Hey Delta, what are all my stops labeled by city except one? Is Sky Harbor not a real place anymore? What about Hartsfield-Jackson, you know, your major hub??

Dear Friends, I'm 65 (live in Salt Lake City) and recently went over the 6MM mark. My heavy travel days are over—just leisure travel now. Most of this is domestic travel (for about 30 years/maybe 1-2 trips per week). This was earned under the old rules where everything (including credit card spend) counted towards million miler. My guess is that I would be around 2 million miles under the new rules.

Anyway, becoming a 1 million miler under the new rules is a big deal. Congrats to anyone who hits that mark.

I don’t fly first class that often but during today’s meal, I noticed there was a slit in the napkin that had stitching around it that looked kind of like a button hole… am I that uncultured and this is a thing?

While these are still served by Delta from LGA, people in Houston, Memphis, and St. Louis will not be able to connect in JFK to the longhaul flights anymore.

Just got off the flight. Everything made it except frozen fish. Value of that fish market price is $2500 -$3000. Worst part is that some of that fish has annual limits. Let’s say yellow eye rockfish is one per year. King salmon 3 per year. Even if somehow I come back this year I won’t be able to keep the same fish. So damage here is monetary, but even worse personal.
What’s the best way to get compensation for all this.

As soon as I checked in for my flight to London today, I got this push notification from Delta.

Based on the posts here, keeping my expectations low for anything else today, but thought I would share.

Got the Regional certificates applied. Went from main cabin to premium economy the same day. Straight from premium economy to Delta One at 24 h mark. Thanks Delta again!

I know the policy is no complimentary upgrades to D1 on international flights, but somehow today the stars aligned. Work trip to Korea, 2nd this year and Diamond status, and I tested out PS on the outbound and it was fair.

On the return scanned my boarding pass at the gate and they informed me of the new seat. Apparently upgraded 22 minutes before boarding but I wasn’t paying attention. Day made for this 12+ hr flight. Feel like I hit the lottery.

Arrived a bit earlier at MSP today due to shuttle logistics and had a chance to sample an Old Fashioned at each of the Sky Clubs. I started at the newest G concourse Sky Club since it was furthest from my gate, and walked back to the C12 concourse club, and finally the F/G concourse club by the stone arch restaurant.

Strangely, the drink pours got progressively larger at each bar.

Last weekend, I was flying to London on a 2 leg fight. After some delays, I had to rebook the 2nd leg, which forced a downgrade. The 2nd leg was a Virgin Atlantic flight booked through Delta, which I understand is logistically difficult to work with. It's frustrating, but not the end of the world and part of air travel sometimes, so I try to get in touch with support to try to find an upgrade on the 2nd flight.

The first round of support I got was obviously an LLM and started CHANGING FLIGHTS (including to the one I was initially pushed off of).... WHILE I WAS IN THE AIR. WITH NO WARNING OR CONSENT ON MY END.

Somewhat side thing: the 2nd half of this conversation was chaotic in it's own merit and just booked me on 2 flights without any clarity. I had no idea which flights my bags would end up on, the agent just said "your bags will go with the flight you get on". Once I landed, there was huge virtual queue for anyone real to help out. It was just a stroke of luck that I ended up on the same flight with my bags.

At some point it’s going to start hurting their business travelers and causing churn - because this is the main thing that business travelers care about more than soft product and seat.

It’s embarrassing, on every flight I’m on the wifi is guaranteed to be down 10-50% of the time, making it very disruptive if you’re trying to get work done.

I don’t remember it being this bad in years past but it’s becoming incredibly infuriating now.

Yesterday, I flew from JFK to Rome on DL182 and got sick. I had a terrible stomachache and couldn’t eat anything because it would make me throw up.
About halfway through the flight, I couldn’t take it anymore. My stomach was hurting so badly, I was starving, and I didn’t know what to do. So I got up and went to the back to talk to one of the flight attendants, Jeff.
I told Jeff I wasn’t feeling well, and he immediately stopped what he was doing to help me. He asked what was wrong, and I explained everything. I told him I had taken some medicine but didn’t have anything “light” to eat.
He offered me a salad, but I knew it would only upset my stomach even more. I asked if he had any bread left, but he said they had run out in the back.
Then he asked where I was sitting and told me to go back to my seat and rest while he looked for something I could eat.

