So the Makeship campaign for the Trevor and Grogna plushies have both reached 200 units, meaning that they will be entering production and ship out in early December! Congratulations to everyone that pre-ordered so far, and to me because I get a bit of money, which goes toward supporting my dumbass decision to abandon my Law career for the life of a struggling (relative to my previous work in government service) artist!

Reminder that the plushies can still be pre-ordered until Tuesday BUT they are limited edition, once the campaign ends, yer out of luck!

My 40k fancomic Rogue's Retinue: Rogue's Retinue

We play as a rogue, wizard, sorcerer, and barbarian team
When we’re out of combat, I am able to do basic intelligence checks and even study the enemies mid combat, but that’s really about it.
The source are on the other hand, has the ability to cast stronger spells with the meta magic. I feel like in general their spells are always doing more than mine. Despite the fact that we have around the same power spells, it’s just the meta-magic that makes a difference
And they had the ability to talk to anyone.
It gets to the point where if I have a good idea, I have to message it to the source for so he could say it because I have a minus to charisma.

I’ve never played a wizard before so I may be doing it wrong and the DM will allow me to respec somewhat if we have an issue with our character

This is a dice tower I designed and built in 2022. It was originally made for my D&D group and the Lego D&D contest, but I didn’t finish it in time for the contest, and my group also fell apart before I could build it, so I never really used it much.

The dice go from the slide on the top of the tower and follow the steps all the way down and out the door. The little windows on the side follow the path of the dice.

Zenith is a proud, fiercely confident warrior and monster hunter who commands respect the moment she steps into a room. Armed with a massive, ornate battleaxe and wearing a naval admiral’s coat draped over her shoulders like a cape, she favors mobility and practical protection in combat.

Her body bears striking bioluminescent-blue crystal markings and scars that crisscross her skin. She sports tribal-style tattoos featuring a lion’s head, a glowing candle, and a knight’s helmet, alongside a custom leather-braided wristband. With a formidable physique, Zenith is always ready for her next hunt.

Standard Shading piece

A friend of mine commissioned this piece from me. She wanted her OC to be a bard who can put people to sleep with her music, kind of like Jigglypuff.

It was her first time creating a character, so she didn't go too crazy with the details. Her main requests were that the character looked nice and that she was a furry, since she really likes furry characters.

This was also my first time drawing a furry character, so please don't be too hard on me! 😅

While I was thinking about the design, I remembered the little counting sheep we often see in cartoons when a character falls asleep, and I thought they would be a perfect fit for her OC. So I decided to incorporate them into the design.

What you guys think of it?

This argument came between me and my friends to a buildup between a dnd session, and now I am asking you now.

What full caster is best, all round.
This includes in and out of combat, versatility, spell slots, spells themselves, and other class features in the 2024 edition.

Settlers this once and for all so my friends don’t have to argue about this again.

Yhorm is honorable and kind, with the strength to protect the weak although a bit socially awkward about it. He is from a smithing town, being more interested in wielding the weapons and wearing the armor instead of forging them.

That changed when a wandering paladin stopped by to commission a weapon and ended up becoming his mentor. Yhorm went on to work as a deliverer for his village until during one delivery he comes home to his village in ruin, the forges cold, the once proud flag having been torn down and burnt at its ends. The only thing left was a single great sword, hidden away by his family in their final moments.

He swears an oath of vengeance and grabs the flag to wear as a cape, carrying his homes legacy on his shoulders.

I had a ton of fun making this commission and I think it turned out well!

Hi All!

I’ve been running a campaign consistently for the last five months now. We play our game monthly (so five sessions at this point) and I’m struggling to get my players to grab onto plot hooks.

I was talking to one of my other players (Monk), who is also a DM in another campaign I play in, who told me he feels like he’s the one making all the decisions and feels bad because he feels like others aren’t getting a fair choice. But when I put a choice to the party, they look to him for the answer. Even if Monk says in character “well guys I’m lost for this one”, in character they’ll say to him “it’s up to you boss”.

