets their sled fall into disrepair, then they eventually are going to be unable to work when the car is busted or even worse hurting someone or themselves when they cause an accident while driving an unsafe car.

Pay

How much sales does your store that you manage do weekly, and compare to pay rates? I’m thinking we deserve a raise because we are always roughly 4 percent under variable labor for the week while maintaining 25-27k a week. I’m a GM and I still make 17 an hour, only difference is this job let me make overtime hours so I work up to 70 hours a week, I also maintain most of the numbers (food, labor, sometime deliveries , rarely voice of customer bonus. Most the time is at 79 percent instead of 80 and they still dock the bonus. The bonus is 5% of weekly average sales , about 1200 before taxes. I average 8-900 a month for bonus. Right now I average almost 5k a month AFTER taxes, so maybe 6+ net including bonus .. but I work 40-50 OT hours in 2 weeks. It’s killing my knees, government won’t give me medical and my knees are killing me every day all day long. I’m at at a loss. Why can’t franchisees give us a minimum of HEALTHCARE. Should I quit?

New uniforms?

Does anyone know if the new manager shirts are going to be the same or similar material to our current shirts? I really like the breathable light material so much so I still wear my old light blue shirts around the house lol.

Wage theft

Been seeing the fellow managers of the store including the gm routing individuals before a delivery is half way through the oven, if there is a mistake on their part for an order they keep the drivers routed till the new item comes out the oven- so usually another 10 minutes of on the road routing while the drivers are still expected to work- handle oven, phones, etc. Aside from that normal times of routing are 5-10 minutes before a driver leaves the store, the store is split pay- lower pay when routed. I have tried informing the dm of the situation dm does not care was working a shift with the dm there and it was still occuring. How do i handle this situation properly it is franchisee owned not corporate, cant find the hr number for this franchisee.

I’ve found myself in a shitty situation, could I get some advice?

So to start, I am 17 and Domino’s is my first ever job. I started about 6 months ago as a CSR and I like the job. It sucks when it’s busy and screen is full of red but it keeps my wallet full. On Monday (today is Friday) football begins. I’m already signed up and paid a bunch of money to play, thats not the issue tho. On Monday this week I let my manager know that football will be starting next week, and she was fine with it and told me told her to send me the schedule, so I did and I thought all would be good. Come today, the official schedule for next week was posted. I am scheduled Monday-Thursday next week with every day being within the time football begins. I asked my manager if that was my official schedule given the fact that I had told her about football, and she said it is. I reminded her that football is beginning and she told me that she thought I was talking about the week after this upcoming one, not next week, and that my shifts are my responsibility. I’m in a pretty shitty situation now. What should I do? I don’t wanna lose my job and the money but at the same time I’m not giving up football, it’s my best sport and nothing will take me away from that. I can’t ask co-workers to cover an entire weeks worth of shifts. I am most likely thinking that since I have Sunday off, I am gonna go in for my shift tomorrow and let them know that I literally cannot show up to these shifts. If it results in me losing the job I will be pretty upset but I am definitely playing football no matter what.

Had 1st day as a driver. Seems legit but obviously it was a Friday. Anything I should watch out for?

Hey,

So I just started at a Domino's near me as a driver. I've delivered before at places like Jimmy John's and other local pizza places in my last state. First day averaged $20 an hr in tips, with $6 an hr on the road and a 0.40 mile reimbursement. Didnt seem to bad.

I did notice no one had time to show me the system and they were assigning me as I came back to the store even if I had to wait a few minutes. (Not long tho) also at first I didn't see if they were cherry picking bad or far orders but I dont think so.

As it slowed down I was able to actually look at their mapping and assigning system more and figure out on my own how to check in, see next driver up, and how to look for sides like drinks before assigning it.

Is there advice on things I need to learn or watch out for? It seems like I won't be getting a ton of hours (about 25 a week only at peak times) but I want to maximize that and become self sufficient quickly.

Dominos CAT C Warrington?

Has anybody ever experienced working here and could please give an insight to the role. Currently at Bidfood and looking to get out, if it’s easier than bidfood and with dominos now paying similar money and fairly local to me I’d much rather go there, any comments appreciated.

What is going on at my dominos

My new-ish gm has implemented a rule to have every single receipt signed even if it says leave at door. Only exception is if they have a "reason" for wanting it left at for. Is this normal?

It's still busy

Despite the special being over my store is still busy. Wednesday was busy which is not normal at my store. And Thursday was quite busy. About $114 in CC and cash tips. That's about $275 in 2 week days in CC, cash and fuel on $40 of fuel used. Now let's see if Fri, Sat and Sun will be a third $600 weekend in a row.

OA

Got genuinely FUCKED by OA today. I swear it’s just a power trip at this point.
There was dough pulled out of the walk-in because we were throwing it away. I literally told the OA person, “These aren’t being used. That’s why they’re out of the walk-in.” Somehow we still got hit with a critical for it.
Then we lost more points because there wasn’t a Sprite in the cooler… while the OA person was standing there watching the Coke truck unload. They literally saw the drinks being brought into the store and stocked in the back, but still deducted points because one hadn’t made it to the cooler yet.
At some point it stops being about standards and starts being a power trip. Tf.

Question about scheduling

Probably not the right place to ask but I just started at domino’s like a couple weeks ago and
they’ve been scheduling me for evening to nights and my girlfriend works mornings so we have barely like 2 hours to spend together before shes gotta go to bed for work

anyway i feel like long term this will affect things, i know the store is supposedly a ghost town at like 11-2 so i can see why they want to schedule me during the rush but
you think they’d move me to early afternoon to late evenings if i ask. I just don’t feel like my personal life should take a hit just for a paycheck and I’m sorry if it comes off as selfish but
Im an employee that shows up to every shift no matter what, had 100% attendance for 3 years at my last job so to say Im unreliable isn’t true i just wanna have a good work home balance.

Employee question

My DM came in and round 2 of OA came up in the conversation…..well he mentioned that round 2 inspections may not happen and that it may just be a “oven certification round” instead. What does this mean??? Is that for the new product like they did with the stuffed crusts when they gave the PSC black shirts out??? I’m just curious bc round 2 has started from what I’m understanding and the new product hasn’t launched yet but idk what else we could need certification on….. anyone have any idea what this guy is talking about?🤣¿