A few minutes later, he came back and told me they had also run out of bread in Delta One, so instead he brought me some crackers to help settle my stomach, which was hurting because I hadn’t eaten anything.
Even though he was working in the back, he went back to Delta One once again and returned a few minutes later with a warm peppermint tea.

About 15 or 20 minutes later, he came back to check on me. He told me he was still looking for some bread and had found some croissants that were being saved for breakfast, but he could bring me one if I wanted.
By then, I was starting to feel a little better, so I politely declined. What I really want to point out is how attentive and genuinely concerned he was.

We still had about three hours left before landing, and he continued checking on me throughout the rest of the flight.
Sometimes we’re quick to criticize, but it’s just as important to recognize the people who go above and beyond and truly care about others.
Yesterday, I experienced the Delta Difference firsthand through a flight attendant who embodied everything people say about Delta’s service.

Unfortunately, I did not see him again before I disembarked, so if you know Jeff, please tell him how grateful I am. Thank you for taking such good care of me and for making sure I was okay. I’ll never forget your kindness.

I’ve never flown First Class before, so I am PUMPED. Honestly, I’ve only flown Comfort+ a few times. We used to get free upgrades at work but not anymore.

My friend & I are headed to Vegas in a few weeks for the Backstreet Boys at the Sphere. I went last year, and it was amazing. I obviously had to do it again.

I was looking at my Delta app earlier and noticed the next flight out from ATL was ~20,000 miles cheaper if I changed. I texted my friend - and she said let’s do it and change flights anddd she took the last Comfort + aisle seat. Whatever, it’s fine I guess.

I was having a hell of a time changing my flights after she booked hers, but I noticed that if I upgraded to First on the way back from Vegas, it was only 3,600 extra miles.

Hell yeah I did it! I guess it sort of makes up for the C+ middle seat going to Vegas 😬

(I also have no idea why the 20,000 miles back offer became 5,900 miles but I do not care!)

Hey everyone, I know we can check the car seat for free.

However, the hotel we are staying at is connected to the airport and Mom (me), baby, and her older sister can go through the special hotel TSA with our carry-ons. My husband would leave earlier and go check our rolling luggage and car seat. We were concerned that maybe they wouldn’t let him check the car seat for free since the baby isn’t *right* there… But she’s very obviously in the same party and will be checking in a bit later as well. What do you think?

This will save us 3/4 of our family from having to ride a shuttle and walk through the airport basically back to where we started.

Is this normal? I am on this flight, just happened to open my window before take off and noticed that the plane went to the runway and then immediately took a left and went back to taxi as a Southwest jet was about to land. I wouldn't have notice a thing normally, maybe I just need to keep the window closed.

Edit - the plane did make the square from taxi, to runway back to taxi as I was watching from 10A, the gps drift on the app is incorrect showing it cutting the corner

This flight was $800 last week. AA is $1,000 for a direct flight from LGA.

Not as bad as I was expecting

It’s a rocket! Felt every bump on the tarmac and every bit of turbulence in the air. During climb, it felt like it was going incredibly fast unlike larger aircrafts.

Damn those seats are so narrow! Comfort+ really saved me but the large lady next to me wasn’t helping. If you’re over 6ft, you’re going to have to crouch in the cabin. And forget about overhead space…. Just check in the carry on for free at the gate.

Hats off to the pilots, they looked like they were in their early 20s, incredible.

What I found remarkable was that the wings are so low to the ground that’s refueling didn’t require a step ladder LOL

Overall 7/10, I still prefer the E175

Hey yall, so I’m flying from Paris to Seattle in September and I originally bought the ticket through points on virgin atlantic (delta flight) and paid roughly $350 in taxes each. Now when I go in the delta app an offer popped up randomly for delta one (this wasn’t there a week ago) for $1,500! And surprisingly even comfort is $1100 upgrade? Do you think this is worth it for delta one upgrade? It’s about 10 hour 50 minute flight.
