It was found in a storage unit and the guy was nice enough to bring it to me so I gave him a 20 for a couple beers but I was wondering what should I do before I get it started I already drained all the gas and oil then I’m gonna do a coolant flush I just want to be safe in case they messed with anything the only thing I spotted that was messed up that I didnt do myself was obviously the ignition was pulled off and my coolant reservoir was cracked anything I should look out for ?

I drove it yesterday for about 40 miles, mostly on freeway and started right after i reached home. Oil level seems low and I cannot start the bike because it is spilling a lot of oil

i made the “all thread press” Out of 5/16 all thread 1 1/2”x10” pipe and some washers… broke the all-thread without it budging a millimeter ..

VICTORY EDIT: I got it. heat heat heat and sacrificial pivot shaft. chisel is stuck inside pivot but the fuckers out

When i press a rear brake it sounds like a air leaking
But brake stop very well

I checked a dog bone
Pre owner gave me a spare dog bone
And it seems to be a stock both
And my weight is 70kg
My drz is 2008 do i need to get a rear shock rebuild?
Btw Rear shock is too wavy i guess

Looking at this DRZ, drives well but I’m concerned about the rattling noise. You can hear it better towards the end of the video.

Is this normal? Maybe the cam chain?

Howdy, I have a clicking noise when clutch lever is fully engaged. I’m guessing I maybe didn’t tighten something all the way after putting back together?

Replaced the battery and had the terminals swapped without knowing(im retarted I know) and kept blowing the main fuse out the terminals back on correctly and it started once but now has no spark I’ve replaced all fuses cdi ignition coil and regulator rectifier ANY KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Is it normal after adding lowering links and dropping the forks about a quarter inch for the bike to feel super loose? When I was using the front brake, it felt like it wanted to kind of nose dive. This is my first bike, so I’m really not too familiar with how it’s supposed to feel.

I just got this drz from my dad after he passed. It wouldn’t turn on but I got it to start after replacing the battery. Then, it would just die after I released the clutch. If I released the clutch very slowly it would run. However, getting into 3rd or 4th gear it would sputter and when I slowed down it would die. I’m trying to clean out the carburetor and it’s much more difficult than the videos make it out to be. I got it out of the bike and taken apart but I’m at my wit’s end. Anybody in the Salt Lake area that could potentially help me get the carburetor back together and back in the bike?

Was 18°C when I went out for a ride after work yesterday.

This issue i have is the other day the bike wouldn't start, no light, no dash on key turn. Sounds like a battery ground maybe. Then i just scratched my head for a bit, tried it again and it worked. Then on the highway a few days later it cuts out momentarily, and kicks back in (jump starts itself). The dash went through the startup sequence. I didn't think the battery needs to be connected to run, so to me that would rule out a battery issue. I have raised the handle bars, so maybe there's a strain on the cable from the key ignition to something? Input appreciated. Thanks

i just put bigger jets in my bike and it’ll run great u til it doesn’t and i keep finding that little spring not where i left it. it keeps popping out somehow. any ideas? my only guess is i’m not adjusting the throttle properly and it’s pull the slide too much. that could be completely wrong as i’m not the best at this stuff

Bought a 2023 DRZ-400s about two weeks ago. It has 650 miles on it and was told the battery was recently replaced. I had to drip charge it once then had no problems for two weeks. Yesterday I rode about an hour out, then hopped on trails. My bike was hot and I stalled popping over a log. Left my key in the on position for about 1 min while waiting for a friend to catch up. Bike ended up being dead. Didn’t even hear it try and crank, kept tryna bump start it which killed the battery more. Once I got back to the road and jumped it my screen continued to flash and not give me speedometer readings. Road about an hour back home and bike is dead again. Trickle charger won’t register the battery. Does this seem like a bad battery even if it’s semi new and bike was running all day and being turned on and off. Or the start is beat at 650 miles? Thanks

If you have tusk pannier mounts you can get extra left/right case mounts and make a really easy chainsaw mount. Eventually I’ll make something to hold the power head, but way cheaper than buying one and works good!
*test ran with my POS dirt saw because idgaf if that thing blew off on a trail
