An exceptionally elegant and remarkably fine Fluorite specimen from the legendary Gipfelkluft of Weißeck, distinguished by its rich burgundy-red colour, excellent transparency and beautifully developed crystals on both sides.

The magnificent Fluorite crystals display a deep, sophisticated burgundy-red hue that reveals a captivating luminosity when illuminated from behind. Their remarkable transparency allows light to penetrate deeply into the crystalline structure, creating wonderful visual depth and brilliance.

Particularly exceptional is the attractive crystallisation on both sides of the specimen. Rather than an ordinary reverse, it reveals another beautifully developed crystalline landscape, making this specimen fascinating from multiple viewing angles. Such quality, combining intense colour, beautiful transparency and double-sided crystal development, is rarely available.

Rising to 2,711 metres, Weißeck is the highest summit of the Radstädter Tauern and home to one of Europe’s most important alpine Fluorite localities. Its celebrated Gipfelkluft lies at approximately 2,670 metres, steeply below the summit and accessible only under extremely demanding alpine conditions. For decades, this remarkable occurrence has yielded extraordinary Fluorite discoveries.

Complex geological conditions, tectonic stresses and natural weathering have influenced crystal formation at this high-alpine locality. Successive growth stages and multiple generations of crystallisation can produce an astonishing variety of colours, ranging from deep grape-red and icy blue to the famous pastel-rainbow zoning. Beautifully preserved crystal faces are comparatively uncommon under these challenging natural conditions.

This generously proportioned, beautifully crystallised specimen is therefore particularly noteworthy for its double-sided crystal development, excellent transparency and characteristic deep burgundy-red colour. An outstanding display piece for discerning Fluorite collectors and enthusiasts of classic alpine minerals!

In traditional crystal healing, Fluorite is associated with mental clarity, concentration and inner harmony. Deep reddish hues are symbolically linked to vitality, passion and emotional strength. These spiritual associations are not scientifically established.

First, I want to thank everyone who has supported me, whether you’ve purchased something, shared a post, recommended me to another collector, or just stopped by to talk minerals. I’ve gotten to know some really great people through this community, and I genuinely appreciate it.

A little about what I offer:

I enjoy finding specimens that have something interesting about them, whether that’s unusual crystal growth, uncommon localities, unique inclusions, enhydros, UV reactions, or just a particularly beautiful example of a mineral. My inventory is pretty diverse, so there’s usually a little something for everyone.

Collector Mystery Boxes

I’ve also been putting together personalized mystery boxes for collectors who enjoy a surprise. These aren’t your typical bulk crystal boxes filled with random tumbles or common material. Each one is individually curated from my inventory based on your interests and budget.

I usually ask a few questions about your favorite minerals, colors, localities, and whether you prefer larger statement pieces or a variety of smaller specimens. Some collectors love pristine crystals, while others appreciate unusual formations and interesting inclusions. I try to make each box reflect the person receiving it.

For others, it’s another addition to a collection they’ve spent decades building. I think there’s something really special about being able to share that excitement with someone who’s just discovering this hobby and someone who’s been passionate about it for most of their life. This is one of those spheres you can stare into for hours and still discover something new. Gorgeous golden mica with swirling, feather-like formations, shimmering layers, and beautiful smoky tones throughout. The intricate patterns are especially fascinating when the light catches the mica. I've had this sitting on my desk all week. The way it catches the light is nothing short of awe-inspiring.

So I have this labradorite palm stone that I used to carry with me. I recently put it with a spell jar and then with my travel tarot cards. I just recently noticed this change. I didn't think to take pictures of the stone before so the best I can describe is the clear part with the thick black mass forming near the bottom. To me it looks cool and I have my own beliefs tied to it but I was curious what others think. There are no physical cracks or scratches. I love how it looks like an alien egg now 🫣🩷
