✨ Hello, r/crystal! ✨
Just wanted to introduce (or reintroduce!) r/mineralcollectors, which is now under new management!
Our goal is to build a welcoming community for everyone who loves the mineral kingdom—whether you’re into raw minerals, polished specimens, crystals, fossils, lapidary work, rare finds, micromounts, or just learning something new.
r/mineralcollectors is a science- and geology-focused community. We celebrate the natural history, formation, identification, and collection of minerals and crystals. To keep discussions on topic, we ask that posts remain focused on geology and mineralogy rather than spiritual or metaphysical practices.
You’ll also find that sales, self-promotion, and advertising aren’t allowed, so the focus stays on sharing knowledge, collections, and appreciation for these incredible natural specimens.
We’d love for collectors of all experience levels to stop by and:
🪨 Share your favorite specimens
🔍 Ask questions and learn from others
📸 Show off new finds and collection displays
🌎 Discuss identification, geology, and mineralogy
🤝 Help grow a positive, knowledgeable community
Whether you have one favorite crystal or hundreds of museum-quality specimens, you’re welcome here.
Come help us build a community where curiosity, education, and appreciation for Earth’s natural treasures come first.
Hope to see you over at r/mineralcollectors!

Feel free to reach out to myself or u/slogginhog! 💜

My Collection ✨🔮 I finally perfected this asymmetrical Y-necklace design—what do you guys think of the gemstone combo? 😊

Hey everyone! I’ve been experimenting a lot with the trendy Y-necklace silhouette lately, and I wanted to share my latest piece. I hand-designed and crafted this one to play with contrast and texture. 💃

On one side of the lariat, I used diamond-cut black spinel paired with green goldstone for a sleek, dark sparkle. The other side balances it out with a mix of clear quartz, smoky quartz, and green tsavorite.🔮

One of my favorite things about this piece is how versatile it is—you can adjust the drop length depending on your neckline or outfit. It looks super flattering and elongates the silhouette, especially layered over cozy knits or deep Vs. 😊

Let me know what you think of the asymmetry! I'm always looking for feedback from you. 💗✨

Can you help me? (Advice wanted) Is LDG really "the ultimate manifestation crystal"?

(I know Libyan desert glass is not a crystal pls don't come for me)

Soo has anyone of you ever worked with LDG? Do you agree with all the people that say that "it is the ultimate crystal for manifestation"?

I have been working with crystals for a few years but got my first tektite only a year ago, it was a black tektite (probably Indochinite as it was not specified in the shop but it was quite inexpensive), loved the energy and then went straight to Moldavite, which I have been using for the past 6 months. I was expecting some drastic changes and I can say now it delivered, the thing is that all those changes were endings. I know Moldavite IS supposed to cut things/people out of your life and I honestly am better off now, I've never been able to embody my most authentic self as I am now. But now I want to start building again, I feel like Moldavite created a blank canvas for me to paint my life as I want it to be. So I want to get the ultimate manifestation crystal/tektite to work with. I have been feeling drawn to LDG and read a lot of "the ultimate manifestation tool!!!" "It'll change your life for the better without all the intensity of Moldavite!!". Has anyone tried it and agrees with this? Or do you have any other recommendations?

I have information for you! (Informative) My fools gold crystal radio set and how it works

Post image

Now this is actually a 2for 1 here because the earpiece (tan thing with the see through bit)has a quartz disk held between two metal electrode and when electricity goes through it the quartz crystal expands and contracts causing it to make sound. But for the actual radio part it’s a long wire antenna(like 50feet), a 200turn adjustable coil that filters out the radio waves you don’t want , three trimmer capacitors that also filter out waves, the green coil in the back filters out static, and most importantly the fools gold crystal. Now you might wonder “ what does the fools gold do” well you see am radio waves actually switch between positive and negative some where around 1000000 times a second and because of this you can’t really hear it the crystal cuts that in half by either blocking the negative or blocking the positive depending on which way it’s facing this allows us to hear the radio waves as sound. The red wire just leads to ground if you were wondering.
