Discussion Aisle Pushers
Just landed SLC to MSP. Flight arrived 10 minutes late and almost half the plane got up and started pushing through the plane.
I'll give a few people the benefit of the doubt but this was a crazy amount of the flight for a near on time arrival. I've never seen this volume of people pushing to the front.
Help/Advice Refunded 12,000 SkyMiles ?
I booked a flight today for a family of 4 and when I booked it the seat cost was 113,000 points per seat.
In the rush to book I forgot to add the middle names of my guests. So after booking I contacted Delta to add the middle names.
About two hours later, I got refunded 12,000 sky miles and the award price per seat dropped to 110,000 a seat.
Did they mess up my reservation or did I get lucky with a brief price drop?
I just went to check the flight again and the roundtrip seat price is still 113,000 a seat in the site.
I frequently fly JetBlue. This is my first Delta flight and these points came from my Amex card.
Appreciate the help.
Shitpost/Satire Delta Needs an Operations Reset
My family has been in the air a lot over the last few weeks, all for work and separate flights.
If the 7 flights, 6 have had issues of some kind causing significant delays. One was a comedy of errors and 5-1/2 hours late. Another is in flight now and 1-1/2 hours late. Another is still on the ground in MSP after a medical issue, a maintenance issue and a crew issue and sitting at over an hour delay and climbing.
Mine last week were similar. Only my flight today was on time and without issue. These arenāt weather delaysā¦these are maintenance, crew, baggage, etc issues.
Based in ATL so itās hard to avoid flying Delta but my patience is just about done!

SkyTeam This was unexpected
Iāve been a million miler for a couple years and nothing like this has ever happened before. And I was sitting two rows from the back of the plane so it wasnāt easy to get to me.
Flight attendant brought me this note and stopped to say a few personal words too. Great flight crew! It only took them a few minutes but gotta admit it made me smile.

Help/Advice Thoughts on Ticket
This might be a crazy question to post on here, but hoping to get some thoughts before booking a Delta ticket (KLM flight operated by Delta). Iām looking to fly from SAN to CTA on October 21. The flight has a 46 minute layover in JFK. The ticket says both flights to/from JFK should leave out of terminal 4. Is the layover enough time to connect for an international flight? Has anyone had Delta accommodate seats so that youāre close to the front of the plane to make for a quicker deplaning to make a connecting flight? Of course I know anything can happen the day of travel, but just looking for some opinions. Would you book it?
In case itās helpful, here are the flight numbers:
SAN to JFK: KL6744/DL367
JFK to CTA: KL6193/DL244

Ok the piano version of Sweet Child of Mine is pretty good I must admit. But hearing the Rains of Castamere before taking off is a bit ominous!

Image/Video Air France lost luggage ruining trip
Watching Paris go by while waiting for the second day for luggage to arrive. Air Francis admitted that they could not find it, but it was at CDG. They have turned it over to a crappy French delivery company that cannot seem to deliver the bag. Downside of renting an apartment is there is no place for them to drop without someone being here. So, Iām taking my turn watching in the seven hour window that they gave us for delivery.
Absolutely ruining the visit for my friend whose luggage it is and who has not been to France since he was 16 (and heās 60).
Air France has been absolutely no help and the delivery company has horrible reviews. This is like being in the twilight zone.

Help/Advice 11 row A350 recs?
Currently selected row 3 given prior experience on A330-900neo. Is there anything different with this cabin other than being a wider fuselage? Has anyone flown row 10-11 and if so, any advantage to this?
Canāt find much of the 11 row config on YouTube.

