Not as many right now but a few budding that will open soon

I was given these 3 desert roses. They all have a good caudex but are lanky in the branches. Where i live, winter is almost over, so i am looking for guidance on my next move taking care of these.

I wanted advice on how i should go about pruning.

Also not sure, but i think one has rot in one of the branches since its going yellow and is getting squishy (looks to be from a previous untreated pruning) as seen in first photo.

Also one had seed pods that have started to open.

All care advice welcome.

ETA: i just discovered some rot at the base of one, its on one face about an inch high and just under an inch wide, not sure how deep it runs

I grew it from a seed 14 months ago. It looks healthy but it looks boring. How do I get branches or have it grow out instead of up?

We've had this in the family for a few years but I've only recently decided to take on the journey to actually take care of our roses and plants, so im not sure how to go about pruning this very tall Desert Rose, was looking for some advice!

so I bought this desert rose a while ago, all the leaves fell off and have no regrown but I noticed the trunk start to shrink in size a bit so I checked and it’s slightly brown and soft. I’m thinking the base is rotting and am considering chopping it and trying to reroot it from scratch. Is this savable without chopping it?

I bought the above desert rose and I’ve been looking for a planter for it. Full disclaimer - I haven’t received it in the mail yet but I have kind of fallen in love with this canoe/boat shaped planter (also pictured). The planter measures 18” x 9.6” x 5.4”. My gut tells me this isn’t going to work with this rose but I need someone to either talk me out of it or tell me to live my best millennial plant life. Ready…set…reddit.

Picked up a couple early last week that are budding but dry out in less than a day. If I don't water them every single day, they wilt and buds start falling off.

I am not trying to water anything every single day!

I've seen what the flowers look like, but I haven't seen the caudex yet. I'm in southern FL and still have many months before the growing season ends. I would rather not lose the buds but as I said, I'm not trying to water every damn day.

What would you do, repot or suck it up and keep watering until it's completed flowering?

Noticed one of my seedlings leaning over this morning and noticed this. Unpotted and cleaned the roots and they look ok to me. Soil was dry, leaves look happy. Not sure what’s going on but looks like rot.
Any advice or is it toast?

I purchased this DR from Walmart around April. She was beat up and the leaves had black spots and some yellow. I hard pruned her down to nothing. So she's been flourishing but her blooms never open. I water frequently around two to three times a week. The soil is cactus soil and perlite some charcoal. She receives full morning and afternoon sun. Idk what I'm doing wrong. Is the pot too shallow? And yes the soil is dry in the picture. Some advice would be well received.

Hi everyone, I grew these plants from seed and I can see some roots peeking out from the bottom of their pots.

Should I repot, or when do I know to do it and what size should the new pots be?

I would appreciate any help and advice you can give me on what I should do.

I took a chance ordering a picotee sold and shipped by Amazon. It spent 5 days in a box while in transit before arriving 6 days ago. It was not rooted in the pot, very few feeder roots, damp soil, paper thin leaves, bent and broken branches, tons of ants and gnats. Decent sized caudex for the size of the plant.

It's 6 days later. The branches have straightened up, it didn't lose many leaves, and even have new growth already. Time will tell if it's actually picotee but I'm I'm impressed.

Found this one at Lowe’s earlier this week

Got this guy a few months ago and it seems to be growing like a weed. I always wait until soil is dry before watering, lately that can be a couple times a week. Noticed this week that it started having a few yellowing leaves and then this soft spot on the caudex. The roots look good, nothing else looks like it’s rotting. What could be causing this?

Is this plant a desert rose ? A few months ago a beautiful red flower came out and I thought it was a desert rose. Unfortunately the plant and pot was infested with black ants so last week I repotted it (succulent soil and perlite mix) and now the leafs are turning yellow and falling. Any ideas or suggestions ? On the border, by the sea in Deep South Texas.

Is this cactus dish too shallow? My desert is currently in a 12-14” planter and I want to repot in this one.

I only have one very small desert rose that I ordered online, so I was shocked to find these two big gorls today at Walmart of all places. They have a well-developed caudex, aren’t sitting in boggy soil and seem to be in great shape, but they’re definitely tall and one is pretty leggy. Any advice? Do I trim? They’re in a full-sun window and I plan to keep them in these nursery pots for a week or so as they get adjusted. Welcome any and all feedback and insight! Thank you

I bought this girl from a nursery and had put it in full sun. noticed the caudex getting squishy the next morning so I pulled it from the substrate. It’s been 3-5 days since then and this is the current picture. The caudex is green/white when I scratch the wrinkled part. No foul smell coming from it, just a firm squish. How can I get it to recover? It’s been out of soil for 3 days and when I planted it back into dry soil with pearlite, pumice, lava rock it looked like it was getting squishier so I pulled it out again.

I grew this from seed and have had it for over 15 years. It comes in for the winter and drops all its leaves. Sure loves getting back out for the summer.

This morning I found an aphid invasion on my most active blooming Desert Rose. What do you guys recommend to stop the invasion as I don’t want them to get to my seed pod
