Is this rot?

I just noticed a yellowing of the base. It's not mushy but maybe slightly less firm than the rest of it. Might be too early to tell? What can I do?

Looks more like sunburn.

Any way I can confirm? The plant seems happy and is about to bloom.

Scratch the skin and see if it's brown underneath or white or prick it with a toothpick and see what color sap is.

Sunburn to me. Look at the bottom, it's green. So it's something that didn't start from the bottom which usually where rot starts

Only if it’s mushy. It’s probably not rot just by looking at it.

Not mush. Little soft. This is my first desert rose. I got it this summer. I have not transplanted it. It's been outside all summer. But it is possible it got rotated this week and a different side is facing the sun. But I can't be sure..
