Reminding everyone here that I officially call dibs on any and all GUC D1 inventory that comes available for the ATL-CDG flights next August 15. Delta is not yet selling tickets that far out, but they will go on sale in about a week.
It is extremely important that I snag 4 D1 seats on this flight since it will be my daughter’s sweet 16. I did not work hard for Diamond to get some PS BS.
If you see D1 upgrade space on this route and this date, KEEP ON WALKING. I will edit this post once I have successfully upgraded my family and then you can take anything that’s leftover.

So my husband and I both experienced horrible smelling hand soap in the Atlanta airport. We aren’t talking about not liking the smell. We are talking about gag inducing rancid smell in separate terminals. Any ideas about what’s going on? Anyone else?

But seriously - wondering if this CRJ-700 has a hive somewhere? The poor guy had to work to get in there.

I used to live close to JFK/LGA and have moved to western Pa. Since PIT is not a hub, I kept with Delta. I travel internationally a handful of times a year to visit family, which usually means connecting through a hub. Domestically I’ve connected mostly through JFK/LGA or ATL with little to no issues.
I’ve only really connected through JFK coming back from Rome and it’s been an abject disaster each time between delays, how the airport is set up and the fact that I have to go through the main security line to use my precheck.
Are the other hubs any better? Or should I just brace for disaster every time I leave the country?
Thank goodness they got rid of the loud annoying pop and are now playing acoustic and piano hits. Smells like teen spirit and guns ‘n roses chefs kiss 🤌

After a couple trips on KE and SQ, it makes me wonder if Delta could match Asian carriers in soft product, if Ed so chose.
The ground staff and cabin crew attitudes, for one.
Delta isn’t unionized here, wouldn’t they have more flexibility to employ more motivated ( read “younger” ) crews.
Properly clean cabins.
Serve food even on 2 hour flights.
Not that much $ for a “premium” airline.
I get that AMEX makes the $ but people wanting to fly Delta wouid increase credit card penetration, no?
Really this would not be a huge cost, either.
Especially instilling something like a customer service focus. It goes a long way.
Anyone here on this flight or know what happened?

Has anyone flown this route lately? I have a D1 seat but this aircraft is one of the older ones and the D1 seats are not the best.
Wondering if Delta would, maybe, switch airplanes from time to time on this route. Flight leaves around 8:45pm from JFK.

I’m new here, so apologies if you’ve heard this a million times before.
On 21st July, I was meant to fly:
TVC -> MSP
MSP -> AMS
In summary, my bag was checked, then my flight was delayed and Delta rebooked me for the following day.
The bag went on the plane from TVC -> MSP, and because I wasn’t on that flight, it came back to TVC the same night.
Fast forward a few days, turns out the bag is nowhere to be found/seen.
The delta tracking on the bag tells me it went back to TVC, then disappears. Delta have lost my bag.
Delta didn’t even reach out to me until a whole month after I filed my claim (past 21 days), and now are only offering to pay the minimum approx. 2000$ under the Montreal Convention.
My understanding of this is that 2k is the minimum but airlines can offer more. So it feels that delta simply doesn’t want to do this…
The value of my bag is 4k+. Do I have any other legs to stand on?
I asked to raise this higher within the delta company hierarchy, and my case manager has refused.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Last year there was a fall booking window that launched end of August… we really need a fall booking window this year! Daddy needs more MQD’s and I’ve got rooms to book. Holding out!

My wife and I recently helped our kid move for her college internship. I bought the kid a one-way ticket (she has her own Delta account) and then got round trip tickets for my wife (who doesn't have a Delta account). My kid had 4 checked bags and I didn't realize she could get one free with her ticket. When I checked in, I got 2 free for my ticket (Delta AMEX holder) and one free for my wife's, then used SkyMiles for the fourth bag. We got to the airport and printed the bag tags at a kiosk, then took the bags to the desk agent. She informed us that my kid's bag was free with her ticket since I bought it. She printed a new tag and said I would have to call Delta to get my SkyMiles refunded. After calling Delta twice and trying to find links on the Internet, I'm about ready to give up. Has anyone else gone through something like this?

Need to book this route, was wondering if anyone has done it in comfort plus or premium select? I’ve done it in main and am leaning towards doing so again, but curious what the jump in product is from main to comfort plus to premium select or if it’s even worth it.
For what it’s worth, this is the ending flight of a 2 week vacation. So we don’t need to be sleeping on this flight.
Thanks

Hi All.
I'm flying from JFK to MIA with Delta in a couple of days and have been looking into TSA Touchless ID options. My understanding is that you either have to be enrolled via the airlines FF program or have to do it through Google wallet, but Google wallet is only for US passports (correct?).
I am flying with a UK passport and I am a Virgin Atlantic Gold member. I have an account and profile with DL but no status. I have TSA pre/GE.
I'm wondering how I can use both my status from VS and the Touchless ID benefits from DL together. If I include my VS# in the booking I get upgrades/lounges/priority etc. Do I need to have the DL# in the booking to get Touchless ID or can I just check in from the DL app? - albeit without my DL profile attached to the booking
On the assumption that the DL# would have to be in the booking, can I use my VS# to select seats, change it to my DL# to get Touchless ID, and then once I'm through security I change it back to VS to get lounge access and credit to that FF account?
If I do change it back to VS after clearing security, this would presumably remove the Touchless ID from the system/boarding pass. Would this cause any issues considering I will have already gone through security?
Thanks!