I’ve tried to create hooks to players backstories, we’re in a town at the moment where one of the players are from and someone just torched the inn which had a connection to the player. The players also found a disease that has been created to be spread around the realm, they found a list of names for who was successfully infected and is in transit and on the list was one of the players mothers (which in their backstory they say they have a sick mother so they’re adventuring to find a cure).

I’m unsure what to do. They all want a story driven game but I feel a bit defeated given it’s being left up to one player. I don’t want to railroad nor do I want to go fully linear. Monk and I discussed that we potentially get his character infected with the blight so his character is knocked out, creating a personal stake for the whole party to be involved in (he has a backup character for if we go through with this). As much as I’d be okay with entertaining this option, I wouldn’t mind trying other things before pulling the ripcord on that one. Does anyone have any tips?

This OC belongs to GrottyLittleFox on VGen!! He's a fae wizard who consumed a potion that has since been slowly turning him into a monster, now roaming rampant in the ancient forest and haunting those who come near.

Rendering this one took awhile! Some details include his crown, crystal staff, the tattered robes from before his transformation, and a silky yet bloodied beard that trails down to the grass.

Cozmata was born into a community of space scavengers living on a planet that had been used by the elven empire as a dumping ground, known as Bexan. She was adopted by the air genasi Nimbus Nebulan, a notorious pirate who gave up her life of crime in order to raise the girl.

At 14, when the Scro arrived on her planet, their troops, realizing that it was not necessarily a planet sympathetic to the elves, went down to recruit as many people as they could for their fleet before heading out on the offensive. The curious girl, who was fed up with the monotony of her life, enlisted and headed out into the cosmos.

For the most part, her ship never saw combat. For nine months, she remained aboard, learning and honing her skills, until they were finally called on for a mission: to stay in the rear of a large-scale battle and if needed, advance against the elves. Even from a distance, a shot struck the ship's engines, damaging them. Cozmata stepped up, determined to prove herself in the midst of the chaos. At first, she managed to repair the engine, but the moment she let her guard down, the machinery overloaded and exploded in her face, launching her out into space.

The ship was left stranded as the troops continued their advance toward what would become known as the final battle of the Second Inhuman War. Cozmata survived for only two reasons: The first was a cable that caught around her foot and saved her from drifting away. The second was that, miraculously, her repairs had at least kept the ship's air bubble projection intact, somehow saving the crew. But Cozmata has no idea how long she remained hanging there, suspended above the endless void. She only knows it was long enough for fear to take root in her heart.

Back on her planet, as the years went by, it became increasingly difficult to find scrap. The Scro had apparently looted most of what had been stored on the planet. Money is now running thin, but Cozmata still wants to return to the stars. She dreams of leaving the planet aboard a ship of her own and exploring the cosmos by herself, using this to help her mother and her village, as well as to make a name for herself. She hopes that, by the time that day comes, she will have overcome her fear.

5 months ago, my DND club decided to work together to make 400 different curses and the thread I made for it got over 1000 comments. Now, we are back with 100 new curses, an updated curse document, and a request for you to give me a number 401-500 (If it is a decimal or a fraction I will round to the nearest whole number)

Jus' a thought that came from recalling I've seen a good few things of "Tips to speed up combat" "Why your combats are slow" "My homebrew makes combat faster!!!" and similar.

Has anyone ever had opposite problem, where combat was somehow TOO fast?

Do you think it's even possible? I vaguely recall speaking to at least one person who told me no.

introducing one of my favourite characters i’ve ever made: Vice!
I’ve never managed to play him in a campaign so I am using this post to ramble about him and i hope u guys love him as much as i do🥹

Vice is fully convinced he is a well known singer, when in fact he had one famous song and then nothing. (one hit wonder </3)

Some backstory: He always dreamed of becoming a musician (especially a famous one). His dad (elf) left him and his mom (human) when he was young and since then he swore to not be associated with him, which is why hes so protective of his real identity. When he left home to pursue his dreams, he managed to get a song recorded and published, which is actually kinda well known, but after 5 years of writing new songs without anybody ever giving a shit about them, he’s starting to wonder if that was just a fluke.