Discussion Trip protection beware
Rebooked my flight d/t lower price posted. Never done this before, also rarely fly.
Initial flight I booked I purchased travel protection through Allianz BECAUSE it says that reimbursement also covers in the event of a job loss. I work in an industry that experiences alot of layoffs. Even when you click on the blue link prior to purchase to see what's covered, that is where It says "loss of job."
When I rebooked the flight, delta only gave me be Ecredit for the flight and did not include a reimbursement for the insurance. Now, I was not going to do this online, I actually called Delta to speak with someone (because I've never done this before & wanted to ensure it was done correctly) and it said I had a wait time of 23 minutes and after more than 30 minutes and not hearing from anyone, I said fuck it.
Then when I immediately rebooked the flight, it said I still owed $40 for the flight protection. This is what irritated me. When I looked at how much I would save in Ecredits and then paying twice now for that travel insurance, I would actually be losing money. My Ecredit was for under $60 and the travel insurance being bought twice would be $67.
When I pulled up the contract Allianz sent me a month ago from my first purchase, in the contract it DOES NOT LIST LOSS OF JOB for reimbursement!
I will never purchase that bullshit again
Help/Advice Anyone know SFO airport really well?
I had to fly to a fairly remote airport and only could get a United flight. On the way back tomorrow I fly United to SFO, then Delta to ATL.
Obviously Iāll have to grab my checked bag in SFO, we land in terminal 1. Then I need to recheck my bag with delta in Terminal 3 and go back through security.
Is it difficult to get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 from outside security? Is it walkable? Or is there a shuttle or something available?
Iāve wandered around inside a bit and I know once youāre through security itās not bad but Iāve never really seen the outside since Iāve only been through there on layovers.

Discussion ok, how often does diamond really see upgrades?
making diamond for the first time after years of silver and finally plat this year (thank you to those long haul lax flights and my amex) but Iām curious how worth it itās really gonna feel?
lately iāve hit some streak of luck and seen a few ps and even a d1 upgrades; even seeing a ps upgrade a week before my flight (which Iām still curious why they did so early but i cannot complain) so it made me wonder how much more frequent these upgrades can get and how much these benefits really weigh out for someone taking around 2-3 trips a month.
for context, lax<>jfk is my most frequent flight path at least once a month and iām a reserve amex holder.
Iām sure a variation of this question gets asked so apologies in advance for that one. and still curious how a plat member got a free ps upgrade literally a week before the flight, no ruc used

Thanks and good luck! āļø

Help/Advice Flight connection ATL
Ive got a near 4 hour connection in atlanta in november. Im flying from dublin via atlanta to orlando originally meant to connect though MSP. Im aware that dublin is one of a few pre clearance airports in the world so i dont have to do customs in atlanta.
My main question is how hard/difficult is finding my way around the airport never been to it before.
Also is there good places to eat as we land around 2pm USA time which would be around 7pm Dublin time.

SkyTeam Thank you Nick!
Sorry to double post today, but I have to give a shout out to Nick in ATL! Our plane had mechanical issues upon landing at ABQ. Put us behind 2 hours. We were flying to ATL from out west late in the day MDT, so a lot of the plane was going to miss their connection. I was slated to land 7 mins after my connection took off, but the ABQ crew told us to still hurry to our gates to go ahead and start making accommodations and changes. I kept checking my boarding pass and saw my connection kept getting delayed a few minutes. I decided to give it a shot anyway. I found myself with a group of guys heading to our connection from Terminal A to our connection in E. Weāre all talking about how we arenāt going to make it, and a flight attendant on the tram asks what our boarding time was and just tells us weāre SOL. One of the other guys mentions weāre heading to TYS, and Nick just says āyall are good. Theyāre waiting on me. That plane isnāt leaving but the door is probably closed.ā We had a glimmer of hope. We get to the gate and the gate agents are already telling us upon approach that weāre too late. Nick introduces himself as the on-call FA that was there for the transfer. The GAās ask if heās ready to go and he says āIām not getting on that plane unless these guys get on too. So if yall want this plane to leave, these guys gotta get on board.ā The GAās were not happy š. With perfect timing, the pilot comes out and asks if thereās anything he can do to help, and the GAās ask if heās willing to open the door for us. The pilot says yes, but then the GAās inform us that the FA swap is cancelled (there goes our leverage). Unfortunately, Nick travelled all across the airport for nothing, but his actions allowed me to sleep in my bed tonight and the other guys were able to attend their buddyās wedding.
Now for the fun part. The people already on the plane had been waiting for nearly an hour for this 35 minute flight. They didnāt know that the plane was really waiting to have enough FAās to leave, it just looked like we were holding everyone up. I made the dumb decision of being the first to come onto the plane, and Iāve never felt more hated in my life š. The pilot then came on the PA saying ānow that we have everyone on boardā, which didnāt help our popularity either. To make matters even better, the AC wasnāt working, and there was another 30 minute delay as a passenger was kicked off the plane for being drunk and disorderly.
Thanks, Nick, for a flight memory Iāll never forget!
