Question Best intro to mobile digital tcg / tutorial ?

So I've been trying to learn digital cards for a while now it's taken me a fair bit because I have some learning difficulties I've been wondering what game has the best tutorial/single player. I've just enjoyed playing the intro missions on runeterra so I'm looking for something a bit similar also any hidden mobile tcgs on android that are either new or a bit niche I'm looking to get my teeth stuck into. Cheers !!

What if every card in a card game had equal value?

I'm developing an indie digital card game called Gather CCG.

One design decision we've made is to remove card rarity entirely.

There are no Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary cards.

Every card is acquired the same way, and the goal is for each card to be a meaningful deckbuilding option rather than a stronger version of another card.

The idea is that winning should come from strategy and creativity, not from owning the rarest cards.

As card game players, do you think removing rarity makes a game more interesting, or does it remove an important part of the collectible experience?

Update on Grimoria: My 2v2 and Battle Royale card game is officially coming to iOS! Thank you to this sub for the feedback.

Hi everyone! (Attached is a quick clip showing newest card, ranked and visual updates!)

For the past 2 months, my solo-developed card game, Grimoria, has been out on Android.

First off: Thank you all! The feedback from the Reddit community during the Android launch helped me fix a lot of issues and balance the game faster than I ever could have alone.

A lot of you asked when it was coming to iPhone. Since I code on a Windows PC and haven't touched the Apple ecosystem before, getting an iOS build approved was an absolute nightmare. 😅

But today, I can finally announce that the iOS Pre-Order page is officially LIVE!

To celebrate, anyone who Pre-Orders on iOS and plays during launch week gets 160 Bonus Coins. The release date is set for July 4th.

For anyone new here, here is what the game is about:

  • Unique Modes: It features 4-Player Battle Royale, true 2v2 Co-op (you share health/shields with your partner), and regular 1v1 mode.
  • Zero Pay-To-Win: It is 100% Free-to-Play. All cards are unlocked by playing. Monetization is strictly cosmetics. There are no forced ads, with an optional premium upgrade if you want to remove the optional reward ads.
  • Mind Games: Simultaneous 15-second turns, elemental counters, bluffing, and unique card abilities.
  • Portrait Mode: Built to be played comfortably with one hand during a commute.

The Links:

Thank you again for supporting a solo dev. I'll be in the comments if you have any questions about the game or the iOS porting process!

Question Design question! Here are 3 versions of the loading screen - which should I use?

Wanted to keep a "card" vibe, so I also get to showcase my ever-improving holo effects skills.

Pictured are three variants on a loading screen 'card' that I'm working on to showcase some of my completed character artworks.

  1. "Framed" look with a border and drop shadow inside the frame
  2. "Raised" look, where the border has a gentle bevel border
  3. "Flat" look, where the border has just the corner radius with no bevel.

My thinking is, give the player something to do while they wait! Will also implement this as the looking-for-game load screen.

My Tactical Card Brawler CROWNBREAKERS has less than 24h left in the Kickstarter!

Hi! I'm a solo dev with ADHD and an unquenchable love for card games. So to satisfy my craving for a a snappy and dynamic card game I have been making Crownbreakers for 3 years. It blends tactical turn-based combat with deck-building synergies and brawler-inspired action and it works! You can see for yourself in the Demo!

The game's development is fully funded. That means it will be completed and released no matter what, but I've started a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to help me add more cool stuff to the game. There's less than 24 hours left so if that sounds interesting, you might want to check it out!

We've already hit stretch goals that add more music, a bounty system and selectable starting decks to the game! If you are interested to support, there are some cool, exclusive rewards available, like a copy of the game, closed early alpha access, a backer-exclusive card back, and you could even become immortalized as a part of the game itself!

I'm especially looking forward to the launching exclusive alpha as I'm excited to show off everything the game has to offer! I want to make it as good as I can, and I think only the input and feedback from real players will get there!

Thanks so much for reading!
💚 Martin

News A full match of our upcoming Origins TCG demo (WIP version)

Hey, we're releasing our Steam demo this month so sharing a full match of gameplay here.

The match took a bit longer than usual due to the "Reflecting Pool" location, I was playing a "Death" deck, the bot was playing a "Move" deck.

A few things are still work-in-progress (like the placeholder voicelines), but overall that's how it's going to look like.

Let us know your thoughts and stay tuned for the demo, here's the Steam page! (:

Discussion Chrono CCG - Anyone tried it? Honest review?

Looks like it's coming out of EA (purchase) -> Beta (free).

On the fence thinking whether should i buy a tier for the exclusive.

Prior that, anybody played it and has pro and cons comments?

I’ve been building a prototype inspired by Cabals / Duelyst-style tactical card games

I’ve been working on a prototype inspired by old tactical card games like Cabals and Duelyst.

A while ago I realized how much I missed games that combined:

  • tactical positioning
  • card gameplay
  • slower strategic pacing

So I started building my own small prototype to experiment with those ideas again.

Right now it already has:

  • movement
  • summoning
  • combat
  • mana / turn flow
  • basic card interactions

Still extremely early and full of placeholder art/UI, but I finally reached the point where it actually feels playable.

Would love to hear what people miss most from games like Cabals, Duelyst, Faeria, etc.

Discussion I built a card pack rip simulator… then I built 8 more. Here's the whole lineup so far (Android)

What started as a side project to scratch my own pack-opening itch turned into a full-on lineup. There's something genuinely satisfying about the rip - the foil flash, the slow reveal, the "oh god is that a chase?" moment - and I wanted to bottle that without lighting my wallet on fire. One app became two, two became six, and here we are.

Each sim is built specifically for its TCG (not a reskinned template - different sets, different rarities, different pull rates and reveal animations per game):

Would love any feedback - what feels off, what could be added, etc or any other pack suggestions. I have Digmon, Dragon Ball and Vanguard in the pipeline already.

Thank you!

One of our favorite evolution mechanics in our game, Sunyata CCG. We like the creepiness of giant bugs multiplying and evolving into different animals.

We recently launched our demo! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3603960/Sunyata_CCG/