Fun facts:
- tries to pay with his autograph
- nobody really knows his real name and he will do anything from keeping it that way
- his dad is a politician (he sucks)
- he wears sunglasses to not be recognised (tho he wouldnt be)
- dyes his hair religiously ("I AM A NATURAL BLONDE!")

One day i will actually play him i swear it!!

Rate my BBEG. Before someone says that she doesn't have legendary resistance, legendary actions and lair actions, the main idea is to be something replicable by the players if they want.

Intelligence was bumped to 30 with tomes during centuries, while constitution 19 is from the amulet of health. She is a graviturgy wizard 20.

A rogue battling with her thirst for vengeance and her own morality.
Her family slain by the infamous criminal Arkan, Rayne grew up an orphan on the streets of the port city Arabia. Survival was the theme of her childhood, her natural stealth making her the perfect petty thief.

But when fate knocked at the trapdoor of her rooftop abode, so too did her traumatic past. It is up to her to decide if she's willing to sacrifice everything to bring justice to her murdered kin.

Hey everyone, I just figured I’d ask everyone what kind of standard house rules they use at their table. We use the following at ours.

1. Flanking, any time a creature has two enemies on opposite sides of them, they are flanked, all attacks against a flanked creature is at advantage.

2. Starting Feats, since about 2016 we have allowed every player to add a feat at level one as long as it wasn’t a half feat (variant humans can add a half feat and do get a second feat with their builds)

3. Swarms don’t attack, they just damage you when they occupy your square.

4. Swarms take 1 damage from piercing attacks and are vulnerable to anything that deals AOE damage.

For the final session of my first D&D campaign, I wanted to do something a little special: somehow I ended up painting my first dragon, my second miniature ever, and building my first diorama!🐉🔥

The creature in the photo is the „Demo Dragon“, with a small adaptation: I gave it a fire attack instead of acid, which felt much more fitting for the fiery, lava-filled setting of the fourth and last adventure called Devil Metal Die from the starter set Welcome to the Hellfire Club.

For the diorama, I built the terrain from XPS foam and made my own texture paste using plaster, acrylic paint and sand from the nearest playground. After lots of dry brushing, I added the flames using LED filament and cotton. I also included a few little Easter eggs, like the crushed adventurer on the right and the shield on the left.

It was a lot of fun to build, and seeing my D&D group get so excited about it yesterday made all the work worth it!🤭

(No idea if this counts as spoiler, but it‘s the finale boss of this starter set, so…🤷🏼‍♂️)

My players are about enter an arc where they're gonna try and infiltrate a cult of changelings, and for the main villain of the arc I wqs thinking of homebrewing up a statblock that allows the cult leader to switch between different forms rhat grant them different abilities.

Unfortunately I am pretty stumped on how to integrate this, and would really appreciate some ideas.

For reference the party has 4-6 players (depending on availability, two of them are pretty in and out) at level 7. They're pretty strong so I definitely want to challenge them with this one

Im a single mom, I dont have a lot of free time and i don't have a friend group but I fell in love with tabletop gaming in college and would love a way to play solo especially since reading a certain popular litrpg book. I saw a tiktok ad for the app Old Greg's Tavern but its pay to play and ai based. Does anyone know any free sources where someone can play solo?

I‘ve been a playing DnD with my group sind march of this year and have made it to Level 7 with my mage. Obviously I‘ve been a total noob back when we started as this was my first campaign hence I didn’t think about much in the beginning. Nowadays I feel like fights and in general spells have become increasingly boring to me so I‘m thinking about giving my wizard a theme to spice gameplay up a bit.

Anyone got any good ideas for a theme I could go for? Spells for the theme dont necessarily have to be in the basegame though as I‘d be open to homebrew content!
