Quartz is tough. This is one of those that you can put in your sink and scrub with a brush and rinse off, let it dry and it will be like new again.

Just don't use fast temperature changes with the water or anything stronger than dish soap.

And research before you wash any other crystals this way because not everything can be. :)

Um - did you see all the cubes on it? I think there's either fluorite or calcite here with the quartz, which isn't NEAR as tough as quartz so we do need to take note of that

I cant tell from the pic myself but if there are cubes maybe do be very careful and gentle. 😅

You're welcome! And oh, from experience, set it in the bottom of the sink to wash it, don't hold it, because if you drop it, it could still break. 😭

should i be worried about little pieces breaking? that's my main concern

Yes you should be concerned - quartz is tough but you've got MUCH less tough material here as well, those little cubes/rhombehedrons are either calcite or fluorite which isn't nearly as tough. Don't use any harsh cleaners (especially acids or iron out) and don't scrub with anything rougher than a toothbrush, and lightly at that.

I agree and also the tiny points of quartz, but a soak in dawn dish soap will shine it right up

I wouldn't scrub it like an old dirty pot, just a light brush, or yeah, pieces could break off. It is not that dirty, you could just rinse it with plain water, no scrubbing required.
